Dotty Scott explains why platforms suppress posts with external links. Instead, put the link in the comments section to avoid the visibility penalty and keep your post's reach intact.
They want you using those platforms and they want you keeping people on the platforms. So every time you're linking to something else and sending them somewhere else, they don't like that. And they will not give that sort of a post the same visibility that they would ones without links. Don't put a link in a post. Put it in the comments if you want to do that.
