A short tutorial (video) demonstrating how to create bundled quotes in Salesforce CPQ to enable upselling and cross-selling. It explains key terminology (bundle, parent product, product options) and outlines three steps: configure a product as a bundle, define features to organize options, and set product options (including pricing behavior, default quantities, pre-selected/required flags).

Here we go. 1, 2, 3 With Salesforce CPQ, it's easy to create bundled quotes to help your team promote, upsell and cross sell opportunities and build packages that are technically valid. Let's take a look Configuring the right quote is all about putting together a solution that meets the customer's needs while staying within certain guardrails. This quote is for a solution suite that contains multiple products and although some items are pre selected and required, some you can easily include a few add ons to better meet the customer's needs. Here are three steps to Creating Bundled Products before we begin, it is important to understand some key terminology. Products can be set up and sold on their own or as a package. We use the term bundle to refer to products that are sold together as a package. For this video, we will use the term product to describe the parent product, which is the foundation for the bundle. The additional products sold in the bundle under the parent product are called product options. Let's get started. First, configure the product to function as a bundle. Since a bundle is a product that acts as a parent with additional children products sold beneath it, the first step is to turn on configuration of the existing product to allow for the quoting of its product options. Next, define the product's features. Features are a way to organize product options within a bundle from the product. Give the feature group a name and define its constraints. You can even categorize the groupings into tabs to further organize the product options offered and improve the user experience. And finally, set product options to define the relationships between products. Starting on the right side of the page, define the product, the product option, and which feature that product option belongs to. Product options empower you to override an individual product's pricing behavior when it's part of a bundle. You can also define the behavior of the product options, such as setting its default quantity or whether it is pre selected or required. By allowing you to configure a product to function as a bundle, define its features, and assign rules to its product options, Salesforce CPQ makes it easy to create the right bundled quotes for your customers.
