Before we start, I want to just quickly tell you a little bit about the platform and our learning environment, how it's structured, and then how I've got the course laid out for for us to walk through together. So, so the first of all, the platform and how to navigate. I'm going to turn it over to my friends over at Thinkific who've got this video to describe that to you.
Hey there. In this video, I'm going to show you how to make your way around this online course. What you're looking at here is the course player. Yours might look a little different than mine here. Your instructor has probably customized this to make sure that you have the best learning experience. On the left here you can see all the lessons in this course. You can open and close chapters and click on lessons to view them. This is a video lesson and you can press Play to start watching it. When you're finished, you can select this button to mark it complete and continue on. Your overall progress in this course is here. There are lesson options in this part of the course player and you can join in discussions if your instructor has them enabled for this course, Leave a post or reply to a thread to join the conversation. You can get back to your student dashboard and account settings by selecting this button. That's all for now. Happy learning.
It's not too complicated. Pretty simple. You probably had experience with this type of platform in the past. It'll come to you quickly as we go now. As far as the course, here's how I've got this arranged. It's a series of video lessons broken up into sections. After each group of lessons, there's a knowledge check. These knowledge checks could include things like a multiple choice quiz on the content we just covered. An activity where you download a tool or provide some sort of feedback. An interaction where I give you some instructions and then you perform a task. Just a quick heads up. There's a couple activities where I'll actually ask you to grab a pen or pencil and a piece of paper to write some things down or draw something. So you'll want to have that handy when we get to those lessons. It's just in a couple places. There are PDF summaries and action plans after each section, and then finally a full PDF of all the class materials at the end. And you saw this in the Navigating the Platform video. There are discussions where you can upload content and interact with other posts and be on the lookout for Flash. Facts and T3s are tools, tips and tricks. These are sprinkled throughout the program. And then finally there is a final exam and you'll need to get a passing score of 80% on that. Well, again, I'm excited to partner with you on this adventure. My partners at Chirise and I have spent a lot of time and put a lot of effort into this, and we think it's going to be really valuable to you. I think you're going to get a lot out of it. But here's the deal. I've kind of set the table. I've brought my best coaching knowledge and education experience forward. I brought it forward. I bring it to you. Setting the table. I need you to come, I need you to commit, I need you to join me at that table. Oftentimes you'll hear you sort of get out of it what you put into it. It's absolutely true. Please do not take a sort of passive approach to this. Join me in this journey. And I know you'll get much more out of it if you engage deeply with me in the material and the content. So with that, let's, like, let's jump right in.
