I think for me, I would measure a successful life by being able to say, these are the people I've helped.
I tend to be somewhat focused and intense. When things are interesting to me, I go deep into stuff.
I've always liked building things and creating things and designing things ever since I was young.
I have a high level of curiosity. One week I want to learn how to make kombucha. The next week, I want to learn how to sew.
My personality is that of someone who just does it. Know the meaning of no.
My name is Kelly, and I'm a director of engineering at Salesforce.
I'm Mark Turner, a software architect at Salesforce.
I'm Melody Bonnett, and I'm an engineer at Salesforce.
My name is Aaron Kamoji. I'm a director of customer engagement at Salesforce.
I'm Sukruta Madhoria, and I'm an engineering leader at Salesforce.
I feel like I have to have some sort of creative outlet. It's really valuable to have a company that supports you being the person that you want to be. They want you to take that time. They want you to explore your hobbies, whether it's working on a new voice with a radio theater, or designing a new costume. Being able to just kind of have that balance mentally balances me as a person.
Salesforce is a big supporter of people who think each person is made of different pieces put together, and that's what makes them unique. And just that message that you know you are not one thing is so powerful and something that you are encouraged to be throughout your time in Salesforce.
The culture in Salesforce is definitely one of community, and it's one where we want to encourage and want to support and we want to build a better product to help us build a better community and build a better world.
What makes Salesforce different is literally its culture. The culture of curiosity, the culture of following your gut. Salesforce is a place you can grow if you enjoy solving problems.
I didn't know how much I was gonna like being a dad before being one, so I'm definitely aware being a dad on my sleeve, and this company's been nothing but respectful of that desire in me. They've encouraged it. Salesforce giving me the time to be a better dad makes me a better employee because my and give me the tools that allow me to be a better employee. And I really feel supported in that at work here. It means a lot to me.
What I'm most passionate about, for sure, is like, making sure to create a world where it's easier for my daughter to not feel like an outsider. You know what? Obviously there's no gender to be attached to any job and any kind of work that one can do. I think one of the main reasons I even considered interviewing for Salesforce, everything about Salesforce felt very genuine. When they said they were passionate about working on diversity, they actually were.
We value diverse perspectives. We value sort of growing our teams in a diverse way and making sure that we have the right representation that not only represents our customer base, but represents all the amazing people that work in technology today.
Salesforce Engineering is a place where smart people solve hard problems and have fun doing it.
They look out for their employees just as much as they look out for their customers.
There's this newness all time. Everything you're working on, nothing's got this, like, tarnish on it. Everything feels good and fresh.
So there's a place for every engineer here to work on the things that they're passionate about.
At the end of the day, it's being proud of the work that you do and building cool projects with people that you enjoy spending time with.
No matter what happens, you know, in my future, there's a place for me here, and I'm just as enthusiastic now as I was when I joined.
I'm excited to continue to build products that are impactful to people, excited to continue to learn the latest and greatest in technologies.
My fingerprints are permanently on the parts of Salesforce that I've been at. And so I feel very proud of my time at Salesforce so far.
Having that legacy of people who can say that I was kind and that I helped them out and I listened is going to be what I'm most proud of. And Salesforce feels like a wonderful place to get to do that.
Sam.
