Do this before you start studying for your SAT...

Take a full-length baseline test first to see where you actually stand. Then focus hard on your four weakest content areas instead of grinding through thousands of easy questions. Practice under timed conditions consistently, and you'll see real score gains.

I just finished my final SAT exam, and here are all the things I wish I knew when I first started studying a year ago. Save this video for later so you don't forget. Anyone who tells you you can improve your score by 200 points by doing this one simple thing is lying to you. The only way you can improve your score is by studying, but studying doesn't necessarily need to be doing thousands and thousands of questions. Like many people, I started going through all of these PDFs of all the exams from past years, and it was a total waste of time. I would check my score and I would go on to the next test. This is what you have to do instead. First, take a baseline test. This has to be the closest thing you could simulate to a real exam. If your school offers a PSAT, this could be a great indicator. You need to make sure your phone's not in your room and you're really attentive and there's no excuses like, "I would have spent a little bit more time if that was the real test," or, "I just wanted to quickly search it up." This is why so many people find that they do so well on the Blue Book test, but so poorly on the real exam. The second thing you have to do is find the 4 areas you struggle with the most. Many students will take an exam and find they do really well on the last 4 questions on the English section, for instance, the summarizing a passage. But the issue with this is they spend too much time working on what they know rather than working on the content they don't know. From there, once you identify those areas and understand the basic skills, only sort through the hard problems. It's not worth your time to continue doing the same problems that you already know. Once you finally master those topics, you have to make sure you can get them done in the amount of time you have required. Finally, the third thing you have to do is you have to stay consistent. This sounds obvious, but I know so many people, including myself, who will find every reason in the world to stop studying, whether it be a lack of motivation or just not knowing exactly what to do. And this is where StudyShare comes in. I partnered up with many content creators, tutors, and other people in the testing industry to help me create this platform, StudyShare. It offers thousands and thousands of questions. They have their own leaderboard system that kind of motivates you with questions, streaks, and they also have dedicated videos, tutors that will help you learn, and much, much more. If you're looking to score in the top 1% of people, you've got to try out this platform. This is not just another ad. StudyShare offers a money-back guarantee if you don't improve. Comment the word test and I'll send you a discount code that you could use today.
