Starfront Observatories in Rockwood, Texas lets you send your own telescope there and control it remotely to photograph the night sky. The subscription service costs monthly and takes advantage of dark central-Texas skies. They were preparing to capture images of Comet Lemon.
Okay, where are we?
Rockwood?
Yes, Rockwood, Texas. We're at Starfront Observatories with Bray Falls.
What's up?
And you can send your telescopes here and they'll hook them up for you and you can see gorgeous night sky from Central Texas, which is what, super dark?
And yeah, border one, middle of nowhere. It's great.
It's great. And so you send them here, you pay by the month, and you can take amazing photos of the stars. And it's about 4:45 right now, and in a couple hours these roofs will open up on their own. And I think we're going to see the comet Lemon, hopefully. So we'll report back on that.
