Matic Robots' new cleaning robot has a computer-vision system that detects pet waste and avoids it, plus obstacle avoidance for wires and toys. Room maps stay on the device, not uploaded to servers or external parties.
Chapters
Alright, we are in Mountain View at Matic Robots. They have a new house cleaning robot. They come with stickers if you want to turn them into a cat or a dog, and they have what seems to be the best computer vision of any of these house cleaning robots. They got a hole. That's the poop. You got to dodge the poop. They have, uh, they've got a poop model that they've built in. Let's see if it can dodge it. It did. You don't want the robot to pick up the poop. I mean, one day maybe we can all dream, but not at the moment. There they go, just training away, dodging wires, dodging toys, building maps of rooms that stay on the device and don't get sent to, uh, China or anyone nefarious. Got an episode coming on Matic Roblox soon.
