The world is moving at a very, very fast pace.
This is what agents and AI is good at. We can build technology that will change people's lives.
It's time to reimagine work. A complete overhaul with less scrolling, less switching and more conversation.
Slack lets us better serve customers, lets.
Us innovate faster, lets us get to market better.
Employee agents in Slack are going to be a game changer, changer for our business.
Because when intelligence meets conversation, work flows.
By being able to bring our Salesforce data on our Salesforce workflows into Slack, we've been able to reduce our time in our deal desk stages by up to 60%.
With Salesforce and Slack integrations, we've driven over a 40% increase in productivity.
Slack is more than just an app. It's all of your people, data, agents and conversations together in the flow of work.
Slack is that unified platform that brings everything together.
One place where you can team up with agents, make them even smarter by searching across your entire company's context and finally, actually like the way you work.
I think about Slack and it's a game changer. Could we serve our customers the way we do without Slack? The answer is no. I will literally protest if you get rid of Slack.
This is about more than technology. This is about people and reimagining what's possible. What will you discover? What will you create? What will you and your team accomplish together? The future of work is here and it's happening in Slack, the agentic operating system for your whole enterprise. Please welcome Chief Executive Officer Slack, Denise Dresser.
Right, let's go, let's go.
Wow.
I did not expect to have this much energy, but now I'm really fired up. So officially, welcome to Dreamforce. Welcome to the Slack keynote. We are, you can see it, we are really excited for what we have in store for all of you today. So much innovation to share with you incredible customers that are gonna join us in this keynote to talk to you about what they're doing. But I just wanna start out with a thank you. Thank you to everybody here in the room. Our customers, our, our partners, our community members, our employees, the incredible people that work on the product, and everybody watching online. You are the reason we do what we do and we think about making sure that we make this product the best place for you to work and break every single boundary. And when you think about breaking boundaries, I don't think there's been a year like what we have experienced this year. The pace of innovation, the sheer amount of disruption and change that we are all experiencing. Do you feel it?
Yeah.
Okay. I'm just making sure because maybe I'm just getting old and it just feels fast. But honestly, I don't think I've ever experienced anything like this and maybe never will again in my lifetime. And it really blows my mind when people will say, well, you know, we're just at the beginning. And I'm like, wow, what is this going to be like? But it is amazing. But what we're at the beginning of is one of the single biggest unlocks in human potential that we will probably ever see. And that is very exciting. And I think that is something that motivates all of us every single day. And when I go and travel around and meet with customers and meet with everybody, honestly, what everybody is thinking about is how do I take this opportunity to unlock human potential? And how do I transform my company? How do I transform the products and services that we offer to meet this moment? And maybe I need to evolve my business model. People are really thinking in a completely different way because this is an opportunity for growth for every single company. Now, when you think about it, this moment is not about just putting AI on top of applications just for the sake of it. This takes a completely different mindset. This is about fundamentally, from the ground up, reimagining. Like Prasad says, this is a moment where we can completely reimagine the way that we work. We can reimagine our companies now, while we have this opportunity, the other thing, this big opportunity of reimagining work in the future. There's another thing that's happening. Technology is changing, and technology is also allowing us to reimagine. But we can see it already in the way that we work. We don't have the patience for working in tabs and forms and inputting data anymore. We want to have a conversation with technology, frankly. We want to ask anything and find everything immediately at our fingertips. Right? We want that. We now expect that. We want to have AI right by our side, helping us to unlock our own potential. We want to work with agents to help us be more productive. And we are not swivel chairing. Like, there's just no patience for that anymore. We want it all in one place. This is the type of technology that is going to help us reimagine the way that we all work and. And unlock this potential. Does this at all sound familiar? Like something you've ever used? Thank God. Okay. All right. Because this is not a far leap for Slack. Slack is already an agentic operating system. Think about it, it's where all of your people work. It's where billions of messages, sorry, billions of messages happen all the time. It's where you're bringing all of your applications, Salesforce, Workday, concur, coupa, you name it. Bring it all into the flow of work where personalized AI helps you right in the flow of work. Just where you're working. And now it's where you bring agents in as teammates so that you can search, you can surface information, you can collaborate right in the flow of work and take action. But what I love about this is this is not new news. This is not a big grandiose vision that I'm unveiling to you. Truth be told, I've shown that slide to all of you before. You've seen it, but this is a reality because some of the most innovative people and companies are already doing this and in Slack and have shown us the future. If you think about some of the largest brands in the world, think about Amazon or IBM. Do you know they have hundreds of thousands of employees working in Slack every single day? And they trust Slack and Salesforce for their mission critical integrations and workflows. Speaking of mission critical, think about the National Weather Service. When a storm hits, do you know that 25,000 emergency responders coordinate all of the communication out to the various cities and infrastructure? They update our nation's leaders and they make sure that we keep the communities safe. All done in Slack. And I said it before, I'll say it again. Some of the most innovative people and leaders and companies run their business on Slack. Think Aaron Levy at Box. They have been running their business on Slack. I think I heard a yell from Box. So shout out to Box if you're here. They've been running their business on Slack since the very beginning and since scaled this company. But they've leaned in even more into an agentic operating system by bringing all of their Salesforce work into Slack. So they now already have a conversational front end. They've gone even further. They brought their customers and their partners, 600 customers and partners. So they're just bringing everybody into the SYNTIC operating system. And oh by the way, on the way they saved multiple millions of dollars in doing that. But it's not just about getting the work done. This is about a full reimagine. Now who was in the main keynote. All right.
Okay.
All right. Well you need to go back and watch it because Mark talked about this. We are reimagining Salesforce and CRM. So if you are a Salesforce customer and user. Your investment is not only safe, it is supercharged. Because to the point of reimagining, we are reimagining CRM for you. Bringing agents right into the flow of work to help your teams be even more productive. And you saw this and you will see more of it today. Bringing Slack as the conversational front end to CRM to really reimagine this experience and meet this moment to unlock this human potential. Now CRM is very exciting of course, but it's more than that. Think about hr. Think about the potential now in this agentic world for a leader, a human resource leader to go from managing people processes to truly focusing their time on unlocking human potential. Like what remarkable is doing. Remarkable has built an agent for their employees in agent force. They've deployed it in Slack. Why? Because that's where all the employees are working. And what happened, 56% of those inquiries that happened were actually answered by the agent. And what I think about when I hear that is number one as an employee, that's a better experience because I don't have to call somebody, I don't have to bother them and I can do it at night, which is when I do all the HR things right. But it also allows the h, allows that team to, to focus on more strategic elements of the business. And that's what we're talking about. With this potential to unlock, you can go around the clock for every line of business. But I have to hit on the engineers who's here in engineering in this room. This is the beginning where Slack started, the OG where Slack went viral. But imagine if you can take conversations and turn it into innovation in a product where you can design, build and ship all in Slack like 11 Labs is doing, building the company, scaling the business all, all in Slack. This is an incredible area of disruption that's happening now. We're going to talk more about that now. You heard some things about sales in the earlier keynote. I know, but I have a history in working in sales and I'm going to let you in on what maybe you don't know, maybe you do know. Sales is not about selling, it's actually about solving the best. Sales teams help understand customers needs and solve problems. And if you think about it, a sales team that has AgentForce360 or working in Slack, they can understand their customers better, they can understand the business needs and help solve problems faster. Like what OpenAI is doing and this explosive growth bringing a go to market agent right into Slack where if you heard that's where they're working, which is truly incredible. Now, this is not just finance or sales. This is every single line of business, front office to back office. But the best part of my job is that I don't just get to talk about it. I actually get a front row seat to some of the world's most innovative companies, the most admired brands brands and how they're meeting this moment. And one of my favorite journeys this year has been with General Motors. And we are so fortunate to have GM in the house, but also Mike Hanley in the house. Mike, I'm gonna bring you up here, so.
All right.
Thank you for doing this.
Thank you.
Yeah, thank you.
Thank you for doing this. Okay, so first of all, you are going. Mary is driving a major transformation, but you are doing it right. All right.
I'm on the front line with a great team.
You are doing it with a great team. But first of all, for all of us who are GM vehicle owners, tell us what is happening at gm. How are you transforming and speeding up innovation just so we know what we can be excited about for our new cars?
Yeah, absolutely. Well, you know, the nice thing is the automotive industry is going through yet another fantastic transformation. And GM has gone through many of those. We actually just celebrated our 117th birthday.
Congratulations.
I can't really clap at the thank you.
No, it's great.
And what we're really focusing on now is what is that next transformation that's going to make sure that GM continues to be a leader in the automotive industry for the next century and well.
Beyond that reinventing or something.
Yeah, and it's. And it's a really exciting time for all of us. And you think about like, the ways that we work are so foundational to the products that we ultimately want to deliver to our customers that delight them, that move them around, that their families, they trust their families in and things like electric vehicles, things like novel manufacturing, robotics, autonomy. Ultimately, what we want is we want your companion car for the future. That it's autonomous, it's powered by AI, it's really with you throughout your day to day life. And the opportunities. Yeah, exactly. And you think about the technology opportunities that are there today. There's so much innovation ahead of us. In order to make sure that we capitalize that, we've really got to transform how the company engineers, designs and delivers vehicles.
Yep. Well, one of the things we were really honored about was that you felt that it was critical. A lot of you did felt that it was critical in order to accelerate innovation. You had a Lot of other tools. You had a lot of other productivity tools, but you really felt strongly that you needed Slack to power this transformation. And can you tell everybody why that was and how it's helping you accelerate the transformation?
Well, you know, something you just said is so key to that, which is it's not just about tools for us. It's really about we want a totally different way of working and to embrace a totally different way of working. It's not just we swap tool A for tool B. It's really what allows us to maximize the productivity, the happiness of not just our engineers, but also the customers who are on the receiving end of that. So really reimagining how work happens. And Slack has been super foundational to that. And I can tell you, in the last nine months, we've gone from 16,000 users on Slack to 96,000 users on.
I know I said last year, pretty phenomenal footprint.
80,000.
You were like, no, that's not right. I'm like, oh, yeah, probably less. I probably exaggerated. He's like, no, it's 96.
Yeah. So 96,000.
And.
And, you know, you mentioned how many messages get sent a day. We have 2 million messages sent on the average workday. But I think what's neat is it's not. It's not just about chat for us. I mean, we mentioned, like, it's really, where does the work actually happen of designing engineering and building and delivering vehicles and delighting our customers. And all kinds of workflows are actually getting imported into that. So we've already added hundreds of workflows. And it's not just, you know, ask an HR. Bottom, yeah, 7,000 workflows. But it's cool. Cause we actually are doing really wild stuff. Like, it's not just SaaS integrations. I mean, we're abstracting context from mainframe systems involved in manufacturing the vehicles and presenting that in the Slack workflows and in the teams where you're already doing the rest of your job with your teammates.
Yeah, well, I'm so inspired, really. You are all inspiring us and thinking about how you've brought Slack in, you've adopted it. You're really seeing the real immediate impact. And we're so grateful for the partnership. Now that you're transforming the way that you work, what do you think is the future for GM in that regard?
I think the future for GM is again, reimagining how we work and where work happens so that we're really maximizing, frankly, like, the employees doing the best work of their lives. And getting rid of the.
Getting good about it. Right.
Getting rid of the toil. Giving them the best in class tools, capabilities and really platforms where they can build the best possible vehicles to delight our customers and the best possible experiences for them. So when I look at opportunities to take out 80% of the toil in somebody's job, they have all the tools they need to spend that extra time on the things that they originally came to GM for in the first place that they're so delighted for. And ultimately what that accrues to is value that we deliver to our customers.
That's awesome. Well, Mike, thank you so much for coming to Dreamforce. Is this your first one?
This is my first Dreamforce.
Well, all right, let's give them a hand.
Thank you.
You crushed it.
You're the best.
Thank you.
Thank you so much. We really appreciate the partnership. Thank you. The jam team. Okay, well, I said that Slack is already an agentic operating system but we are not resting there. So there's a ton of innovation happening. We're going to unfold this all for you in three chapters. The first, reimagining CRM. I explained what that meant. We're going to go into that in a minute. Second, how can you unlock personal productivity with AI right in the flow of work as a superpower? And then last, how do we bring this whole vision together to unify your entire organization to bring agents into the flow of work and truly make this an extensible platform.
So.
So it is my pleasure. He almost didn't make it. But it is my pleasure to introduce Salesforce co founder Slack CTO Parker Harris. Let's go.
All right, All right. So there's no way I would miss this. Come on. And as a co founder of Salesforce, I'm really excited to tell this first chapter, reimagining Salesforce and Slack. And we're doing just that. If you talk to Marc Benioff. Sorry, shout out to the community here. Everybody give a big shout out to Slack community. If you talk to Mark Benioff, the first thing he'll say is every one of our clouds needs to be Slack first. So we're re engineering all of Salesforce to be Slack first because shouldn't like closing a deal in Salesforce be as easy as just talking to someone else in Slack? Wouldn't you love that? Well, that's exactly what we're doing. And we're doing that by delivering you sales in Slack IT service in Slack, tableau analytics in Slack, HR in Slack. And that's just the Beginning every single cloud is going to be Slack first. You may never log into Lightning. I would love that. I built lightning. You may never see it again in your entire life. That is my goal. Yes, that is my goal. How about that? Yeah, we have to disintermediate ourselves first. If you want to get started now, you don't have to start from scratch. We have employee facing agent templates in every category. They're GA now. Start with those, customize them with AgentForce, deploy them in Slack. And we've completed an entire agent called the Channel Expert Agent. So how many of you have been in a channel? You're asking questions. It's like a help channel. Everyone's posting answers. There's that guy who does. You don't know what they do for work, but they're always answering the questions. Well, wouldn't it be nice if that guy didn't work at your company and you had an AI bot doing it that you're not paying anything. Well, maybe you're paying a little bit to us. Channel Expert in every channel can answer those questions for you. Now, I could talk all day, but I'd rather have one of our customers talk. And I'm going to come over here.
Eli.
Welcome, Eli. Eli Wallen from Engine. Now, we just talked to gm. So is Engine a car company? Do you make engines? What is Engine?
I'm glad you asked. And we do not make cars. Engine is a modern travel management platform. Today we serve over 20,000 businesses and about a million customers. Booking, travel, streamlining.
Amazing.
Simplifying travel, making business travel easier.
Yeah.
Do we have some Engine customers? Are we going to have some Engine customers here in the room? Yeah.
There we go.
All right. So you deployed Agent Force, and I understand you deployed it in 12 days. Tell that story.
Yeah.
Well, you guys took so much of the work out of it, so we decided to just focus on it. AI can be scary, I think, for a lot of people, for a lot of businesses. And the team just got behind it and we said, hey, we're going to do this. And so in 12 days, we launched our first tool. It's called Eva Engine Virtual Agent. And Eva now handles over 30% of all of our cases. And we'll do about 800,000 cases this year.
Amazing.
Without any sort of human assistance.
Yeah.
So that's real productivity. I think you have thousand employees, maybe more. Yep, about a thousand employees this year growing rapidly. How is AI and how is agentforce.
Making them more productive?
Yeah, it's remarkable. I mean, honestly, when. When we're trying to onboard that many people and it's remote first, right. So obviously there's onboarding there. But when you have that agent inside of Slack, people can just ask questions. We think about as context is worth a hundred IQ points. We see a lot. And so when someone can just ask the question and get it right there, they don't need to wait on the manager. And maybe the manager is 30, 60, 90 days old too. So it really brings all that context forward and answers questions.
And there's really no stupid question when you're talking. Yeah, that's right.
You don't get trouble.
Thank you. Eli and I want to do a demonstration, if you don't mind, of your technology. So we're going to go right into the demo. And so I'm going to play the role of Dimitri. I work for Eli, actually, and I run client operations. Client operations is making sure the trains run on time, making sure those hotels and travel bookings are happening. And here I am in Slack. How many of you have seen this screen? I know the answer. Not one of you. Because it's a brand new screen called the Today View. How many of you want to start your day in Slack and have it proactively tell you what's going on? Shout out. Sure. I got my calendar in there. I have my agentic command center. Sometimes these agents are doing long running work. I want to see what they're doing. I've got it there. I could also talk to AI here if I needed to, but I want to show you where AgentForce is if I need to use some Agent Force agents. I have a new tab right here. The Agent Force tab here. Eli and Dimitri and others within Engine have created two amazing agents and they've named them. They have personalities. May and Chloe. We're going to talk about Chloe in just a second, but I want to show you May. So let's crack open.
May.
May is like the everything agent for employees that have any questions. So, hey, you know, financial questions, IT questions, HR questions. She will answer all of them. How did they do that? Well, if you look really quickly at AgentForce, you'll see all they did is they took AgentForce. They create what are called AgentForce topics, bundles of information, bundles of skills for HR, for IT, for finance. They could add more. And that's how they bring all of the skills and the data and everything together with Agent Force to make Mei so smart that she can answer every employee's general question. Now let's go back to Slack. All right, so I'm going To go back. I want to go back to my day. And let's see, is there anything else that I need to know about my day? Maybe. Is there something. No. There's a case created. There's a case. Let me go take a look at that case and see what's going on, because I want to know what's going on. Can we open that case? The P1 incident?
Yes.
Okay. All right. So we've opened this incident or this case. An incident has happened and it's not a good incident. Okay, Something's happening with bookings, but this is not a normal Slack channel. This is a Salesforce channel. We have deeply connected Salesforce with Slack. So if you're a Salesforce customer, this is how I'm going to make sure you never go to lightning. Look at that incident details. All that information is coming to you. All of your customizations are coming to you. Your action buttons. I got my AI summaries. I got my related conversation. What else are people saying about this incident in Slack, Bringing the humans together? I have my related case issues. That's awesome. But what else do I have? I also have AI in here with me. I have Chloe in here. And Chloe, the first thing she did is she created an incident channel. That incident channel is a case in Salesforce. She gave me a summary. But look at this. Scroll over to Chloe. We also asked Chloe, can you pull in a swarm team? Chloe knew who to pull in for this incident. She pulled in Adam. It's a bad incident. She pulled in me. Dimitri. She pulled in Eileen. She pulled in Charles. She pulled in all of the key people into this swarm because here we wanted humans and AI working together. Because I want to get the client operations back healthy again. Because Eli is not happy when those bookings aren't happened. That means revenue for him, bad customer success for his customers. Adam is saying. Interesting. I wonder if it's something to do with some recent work and fraud prevention. So, Chloe, were there any major releases code pushes to production? I don't have to go find my engineering manager. Chloe knows. She says, I found a push that may be related to this incident. Can we see the push? No. Okay, we're not going to see the push. But she's found a JIRA ticket, hopefully.
Nope.
She's gone in and she's found a ticket about the incident. She's found some information about the incident which is super helpful for me. I've used AI to tell me what's going on. I don't know if this fraud detection algorithm, this push of code has caused the issue or not, but it is a major change to production and I know my customers are not happy. So you know what I'm going to do is I'm going to say, screw it, I'm rolling that code back. Do I call my engineering manager right now and roll it back? No, I don't have to. I say, chloe, can you roll that back right now? Well, exclamation point there. And Chloe does that. Bam. This is automation AI working together. So Chloe has closed the booking. That's awesome. And she's also told me that. Okay, great. Not only did she roll it back, but I know now that the bookings have gone down. How do I know that? I mean, the failures have gone down. I know that because all the bookings failures were streaming into Data Cloud. Data Cloud was being processed and then shooting up to Tableau for analytics. And a tableau metric came to me in Slack. I never went to Data Cloud. I never went to Tableau. The AI and the analytics are coming to me. And now I have confidence to know everything is fine. Now I'm going to tell Chloe, close that incident, please.
We're done.
She's closing the incident again. Humans and AI working together. She's closing the incident. A flow trigger just fired. And what happened is Chloe and the AI summarize this incident. Come back to the channel. I have all of my results. And that's humans and AI working together to be more productive. Agent Force and Slack within Slack to be more productive. We close that incident right away. Pretty amazing, right? All right. But it's not just about Agent Force. Slack is the best place for all AI. And we have got some cool native AI right in Slack. And the best person to talk about that, Peter Doolin.
Thank you. Welcome, Peter.
Thank you, Parker.
Thank you, Parker. Okay, we have some incredible, incredible demonstrations to show you today. And it's incredible to have agents and people together in channel. We have these unlocking moments of all this incredible productivity. And so over the last year, we've listened very deeply to our customers, we've been out talking to lots of our fans who are here with us today.
Woo hoo.
The community are right with us. And we've been thinking deeply about Slack and its future. And we want to make things as simple, pleasant and productive as possible. And to do that, We've introduced over 1000 new features and enhancements to the platform in the last year alone. But it's not just that. We know that we want to give you AI superpowers and we've Been watching what works. We've seen things like preparing for a big meeting, organizing a canvas so that I can make sure that my team is all on board at the same time, or maybe booking a calendar event to make sure that everyone's actually circling around the exact same challenge to fix. Maybe it was that swarm that Parker just gave to us. And over the last year with Slack AI, we've had incredible success. We've had writing assistance from Slack AI, we've had for big multinational teams or.
All around the world.
We've had the ability to do real time translations so everyone's on the same page. We've had the gift of time coming back to you because we've done thread summaries and agent summaries and channel summaries. We've had recaps with coffee in the morning for all your favorite channels so you can kind of catch up on what happened over the weekend or over the night. And my favorite topic of all, of course, is AI Huddles. AI Huddles. Do you remember that huddle you were on where you committed to that action last week? Well, AI Huddle is going to remind you to actually make sure you do that. And so we've learned a lot. We've begun to bring AI into the workflow, we've begun to bring it into how we work and it's making us more and more productive. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we've recently introduced a course using Slack AI. Slack Enterprise Search. Slack Enterprise Search brings us that beautiful conversational interface that we've come to love right into the flow of work and giving me access to the entirety of the knowledge of my company. I can now see things inside of Asana, GitHub, OneDrive, Teams, Messages even. And I can bring all of that into the flow of my work. No more am I context switching out of search or out of Slack into some other third party thing. I'm going to stay right here in the flow of work. I'm going to bring the context, that beautiful context right with me. Now just imagine that I can go beyond finding things. Just imagine I can go beyond that sort of context and insight. Imagine if you would, a moment in time maybe right now, where I can bring an intelligent co pilot with me, an intelligent friend, an intelligent helper. Introducing, ladies and gentlemen, Slackbot. Here is your personalized AI powered companion right in the flow of work. Thank you very much, Slackbot. And what's really powerful about Slackbot, it is grounded in your conversations, your files, your workflows, your apps. And it's Right there in the flow of work. And it moves you from asking questions to getting outcomes answers, drafting documents, updating workflows, triggering things, using tools across the enterprise. Do you notice in the bottom left hand corner, Slackbot is ga, hopefully January. Denise. We're going to deliver it in January. And we've had incredible customers currently in the pilot for Slackbot. And at the end of this session, I'm going to show you a QR code to have your phones ready where you can join us as well on this amazing journey. And speaking of the journey, let's bring us on a journey with a customer. And the customer is Anthropic. This is an incredible customer and partner of Salesforce and Slack. And they have done incredible things that have grown their company. They've accelerated their deal cycles by 60% and saved $4.5 million in deal operations alone using Slack. So I'm going to pivot into the Persona of a revenue operations leader for Anthropic, and we're going to actually try and maybe save some more money and get some more deals. And so with that, what we're going to do is the following. I want to introduce to the stage Amy Bauer. Amy, right here. Amy is the incredible designer on Slackbot. And by the way, I see the engineering team leaders right here. Thank you so much for giving us this gift. And as Parker says, I kind of land my day into the Today app. And this is a sort of warm, fuzzy place where it's quiet and calm, where I start my day. And it's sort of the engine of productivity that allows me to see and sort of orientate myself toward the day. And it's not just showing me a conversational interface. But of course, this is the place I can act. I can actually start to maybe even if we click on engagement. Yes. I can actually talk to my CRM. I can ask it questions. I can get it to update an opportunity. I can ask it prepare a forecast. All here inside of my day, inside today. Now look at the top of the screen. What do you see? It says your pipeline's looking strong, but there are two Q4 renewals needing attention, including a SoC2 exception for Capricorn. That Capricorn is an account. SoC2 is this legal document we're supposed to give away with our product, make sure it's compliant. And so it's already dragging my attention toward what's important. It's already sort of clearing out the noise and giving me a quiet, calm place to focus and bring my attention. So guess what? I'm going to ask a really simple question. What's actually happening on Capricorn? What's the latest with the deal? So this is a very human question. Notice how I don't say Capricorn account, I don't give it a detailed information, I don't say when it has the context of the conversation, it knows from that deep context. And you'll see right here in the beginning, Slack bot is telling me what it's doing. It's reasoning over the data inside of all of my Slack conversations. It's also reasoning across all the metadata sitting inside of Salesforce. And from that, in parallel, it's pulling back this incredible set of insights. And you'll notice in these insights at the top of it it says, guess what? There actually is a deal. It's closing and the renewal is closing at the end of this month. And we have a blocker. We have an issue. We need to make sure we get the new SoC2 confirmation out to the customer. Well, you know what, in the very last sentence, would you like me to help you set up follow up meetings and reminders for the outstanding approvals? So clearly I'm going to need to dig in here. I'm going to have to sort of get into the deal channel and figure out what's happening. So let's go over to the deal channel and see if we can actually start to collaborate with our team. And here we are in the deal channel and there's that wonderful approval right there for $600,000. And you can see the date is the 25th of October. And the deal note is very simple. Customer is requesting a contract exception with legal terms for the SOC 2. How many people have lost a document inside a file server in the last, say, five minutes? Probably a lot of people.
Okay.
And so I'm going to have to find this document because you know what you have to do for the SoC2, you actually have to attest that is up to date and correct. And so therefore, let's go ahead and ask a real hard question. Can you find a SOC2 compliance document? Have you ever talked to a file server like this? Have you ever talked to search like this? Of course not. Because none of those have the context of your business. None of those have the context of your conversation. None of them actually understand what you're doing in the moment. And so here's where we're bringing the power of AI forward. Boom, we find the document. It's actually sitting here inside of our Google Drives when outside of Slack. And you'll notice the fact that it has a citation right here in the middle where it says, go look at the report for the security documentation so I can check and validate my confidence that this is the right document. Likewise, look at the last sentence. Would you like me to help incorporate that into your deal preparation materials?
You know what?
Absolutely. But let's do this. I don't have a lot of time here at Anthropic we get things done fast. And so I'm going to ask a very hard question. I want Slack bottom to do a sort of a three part question. Create a preparation document for me with this information. An email for the customer. And by the way, I need to get team together to actually make sure we can actually get back to the customer properly. Now think about this for a moment. This is a really complex question. It's got three parts to it. So I have to look at the actual document itself. Create a canvas. A canvas is going to be the thing that actually makes sure that we all have the team circling around the same context. So, you know, SOC 2 is important. This customer is a huge renewal. And by the way, do you remember the date again? It's next week, so we have to move at speed. So look what it's doing. It's checking for the team availability. How did it find the team? Well, it looked at the deal channels and it figured out who are the salespeople, who are the most active people, who are the people who need to be on this call. I'm not going to invite everybody on the call. I want to invite the right people on the call. Second, it then started looking into my messages. It started to understand my tone of voice, how do I speak to my customers, how do I write, what language do I use? And so it starts to craft the email. And so here we go. There's my email. Dear customer, I hope this email finds you well. As we approach your contract renewal date for Friday, I want to provide you, blah, blah, blah. Okay, I'm going to ask a very simple question. Wouldn't you all love that your salespeople could write emails like this? Wouldn't it be amazing if they actually could put a sentence together? So I like this email. I want this email. I'll pay for this email. Thank you very much. A round of applause for all the salespeople in the room, by the way. Okay, so I've got my email. And look at this. I've got my prep document. I've just created a prep document. There's a link here. Can I click on that link by the way, Click boom. There is my document. Look at this document. Overview of the deal. $380,000. Key stakeholders, current blockers. Let's keep going through the scroll. Pricing approvals. That's my job. Remember, compliance documentation which we've found. Next steps for the team to make sure they're on top of things. The meeting next week, who's going to be there. Even a sample agenda for my meeting. Oh, my God. I'm going to pause for a moment and ask you to think about how much time we have just saved. Imagine the power of Slackbot across your companies to give you the power of context and AI in the flow of work. And last but not least, Adam, Erin and Sarah have all been invited to the calendar. Invitation to make sure that we are going to be closing this deal and renewing this deal. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to say this. This is a new Slack. This is Slackbot. This is what AI was meant to be. Thank you very much. And now what I'd like to do is introduce onto the stage our Chief Product Officer, Mr. Rob Seaman.
Thank you, sir. All right, I need an accent and a vocabulary, but I. I will say Slackbot has changed how I fundamentally work within Slack. I highly encourage you all to come by the campground and check it out. I also love Anthropic. Thank you to the Anthropic team for how you work with us. So we talked about AgentForce. We all saw how powerful AgentForce is in Slack. We saw Slackbot, which is your new AI companion who's right there next to you helping you throughout your day. But who here uses other agents not from Salesforce? You're lying if you don't raise your hands. Who here uses ChatGPT? All right, who here uses Claude? Who here has ever used Cursor or figma make or anything like that? All right, you all use agents that aren't from Salesforce. We want to be the home for all agents and we think Slack is the best home for all agents. Guillermo thinks that too. He'll be up here in a minute to speak with me. But one of our design principles is to be a great host. And we typically think about that in terms of users or humans. So we'll often say the software should be laid out in front of you like the amenities in a well appointed Airbnb. When you walk in, it should just be where you expect it to be. And we think we've done a pretty good job of that with the consumer grade experience in Slack and the craft that we put into the software for users, but we need to do that for agents as well. And so what do I mean by that? We want agents to exist like teammates. Those agents should be something that you can dm, something that you can add to channels, something that can reply. And they need the context that's in Slack to powerfully reason. So we've done that for AgentForce, but we're excited today to announce that we're doing that for all third party agents and we're doing this through a real time search API and an MCP server. So agents are going to be in Slack as a teammate that you can dm, you can add them to channel and they can be grounded in information in real time. That is valuable context so they can make better decisions and reason through the actions that they're going to take. Now this is not just an announcement. Today we have seen over an 800% increase in the number of agents that are being built and deployed to Slack in just this calendar year. Some of the most innovative companies in the world, Vercel, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Perplexity, Rider, Dropbox, you name it, they are all building agents and deploying them to Slack as the user interface for those agents for employees to use. But importantly, they're also running their entire companies on Slack. So I'm excited to bring up one of the founders and CEOs of one of those companies, Guillermo Roach from Vercel. Guillermo, thank you for joining us.
Thanks for having me.
So for the people in the audience that don't know what Vercel is, tell us a little bit about Vercel.
Behind every great idea, there is great infrastructure. And behind every happy developer there is coffee. No, there's great developer tools and great developer experiences. So Vercel builds the best tools, frameworks and infrastructure to create and deploy applications globally. If you came from not the city of San Francisco, if you're on your ride here from the airport, you probably saw a billboard that said, if it's fast, it's on Vercel. So if there's a fast website or a web application that you love, it's likely hosted on Vercell. But also we were kind of chatting about lightning and pages and pixels of the past. And we thought about what's the future of the Internet? The future of the Internet is agents. Vercel is building the AI cloud where you can come up with any idea and bring it to life in the form of an agent. At Vercel, we also believe that the best way to build products is to be customer zero of our platform. So as part of our Vercel AI cloud, we built V0, which is an agent that allows everybody to bring an idea to reality. You just type it up and we turn it into a production grade application.
Well, that's awesome. We're going to show it to you all. But while we're pulling that up, can you tell us a little bit? You've built, I think, one of the most important companies of this time, but you've also built one of the most important platforms for the most important companies of this time. So tell us a little bit about how Slack has helped in that journey.
Yeah, so what you're looking at here is actually my brain channel. I'm so AI pilled that I've uploaded my brain to the matrix of Slack. It's just a way to justify how much time I spend on Slack realistically. But we believe in transparency, we believe in open source. All of the frameworks and developer experiences that we're known for are open source. And that means that we build by engaging with community, by engaging with customers. And internally at Vercel, you sort of build in public. Right? We share our thoughts. We like to think that we're training our neural network. I think you all are bringing that idea to reality. So it's really exciting to see. And yeah, we're all about collaboration and the free flow of ideas.
Awesome. Let's take a look at it. So V0 is coming to Slack. So Guillermo is excited about that. He's actually going to say in his brain channel, hey, V0 is coming to Slack. Let's go ahead and put a landing page together for this. And he's going to mention Keith, who's the cmo. And so I think one of the themes you're going to see throughout this is v0 makes it possible in Slack for people that traditionally could not have built software to build software together. Okay, so Keith is going to respond to this and say, great, we're on it. We're going to do it in this project channel. Now Keith's going to pop over to the V0 app. Okay, so this is the V0 app on the web. So if you've never visited it, it's a beautiful, clean interface. He's going to give it a little.
Bit like ChatGPT, right?
It does, it does.
But it's ChatGPT for building.
It is.
I like the black and white. It's dead simple. So what's it doing here? You gave it a prompt and now it's.
Yeah, essentially you write up your application idea, any prototype, anything that comes to mind, everything that's on Slack can be turned into software. So what you're seeing on the left hand side is that we take your idea and we process it with a team of agents. Think of it as having a team of developers, designers, PMs, on demand. So they're processing your idea, they're processing your problem, and they bring it alive with the same code and infrastructure that powers the giants of the Internet. The same production grade code that powers OpenAI.com would generate for you just from an English based or actually any language prompt.
That's amazing. Well, so this was the CMO of Vercel that created. This is a pretty simple landing page. And that was the CMO of Vercel by himself. And I think this is an amazing product, but it's inherently single player. And I think one of the cool things that Vercel can Now do with V0 by bringing that agent into Slack is make it multiplayer. That means the entire marketing team's now going to be able to make this landing page better. So let's take this landing page and go put it back in the project channel and show how everybody in the marketing team can now contribute to the ongoing iteration of this particular landing page. So he's going to share it back in this channel and you'll see in thread people are going to start chiming in with things that they want to have changed as part of this.
You can nitpick as much as you want. Any idea, and we'll bring it into code.
Exactly. So you can see here, Gene says, hey, let's go ahead and add three bullet points. Matt's like, hey, we totally forgot our own logo. Let's go ahead and put that up in the top left. And Keith's going to say, this looks great. V0, go make it happen. And he didn't have to hop back out to the V0 app. He just did this right in thread. V0 has the context of this channel, it has the context of the thread and the messages that are above it. Look at this. This is something GN Team pushed us on. But these are new features we've added to our app framework. You see these thinking steps and thinking strings. This is really important for AI.
The first time we met, we used V0 to think what the future of Slack itself could look like by just prompting. Hey, I could have a thinking stream here, could render my tokens here. And we're now bringing it to reality.
So cool. So if we hop back over to V0. You'll see that page is updated. We've now got the bullets, we've got the logo at the top. Now the team's going to keep going back and forth in channel. So if we hop back over to channel. I think Matt didn't like Gene's bolding. Oh, Gene actually wants to add a contact form. So we, yes, we're Salesforce so we created contacts. You are putting your contacts into Salesforce?
Gene likes to close.
Yes.
So there's going to be an intake form on the website. Matt says that looks great. Go ahead and add a sign up button at the bottom and remove the bold on the font. Keith's gonna say, sweet. Go ahead and go ship this V0. And then boom, when we hop over, well, actually give it a second, it's going to show it. It's actually going to show all the thinking steps. So it's going to change it from a single column layout, which it was before, if you remember. It just had the kind of the title to a two column layout with the title to the left and the intake form to the right, ships it. We open it up in V0 and boom, there we have a landing page. We're going to give you all a QR code to this here in a second. But we just showed you v0. And now if you all go to slack.com marketplace today, there are a number of different agents that are already available to you in Slack. There are agents from Anthropic, you've got Claude, you've got ChatGPT, you've got Rytr, et cetera. There's a number of different agents that are out there. But we're excited to welcome V0 to the agent Exchange. And I think we'll pop up here in a second, actually, the Agent Exchange where we are bringing the marketplace into Slack. So if you go to slack.com marketplace today, we're going to make that available in the product. So you can immediately add these products like V0 into your own Slack instance. But if you pop out, we all want you to be able to experience V0. And while we'll prone that up, why don't you tell us a little bit about like how, how do you actually use V0 at Vercel? How much code is actually being written on any given day or week at Vercel?
The fascinating thing is I started this company because I wanted to give the power of building like the giants of the Internet to every developer. No setup, no frills. But with AI, we started realizing that we can bring that power to everybody. So the most surprising thing about V0 is that we threw it into Slack. Now every single person inside our organization can build software. They can contribute, they can turn their ideas into working prototypes. They can bring those prototypes to production. And so anytime we have a choice, right, we could keep talking and talking and talking, or we can actually ship. And so V0 is actually turning those ideas and thoughts into action, into real pixels, into real interaction. And it's really changing the way we build.
That's amazing. I mean, it's one of the things we say at Slack is like, get to code as quick as possible. And I think this helps do that.
Get to V0 as quickly as possible.
Exactly. So go scan this. Give it a shot. Thank you, G, so much for being with us and thank you for being a customer. With that, I'd love to welcome Denise Dresser.
Back up.
All right. That was awesome. That was fantastic. Okay, so we covered the whole gamut and hopefully you can see that you now have the power with Slack and Salesforce to truly build an agentic operating system and an agentic enterprise. It's all there. Except for one thing. Except for one thing. We have the products, we have the vision. But what about the builders? What about the developers? What about the people in our communities? Without those, without the amazing community, without all of you, nothing would happen. And so I want to take a moment, first of all, to recognize one specific individual that is in the Slack community is an MVP of the Salesforce community, a trailblazer, a All Star Ranger. I can't even like all the accolades I'm going to show in a second. Also, this person, in the last 30 days helped 500 people in the Slack community get 8,000 badges. Have you got the badge? Is it. It's not easy to get a badge, let alone 8,000 badges. It is truly my pleasure to give out our Golden Hoodie award right now to Piyusha Polania. Congratulations. We're so proud of you and we're so grateful to you. Here. We're going to get a photo. Looks great on you. It looks great on you. Amazing. Thank you. Thank you. Congratulations. Okay, so I'm going to close on this. We are reimagining the future of work together. The future is right now. We can all do this right now. But together we will reimagine experiences that are conversational, that are AI powered. So we have superpowers and we have agents right in the flow of work. This is all possible. And this is the future of work. And it's happening now and you have everything that you now need to be able to do that and to create that future. So creating an agentic enterprise is going to be is the topic of Dreamforce, as you know. And I want to say a couple of things about Dreamforce. It's about education, inspiration, connection and giving back. And I just want to call out on the education side, you have an opportunity to get hands on in the campground with the new capability that we just talked about. There's an agent force and Slack hackathon that's going, it's going on now. There's $100,000 prize. So go down there. I think it's being awarded at 5pm get your hands on the future of work in the lab and then of course, learn from everybody, get to know people. It's the best part. It becomes a reunion when you're here at Dreamforce and most importantly, the opportunity to give back. We are incredibly proud that the ALS Together community, which is a community of patients and caregivers and the extended community community to help find a cure for als, which was founded by Brooke Eby, an employee at Salesforce who is fighting a valiant fight with als. We'd love for you to check out that community and if you're so inclined to donate and give back and spread the word on that. And with that, that is a wrap to the Slack keynote. Have a wonderful dream for us and go reimagine the future of work. Sam.
