The green dot on a LinkedIn profile just means someone is active on the platform right now. If they never sign out, it stays on even when they're not actually using it, which confuses people into thinking it means something else.
So does that little green dot that's now on your profile picture, does it indicate there's a video or is that something different? That is something different. People get this so confused. I'm so glad you asked that. The green dot simply means that the person you are who has the green dot is currently on LinkedIn. Oh, that's all it means. Oh, they are currently on the platform. That's it.
So that means if I never really sign out, I always have a green dot even though I'm not really there? Yep.
