Nancy learns to think of her 24-hour day like a jigsaw puzzle: the border is fixed, but she chooses which pieces (activities and commitments) go inside. Visualizing your calendar this way helps you consciously decide how to fill each hour.

You only have 24 hours in a day. I have been searching and trying to figure out how to get more, but I haven't yet. You know what, Nancy, if we got more, think of how old we would be by the end of our lifetime. I don't want to think about that. Thanks for that context. Okay, I'm really happy with the, with the 24 hours, but like I like jigsaw puzzles. Do you ever do jigsaw puzzles? I do. I take them out of the box and the first thing I do is I do the border. And then you look at the big box full of pieces and you're like, how are those all going to fit in here? But they magically do. Mm-hmm. Think about your day and your calendar like that jigsaw puzzle. You have the container of 24 hours. It can't be any bigger than that border. And now you get to create and decide how you're going to fill those hours.
