Which conductor of energy are you? | Yoga of Immortals | Ishan Shivanand

In this Hindi spiritual lecture, Ishan Shivanand explains that a healthy individual functions as a good conductor of energy, while an unhealthy person is a poor conductor. He uses the analogy of a tumor appearing on an imaging scan to illustrate how disrupted energy flow manifests as disease. He likens the body's natural rhythm to an electrocardiogram (ECG), describing a healthy heart's beat as a natural resonance. When the heart's rhythm drifts from this natural resonance—much like a drum beating off‑beat—the doctor notes an abnormal ECG. Shivanand argues that many ailments arise because the body's energy has deviated from its innate natural resonance, which he calls "Sanjeevani" (the life‑force). To restore this resonance, he recommends spiritual practices—chanting mantras, singing bhajans, invoking deities, and following dharma—as tools that realign the individual with the natural resonance. Whenever an opportunity or divine grace appears, engaging in these practices can reconnect one with Sanjeevani, allowing subtle healing energies to flow even from those who have not received formal instruction.
