What's up Scrum Masters? Have you ever had that feeling like you've just kind of reached the outer limits, outer bounds of what Scrum can do for you? Maybe like you're just kind of going through the motions of Scrum without any sort of real repeatable way to improve as a team. The good news is Kanban practices can help. Hi there. I'm Mike Lyons, a partner at Chirise. A couple years ago I had a chance to become an accredited Kanban trainer and it really changed the way I view how Kanban can work in a Scrum environment. Over the past decade I've had chance to train and coach many teams globally, big teams and small teams on large programs and small programs. Day in and day out. I'm in the trenches with teams working on large scale delivery programs. And as a coach I've worked with dozens of Scrum Masters who want to do more than just sort of follow the Scrum guides. And this is where the Kanban practices come in. In each lesson you'll have a chance to take a concrete step towards implementing these practices with your Scrum team. And what you're going to find is that by implementing these practices, you'll begin to smooth out the flow of work across your. You'll decrease lead time and improve team morale. We're going to be digging into the sort of the details about how work gets done. You already know the Scrum three five, three. You already know the events that you're running. We do planning and then, and then we execute with that. We have our daily Scrum and do our review and retro. You already know that. But what happens in between, like in the middle of that sprint? Well, that's where the real work begins and that's where these practices are going to be able to be applied. Kanban is going to help you accelerate the productivity of your teams. This is a highly interactive course. So you're going to be expected to do something. No, just sitting around and listening to me babble on about practices. You're going to do real actionable steps. You're going to set up workflows and define work item types and create metrics. And at the end of this course, you'll have an actual Kanban system that you can put to work on your Scrum team. You'll also have a tangible action plan to transition your team from Scrum to to Kanban and improve the flow of work. So if you're ready to take Scrum to the next level, let's get started with Kanban.
