What's up, everybody? Brian Tong here at Dreamforce New York, here to find out about all the latest innovations announced right here. You know, you're looking around, you're probably wondering, how do they get so many people here in one place? Well, that's what I'm here to find out. We're going to learn about Dream Pass, what their new products for in person events. Let's go.
There's a lot of work to put these events on safely, but I'm just so grateful to be in person with all of you, the energy in this room right now, and that's what this keynote is about. We can't reconnect safely unless we completely reimagine our approach to safety. And we've got some exciting announcements in that category.
Today we announced a lot of things like Dream Pass, for example, which enabled close to 2,000 of us to come together for the first time safely.
Dream Pass was announced as a new Salesforce product to enable safer in person events. I got to talk to the people behind it about how it works and I got to try it out too. Can you expand upon what Dream Pass is?
Dream Pass basically is a ticket and it allows us to have the attendee upload their health data and we can analyze it and we can then issue the Dream Pass, which is basically a ticket for the event, and get you a new vet.
And then integrating with testing because it's not just having a vaccine anymore. You need to test and you need to test on whatever the medical protocols are that your cross functional team has decided. So today, if you were an attendee, you had to submit a test beforehand and then you were tested here. That then unlocked the Dream Pass, which is the QR code that gets you into Dreamforce. But this is now a new SKU coming out in January that's going to let all of our customers deliver safe in person events.
It looks like you have a lot of information and data here. A dashboard. Can you just tell me what this is all about?
So here we're looking at this dashboard. It's capturing the different stages of your protocols. So maybe the first stage is that proof of vaccination, then you have a COVID test, then you require maybe another COVID test so all of that can be brought brought into Salesforce and you can track where everyone is on their journey. So here you can see Jack Doe has actually gone and done that. He's submitted his health information. Here's a picture of his proof of vaccination. He's had multiple Covid tests, some are PCR tests, some are antigen tests, and even where he scanned in at the location so you can follow his journey on site. So after all of this is he captured here, Someone can come in and verify it. And automatically, once all of this is verified that you have the right information, you can send Jack his Dream Pass, which is the QR code that gives him entry into your event.
Part of your role is kind of communicating to people about this event. Can you talk about maybe how that was different this time around?
So we really wanted to make sure that the protocols that we defined with our health and safety team were communicated effectively to our attendees in a very streamlined experience, ensuring that attendees were getting the right protocol information every step of the way.
So there was no confusion.
Another big piece of this puzzle is the COVID compliance desk. So can you talk about that?
I think the most important thing about the COVID compliance desk is making sure that we have a little bit of empathy for attendees. This may be their first event that they are attending, so we want to make them feel comfortable. We want to make sure that we can solve their challenge quickly again so they can go into the event feel safe around their peers.
So Dream Pass is a lot more than just a QR code. From the vaccine verification to the testing to the event safety messaging. My experience getting into Dreamforce New York felt safe and easy. I got to sit down with salesforce's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. G, to hear about what went into building Dream Pass.
So first it's about a strategy, such as you see in our health and safety event playbook, where we really break down how we kind of came together, how we collaborated on prevention actually being the key, most important thing to health and safety. Safety and getting together. And then lastly, being able to turn, as the chief medical officer, to turn to the chief product officer and say, hey, can you build me a product that will help me do this right? We've all aligned that this is the right strategy, but I need your help to automate it to make sure it's secure, to make sure it's user friendly. And that's really coming together here at Dreamforce New York.
We're here at an in person event. How have things changed for you?
We introduced Dream Pass here, an opportunity to really bring a safe environment and so we can have confidence being together. And that's really, really important because, you know, from our homes, we've learned a lot about what to do working from home, but there's no replacement for getting together and networking in an in person way.
You can't replicate this, and you can't top the feeling of seeing people in person and checking in and feeling that energy. It's just. It's amazing. The biggest thing is connection. I mean, I think we're all excited here. It's a little cold outside. Being from Texas, but more importantly, I was energized just by having people in the room, having the conversation, engaging.
Wow, look at this. Can you believe we're in New York City? Before you go, you can click on the info card on screen right here, right now to learn more about Dream Pass.
