Pacific Fusion, a startup spun from Sandia and Lawrence Livermore labs, has raised roughly $1 billion from backers including Eric Schmidt and Patrick Collison. The company plans to build 156 "pulser modules" that deliver rapid energy pulses to fusion fuel, with system tests targeted for 2030.

All right. Here I am at Pacific Fusion. I'm at one of their facilities in New Mexico. They are a fusion startup that was born about 3 years ago, really off the back of a ton of research that happened at the national labs— Sandia National Lab, Lawrence Livermore National Lab. Sandia is just down the road from here. You could say these guys have gotten kind of like a late start in the fusion game compared to Commonwealth or Helion. They have a different approach. They would tell you they're ahead because their science has been proven out from these 20, 30 years of investment in national lab technology and that they're going to do things a little different. They got $1 billion so far from the likes of Eric Schmidt and Patrick Collison and the state of New Mexico. And this is one of their first I think it's called a pulser module. They're gonna try and have 156 of these all together going onto a tiny, tiny, tiny little chunk of fusion fuel, some atoms, and give us limitless clean energy. They want to do that by, I think, 2030, do the first test that shows their system works. And then they got to show that they can pulse it, that they can hit it again and again and again. And this is all Meant to work by 2035. So they got to build a whole bunch of these, and they got people working nonstop. Let's see what it looks like. We got some capacitors and switches on this thing, and then they got this factory set up to make one after another. There you go, Pacific Fusion. I have a big video on the YouTube channel coming soon. Love you guys. Like and subscribes.
