This is a YouTube video titled "Calling Customers? Remember, 'No' Could Be 'Not Right Now'" containing a motivational talk from February 2025. The content features a discussion between two speakers, including Scott, who encourages BDC agents to view customer rejections as temporary and part of the service process, emphasizing persistence and understanding in customer interactions.
Hello, everyone. Welcome back to another Volley rally. Got Scott on here with a topic he's really excited to dive into. Scott, why don't you tell everyone about customers who say they're not right now?
Oh, man. Being a BDC agent is hard work. You get told no no all the time. You've got lots of bosses, from the customers to the service advisors and all those things. Just know that you're making an impact. We talk all the time at Volley about how service is a guaranteed transaction just necessarily with you. So just keep in mind, when someone tells you no, they're still going to get service. There's a lot of reasons they told you no. When we looked at all the people over 25 million calls who told the agents no in VoLI, 26.86% came in for service to that dealership within the. The next 120 days. So all these people, they get enrolled because they're due. So 26.86%, that's a huge number. It's a much larger number if you add in where they went elsewhere and we'll never know that number. Just keep in mind, though, when you're coaching your agents, have them rejoice in those. Have asked them to push back a little bit and say when you get a no is. Is. Are you not ready yet for a few weeks or, or would there be a better time that we can schedule it for because people are still coming in for service. Rejoice on the nose and the friendly nose. The good thing about getting a no is you can move on to someone else who's going to service it. Just keep in mind these no's still need to be worked because they're just not right now. And don't take it personal. It's hard work, but. But you are here to help people and no one woke up that day to ruin your day. So rejoice in the nose. Realize they're not right now.
And I think that's. I think that's something that we should all take into in every topic. You know, everyone's trying to get through the day, right? So awesome. Thanks, Scott. And, and everyone have a fantastic day.
