Chapters
I salute you. I salute the divine within all of you. I welcome you to the practice of immortality. Today we go to Chapter 8. Chapter 8 is Light My Fire with Your Candle. Or how the yogis like to say, Jyot Se Jyot Jala. This is a very powerful meditation modality, and I am so grateful that I get to practice with all of you. So just relax, close your eyes. Sit straight, and as you sit straight, try to focus on the 3 aspects of your breath: inhalation, retention, and exhalation. Take a full breath in and a full breath out. Your breath as deep and as powerful as it can be. Continue to breathe in this manner. Your breath a little bit exaggerated than before. Inhale and exhale how you would inhale and exhale after you would have run for 1 kilometer. Your breath would be deep and powerful. You would be breathing in a manner as if every cell of your body is breathing. Try to visualize this. Try to visualize as if every cell, every organ is inhaling the breath of life, absorbing it. And then exhaling all that is unwanted. And now try to take your awareness to the top of the head. And at the top of the head, visualize a divine light, the divine light that represents all the positivity of the universe, the divine light that represents God consciousness. The divine light that has the power to heal. And visualize somehow this divine light, this divine spark, has landed at the top of your head. And here is what I want you to do. Inhale completely and try to pull this divine spark from your head down to your heart. Hold your breath and let this spark remain at the heart, and then exhale. And feel this spark coming down from the heart to the sole of the feet. As the spark reaches the sole of the feet, feel your connection to Mother Earth increasing. You're becoming more grounded, more stable. And then again, inhale, and the spark rises up from the feet to the heart. Then again, hold the breath. Let the heart absorb this light, and then exhale, and the spark travels up from the heart to the top of the head. And feel as the spark reaches the head, your connection with the cosmic consciousness increases, you becoming more creative. More in a state of joy and bliss. And again inhale and let the process continue. And I will help you in this process. I am going to speak the cosmic sound, the cosmic chant, the celestial chant of the mantra Om Nama Shivaya. When I speak the mantra Om, inhale. Nama, hold the breath. Shivay, exhale. So when I say Om, inhale the consciousness from the head to the heart. Nama, hold the breath in the heart. Shivay, exhale the consciousness from the heart to the feet. Then again, Om, inhale. Consciousness from the feet to the heart. Nama, hold. Shivay, exhale. And the consciousness from the heart to the head. Let us continue in this manner, as if you are allowing the spark to flow through you, as if just for a moment you are letting go, allowing all the beauty of the earth and the universe to pass through you. Allowing yourself to be the vessel of divine light. Full breath in.
Om Hul Na Ma.
Exhale.
Shiva. Oh, Nama Shivaya.
Oh, Nama Shivaya. Oh. Lama, Shiva. Oh, Lama, Shiva.
Oh, Lama.
Shiva. Oh, Nama Shiva.
Oh, Nama Shiva. Oh, Nama Shivaya. Oh, Nama Shivaya. Oh, Nama Shivaya.
Oh, Nama Shivaya. Oh.
Namah Shivaya.
Oh, Namah Shivaya. Oh, Namah Shiva. Oh, Nama Shiva.
Relax. The power and divinity of the universe flowing through you. Relax your breath, relax your body. And accepting this divinity, let there be gratitude to this divine spark, gratitude to the universe, gratitude for all the divine things that are to manifest in your life from today. Slowly come back, move your fingers, rub your palms, touch your hands to your beautiful face, and open your eyes. Thank you so very much for being here. Thank you.
