Two people discuss what shapes a first impression. One says authenticity matters most: be yourself, own your flaws, and don't pretend to be someone you're not.

What do you think outweighs everything else in making a first impression?
I have learned over time that it's really all about being you, about being authentic, about being real, and not being a carbon copy of someone else, because that doesn't work. So just be yourself, and if you've got some flaws or something that you want to get out of you. I usually say something at the very beginning of anything I'm doing, and I let people know so there won't be any questions. Because, you know, when you— when someone does something and you have a question about it, just stays with you the whole time they're talking. So I like to get it out of the way right away. So just be real, because everybody appreciates real.
