PsiQuantum's photonics quantum computer at SLAC is a prototype for building-scale systems planned in Australia and Chicago, each targeting one million qubits. The setup uses helium cooling to keep photon detectors at operational temperature.
Okay, I am at SLAC, the Stanford Linear Accelerator, and behind me is a quantum computing system from PsiQuantum. We can see their little logo over here, and this is going to eventually— this is the first part of what is going to become massive building-sized quantum computers in Australia and Chicago with hopefully 1 million qubits in each. And this is a helium cooling facility here at Stanford to cool down the photon detectors. That are inside of PsiQuantum's optics photonics-based quantum computer. We'll have an episode up soon.
