An affordable housing complex is in the works next to some of the best parks in San Francisco. Permits for a 10-story apartment building at 650 Divisadero Street are working their way through planning. They would see the creation of 107 affordable units on a corner lot that would replace a single-story commercial building. The Young Community Developer and Jonathan Rose Companies are building the 98-foot-tall structure one block from Alamo Square, 4 blocks from the Panhandle, at a cost of 9 figures. And they're working with Methuen Insaida and Sullivan Design Partners on the project. If it gets built, we'd see nearly 106,000 square feet for new units ranging from studios to 3 bedrooms, enough parking for 72 bikes but no cars. Let me know what you think of the project in the comments and follow me for more San Francisco real estate.
