I spent my life on Wall street and just took it as a given that 90% of traders are men. So it didn't seem at all unusual that their clients were mostly men. Then one morning I was in my bathroom getting ready, putting on the old mascara, and had this important insight. Women live six to eight years longer than men do. Retirement is a woman's crisis.
We started this company with a why do women invest to a lesser extent than men? In the old days, a financial advisor would have a personal relationship with their client and their advice would be tailored accordingly. The more we can know about the clients, the more personalized an experience we can deliver. And Salesforce has built out integration capabilities that make that very, very seam. Before you talk to a potential client, you look there to see what the last conversation you had was. And if you need to remind yourself to make a phone call in a couple of weeks, that's the place where you remind yourself to do it. Salesforce is the platform on the messaging side with email and on the sales side with CRM.
Salesforce has been a terrific partner for us. It really guides our decision making every day. They've enabled us to approach our customers and clients in a way we couldn't have otherwise. Whether it's our LFS magazine on our website, where it's article after article, our purview is women and money. Soup to nuts.
LMS is blazing trails because women have been an underserved market in financial services forever, and it's taken us in directions that really no other financial services company has gone.
There's not one single person who wants their daughters to have less money than their sons. The mission is so much bigger than us. We are all the way to changing lives.
