At GM's Detroit EV factory, a robot nicknamed Godzilla uses computer vision to lift 3,000-pound battery packs and drop them into vehicle chassis. The pack weighs about a third of a Hummer. It's one step in the automated assembly line.
Here we go, final battery pack getting ready to make its way toward a car. It's gonna go in here, and it's gonna get yoinked by this massive robot. I believe its name is Godzilla. There's another one, he's coming to get ready too. Here we go, we're gonna get yoinked. Do it! Do it! There we go. Let's do a little computer vision first, get centered. This battery pack weighs thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of pounds. And up it goes.
So the pack is about 3,000. 3,000. The Hummer is about 9,000. Okay.
And then off that goes to start its journey again.
