Multitasking = Stress | Yoga of Immortals | Ishan Shivanand

In this Hindi lecture, Ishan Shivanand explains how multitasking—simultaneously engaging in multiple activities—has dramatically increased over the past two decades, largely due to the ubiquity of smartphones. He introduces the concept of "phantom alert syndrome," where people habitually check their phones for notifications even when none have arrived, likening it to a psychosomatic disorder. Shivanand argues that the more we multitask, the higher our stress levels become. To counter this, he proposes adopting a single, purposeful thought pattern, embodied in the practice of Shiv Yog. Shiv Yog is presented as an ancient, experimental framework that enables humans to transcend animal‑like, fragmented living and achieve a higher, divine‑like state of consciousness, thereby reducing stress and unlocking human potential.
