Hey, welcome back. I'm Kyle and today we're talking about the ways Operations Hub can supercharge your workflows inside of HubSpot. Workflows are bits of automation you create inside your HubSpot account, and you can use them in any part of HubSpot. If you're in marketing, you can automate email sends. If you're in sales, you can automate lead rotation. If you're in services, you can automate feedback surveys and so many other things. With Operations Hub, you unlock a whole new level of magic inside your HubSpot workflows. You you can schedule workflows if you want them to go at a regular cadence. You can create data quality automation that cleans and standardizes your data. And you can even custom code workflows using Node JS or Python to make fully custom workflow actions. So here we are inside my HubSpot account. To get to workflows, you're going to go up to the main navigation and click on Automation and then select Workflows. Here you'll see any workflows you've already created to to create a new workflow, come up to the top right corner and click the orange Create Workflow button. Now you can make different types of workflows based on the records you want to enroll in your automation. So for this example, we'll stick with a contact based workflow. But for any object inside your HubSpot account, including any custom objects you may have created, you can create a workflow and automate actions for those records. Over here on the right, you can select when you want this workflow to start. And with Operations Hub you you get this option to schedule a workflow. You can have it go daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. And if you select monthly, you can choose a specific day of the month or have it start on the last day of the month or the first Monday of the month. You can also choose what time you want it to start. For this example, I'm going to create a workflow that'll run on the last day of the month. Then I'm going to come up to the top right corner and click Next. This is the canvas where you'll create your workflow. You can use any piece of information you have stored in HubSpot as a criteria for getting enrolled into your workflow. And only the records that match the criteria you set up here will be involved when this scheduled workflow triggers. You can also add actions to your workflow by clicking this plus sign. And as you can see, there are A lot of different actions you can add here. One I want to highlight, because it's unique to Operations Hub, is this format data action. So for any Property Inside your HubSpot account, you can format the data inside that property. For this example, I'm going to go with first name and you have all these different format options. If you think of a spreadsheet and all the formulas you have for working with data inside a spreadsheet, most of those are going to be in here. For this example, I'm going to capitalize the first letter of all the first names in my account and I'm going to output a string. So we'll save that. And now we have this capitalized output and we can use this anywhere we want. If we wanted to send an email, we could do that. Or if we just want to copy this back into that first name property to make sure it's capitalized properly, we can do that. Also. For this example, I'm going to copy the value back into the property it came from to make sure that capitalization is correct inside my database. So I'll use a copy property value action. We'll pull the value from that format data action and put it back into the first name property. This way that property is going to be standardized and every month we're going to have this going and cleaning up this data. This is just one example of the sorts of things you can do with the workflow actions inside of Operations Hub. There are other data quality actions such as formatting dates that gives you consistent data in all of your properties. And if you're using Data Sync, which is another Operations Hub feature, then all of that clean, standardized data is going to flow into external systems as well. So you can have consistent, clean customer information in your entire tech stack. So to sum up, you can use workflows to automate most things inside of HubSpot. And if you have Operations Hub Professional or above, you get additional power and flexibility inside of your workflows. You get the ability to schedule them, you get the ability to custom code them and, and you get those data quality automation actions which if you combine with Data Sync, will give you clean data not just inside of HubSpot, but across your entire tech stack.
