Aurora space plane has already beaten an F-15's climb record, reaching 25 km in 118 seconds. It aims for 330,000 feet altitude and Mach 3.5-3.8 speed, both far beyond current records set by the SR-71 Blackbird.

Like the Aurora that we're flying right now, that flies up to 25 kilometers altitude. It's like 80-ish, 85,000 feet-ish. That has already beaten the world record ever for flying off a runway to 20 kilometers altitude. That was set by an F-15 that they totally stripped out, like stripped all the paint off, stripped the radars out of it, obviously no armaments, minimum fuel. It got to 20 kilometers altitude in 122 seconds or something. Okay. And we did it in 118. Okay. With quite low performance version of our aircraft. Okay. So the next version will be able to do it in like probably under 110 seconds. How high up is that? Yeah, 25 kilometers is 82,000 feet.
Okay. So, so just like the fastest we've ever been able to get that high in.
Yeah. Yeah. So that's in terms of climb rate. It'll— I think the highest an aircraft has ever flown is 125,000 feet. You know, we've done 80 so far. We're going to fly to over 330,000 feet. So, you know, we'll more than 2x that record. And the other one is speed. So the fastest thing to ever fly off a runway is, uh, SR-71 Blackbird, does Mach 3.3. Um, we should crack 3.5, maybe something closer to 3.8.
