Sisters Krista and Jill started Chic Avenue Boutique from two racks in a closet and grew it to 15 racks while raising kids. Their brand motto is C H I C: Creating Happiness, Inspiring Confidence. They credit the Boutique Hub community and a VIP Facebook group with helping them find customers and build loyalty.

Hi, I'm Krista.
And I'm Jill. And we're the sisters behind Chic Avenue Boutique. All right. Chic Avenue Boutique is a sister owned online clothing boutique for women based out of Minnesota. The name stems actually from our first home that we grew up in on Chicago Avenue. It's the place that we played dress up and got our love for fashion and business. We would make crafts and sell them to our neighbors and as like a lemonade stand or at the library.
And.
And it's really where we decided, I think at a young age we always kind of knew we would be business partners someday. As we've grown and evolved as a boutique, Chic Avenue has really evolved into this more of a motto. So chic. Creating happiness, inspiring confidence. C H I C. Creating happiness, inspiring confidence. And in everything that we do, that is what we strive for. Whether it's the clothing that we're selling, the community we're building on Facebook, the events that we put on, the presence we have at pop up shops. We are striving to always, always create a happy experience and inspire confidence in every woman that shops with us.
We are currently standing in our warehouse. It is the front office of my home. When we started four years ago, we had two racks. We were inside of a closet in my spare room in the basement, and now we have expanded to about 15 racks in my front room. When we have pop up events in my home, we spread it throughout our entire first floor. And so customers can shop in the room, they can shop in my kitchen, in the living room. We kind of have a whole like layout that they get the opportunity to shop from. A typical day for me is I stay home with my three children and so we will pull orders. So my kids are good helpers. We pull orders, we take them for whatever the customer has purchased and we bring them to the kitchen island where I package everything. And then around nap time, I fulfill all the orders by printing labels. And then after school, when we pick up my son from the bus, we go to the post office to drop all the packages off. So we carry a variety of styles. Here at Chic Avenue Boutique, we specialize in carrying clothes for women from small to 3x. We know that each of our customers has a different body type of different lifestyle. And so we try to encompass all of the clothing that we buy into our chic motto of creating happiness and inspiring confidence. Because we want all women to be able to feel comfortable, feel confident and be inspired to go out and live their day. The boutique out means a whole Great deal for us here at Chic Avenue Boutique. We found them when we were about six months in, so three and a half years ago. And if we had not stumbled upon Ashley and her mission back then, I don't think we would still be in business at this point in time. We have learned so much about marketing, about campaigns, about just different ways to reach our customers, finding our ideal customer, because at that point, we were still trying to figure out who we were as a boutique owners and who our customers were. It's evolved since the beginning of our boutique, and so we've shifted customer basis in four years. We've also learned a lot about, like, VIP groups and engagement. Jill was resisting for two years. She didn't want a VIP group. And we finally, like, after a lot of research, a lot of talking, we.
I said, we can try it, we can try it. And we did.
So we're here two years later. We have our VIP group that's up and running, and we have a great core group of women that have a support from day one. We saw new ladies coming in all the time that have just become great friends, loyal customers.
Yeah. And I think, like, building off of that, we really wanted to create a community, and I think the boutique hub has really inspired us to do that too, with our own boutique. Rather than just selling clothes, like, we're selling relationships, and we're becoming friends with these women and their husbands and their boyfriends and these people that want to shop with them. And seeing the support has been really cool. So I think we're very lucky and fortunate and blessed that we found the boutique hub when we did. And we. Yeah, like she said, I don't think we would be here if it weren't for the finding of that community on Facebook. I seriously, I remember her telling me, she's like, I found this thing. And I was like, what is it? It's just like a Facebook group. And I. This was before I really understood the grandeur of the whole thing. And I think it was still pretty fresh for you too. So it's been really cool, and we're really grateful to be part of it. I was thinking about this earlier, and if I could think of, like, one word to encapsulate what the boutique hub means, I think it would be inspired because the women, the men, the brands, the boutiques, the boutique hub staff have all inspired us so many, in so many ways, whether it is to have better business practices, whether it's to. To just, like, be better people, have better customer service, do better marketing campaigns. Take better pictures, have more fun at work. Like, there's every single day I see something new that I'm like, wow, that is amazing and inspiring. And so we are just really grateful and thankful that we are part of it. So thanks.
Thank you.
