Volie 20 Group Experience: How Tanlla Rodriguez Gained Insights and Friends

This is a YouTube video titled "Volie 20 Group Experience: How Tanya Rodriguez Gained Insights and Friends" containing an English conversation recorded in 2025. The video features Jake interviewing Tanya Rodriguez, a BDC manager at Bean Automotive Group in Florida, discussing her experiences and takeaways from participating in the Volley service BDC 20 group meetings, including both virtual and in-person sessions, and how she applied insights from the group to improve her work.
Hello everyone. Welcome back to another volley rally. Today I'm joined by Tanya Rodriguez, one of the BDC managers for Bean Automotive Group down here in Florida. Tanya, thank you so much for taking the time with me today.
Thank you, thank you. Thank you so much for having me.
Absolutely. And you said before we hopped on, thank you for thinking of me. Tanya, we appreciate you and thank you for being willing to hop on and and talk about this topic. Today Tanya is going to share her experience. She's in one of our volley service BDC 20 groups and she's going to share her experience with the first in person meeting that we just had. And so really, Tanya, what did you think of the 20 group so far?
Well, for me, it was the first time that I joined any of this group, so it was definitely exciting. And my biggest takeaway from it was how everybody shared their challenges and what's working for one person might be not working for me or what's not working for me might be working for you. So it was really great to seeing all of us come together and share ideas and be able to overcome issues like that.
Well, the big benefit that you see, of course is, you know, you're talking with people who are in your position with other dealer groups who aren't your competitors. So you can come in and you can talk about what's going on. Was there anything that you were nervous about heading into the meeting?
I mean, I was nervous about meeting people from all over the place. Honestly, I had never been out of like my area. I've never met anybody from any other dealerships and you know, people from another region that maybe they have like different rules, different different views of how, how things are work. It was, it was all very interesting, honestly.
So then when you went home, was there anything in particular that you took from the meeting and you tried to strategize or implement?
I actually did. One of the things that I, that I implemented right away as soon as I got back was we took those service connect alerts that we got from TIS and I turned them into a text campaign and I've already seen tremendous improvement from that. I actually got the idea from one of the stories. I was doing it over the phone. So I'm a big texter. Especially here in my source we use a lot of the text campaigns. So that was one of the things that I implemented as soon as I got back. And also I'm in the process right now of hiring an agent that's only going to focus on upbound so that I'm very Excited to start that too.
That's awesome and that's great to hear. I know that the Toyota, you know, the TIS leads were. I know we spent a good bit of time talking about that and you did, you know, because there were several Toyota members in the group and you know, it's great to hear that you had that feedback and you took that home. Can you also, what do you think of the. Because we're doing three virtual sessions and then one in person each year. I know you've only had one virtual session so far, but what have been your overall thoughts so far?
My overall thoughts. It was, it was a great opportunity. Not only was I able to grab those insights that I was able to implement as soon as I got back, but also I was able to make great friends, Jake, because as, as I made some amazing connections with these people. We actually text all the time. We give each other insights. So I think that was one of the biggest things that I did because I was so nervous, especially like meeting new people. So that was amazing for me.
That's wonderful to hear. I didn't even know that, so I didn't even know that you guys have a texting group going on. Maybe I should have known that. But, but no, that's awesome to hear. Well, Tanya, thank you so much for taking a few minutes here and sharing your experiences. Are there any, any, any closing, any last minute thoughts that you'd want someone who's looking at Valley to understand about why, you know, having these available is a great resource for them.
The only thing that I could say is the connections that you create, the great feedback that you get from other people that are, that are doing the same thing in your industry that, that didn't have that before. So that, that has been a great plus for me since, since joining Bali. Just learning.
Awesome. Well Tanya, thank you very much for taking the time again, really appreciate you and really appreciate you in the group. When you were here, I mean you contributed a lot to the discussion and frankly it was a lot of fun. So we look forward to seeing you again soon. We'll have our next session, I believe in June and know on, on the zoom session and we'll keep it rolling. So thank you so much for joining.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much for having me.
Absolutely everyone tuning in. Hope you have a fantastic day.
