Hey guys, it's Sarah with the Boutique Hub and I am back today to answer again another one of your frequently asked questions. And to be very honest with you, this was something I struggled with when I had my store as well. It's how to write good product descriptions, right? It's always the same thing. We have this amazing product, but we just can't form words around it to get that product to sell off our social media or our e commerce site. Well, here are seven tips for you to help you write that awesome product description. The word awesome right there, that's a key word, right? That's a power word. We're going to talk about that in one of the seven tips. All right, guys, here we go. Number one, who are you selling to? Who is your customer? Don't forget this. When you are writing your product description, make sure the items and the words that you're putting on paper resonate with this customer that you've bought the product to sell to, right? Identify who or he they are. Number two, what are the product benefits? What is the solution this product is going to serve and solve for your customer. Making sure this is included in that product description is key. How do we do that? Number three, we tell a story. Now this story needs to be fun, it needs to be entertaining. But basically this story is no different than what you would be telling that customer. If you were face to face, given the opportunity to talk to that customer face to face, what would you say? You would basically let them know and understand and be able to see visibly them using that product. You would tell that story what the product goes with, how they would wear it, how they would use it, what the features, functions and benefits are that is very important in this story that you're going to put on paper or put on screen for your reader to read. Number four, power words. We talk about stopping the scroll, right? Well, how do we do that? How do we grab attention? We use power words like amazing and uplifting and magical and mind blowing miracle product, right? Best selling product, number one. Things like that. If you're confused or just kind of at a loss, not sure what some of those power words are, you can Google it. They are everywhere on the Internet. Tip number five, your images, people don't read right. People look and they see and something has got to jump out and grab their attention. Make sure your images are high quality. Make sure at a glance that image answers all the questions a customer might have the cut. They have to be able to see it, the function, the feel, how it moves They've got to be able to see that. That's why I'm a big fan of videos. If you do product images, make sure they're a lifestyle photo. Front, back, side, all images reduce that buyer's remorse or that confusion about a product. Because remember, a confused mind doesn't buy. All right, so tips one through five helps you make sure that customer notices your product at a glance. We have got to stop the scroll. We have got to grab their attention with the picture, with some power words, right? Get them to take action at a glance. We have that much time to get their attention. I know this is hard.
