A 12-year-old started college and finished three undergraduate degrees by 16, living at home the whole time. They talk about juggling classes with older students and what they did before becoming a prodigy.
So I took the SATs, ACTs, and then, um, started college when I was 12.
And then you got 3 or 4 undergraduate degrees, right? Yeah. By the time you're 16.
I did 3 degrees in 3 years.
Neurobiology, biochemistry, and chemistry. Yeah. And a minor in math?
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah. Um, unbelievable. And I saw your mom made what seems like a sensible decision. You'd applied to other schools, but she didn't want you to live in a dorm.
And so, yeah, I was I was living at home and I would take the bus to college every day. And yeah, it was, it was weird for sure.
What is it like? People are writing stories about you from such a young age, and I couldn't tell if one feels like a freak, if one's proud, if it's just your life, you don't know anything else. And so just, yeah, what it is.
You kind of mentioned this, but I was also a competitive swimmer before college. So, you know, I mean, this is much younger, like ages 9 through 12, and I was pretty good for, that age. And I think through that track, that was kind of my sort of socialization with kids of a similar age. Yeah. But I think I, I just rapidly normalized everything and became very comfortable and normal that, oh yeah, all my friends are 18 and 19 and 20, right? And I'm just very comfortable spending time and hanging out and having conversations with adults that are 10, 20 years older than me. Yeah. So that was pretty normalized.
