Meet Our Teammates: Football Beyond Borders | See How Salesforce Grants Support Nonprofits

I always imagine teamwork as a puzzle. Your strengths might be someone else's kryptonite and their kryptonite is maybe your strengths. My name is Deborah Nelson and I have been a part of Football Beyond Borders for the past seven years. I used to just be told all the time that I was just a chatterbox. I was never directed to that it could be a career. Being a part of fdb, I'd really be like my authentic self. Now I can go out and I can inspire a new generation to believe that they could do it. We've created a community where young people feel safe to be their unique selves. We actually care about the work that we're doing. We actually care about improving the lives of young people. A teammate for me is someone that shares the same values as me, shares the same end goal as me, someone that I'm willing to go on a journey with and create something beautiful with. We are all on the same team.
