When you have your own business, there's no security.
We are on track to have one of our biggest years this year and just right before wedding season started is when Covid hit.
It's the missed rent, it's the building back up the inventory. We're in a hard spot like every other small business right now. We're able to use the tools that Salesforce provides to us to be incredibly nimble to react to situations like this. Salesforce gave my employees the capability to work everywhere. It had automatically our files and our customers information already in the cloud so they could work remotely anywhere. I really needed all the tools to monitor the data in real time, so I had a full view of my business and I could watch the numbers in real time. And I got really. I couldn't have done it without Salesforce.
When our customer appointments shifted from in store to virtual, it was as simple as adding a new category. There was no development work. We didn't lose any insight into our data. That's the beauty of using something like Salesforce. You don't have to have the economies of scale anymore. The technology gives you the economies of scale. I definitely appreciated the tips regarding social media because I didn't even have an account. The challenge now is just to get a presence. We're so proud to give you a $10,000 donation. Are you kidding me? They want to match this donation to the Chicago. I'm not often speechless. How did you, like, build that resilience? Resilience is like a muscle. And the more you just got through something, the stronger your resilience muscle will. When you decide I'm not quitting, there isn't a plan B. We're going to make it through that. That shift, it changes the momentum of things.
That's what this time period is all about. Finding a way to be agile and finding a way to be resilient. You are one of the recipients for $10,000. Oh, my goodness. Thank you. Oh, my God. Thank you. Wow. Thank you so much. What the grant allowed us to do was stay alive, keep going.
We can pay our staff to have that grant come through. It just blew us away. I'm so excited to tell my teammates.
I'm just grateful for people like you in the world.
Having people believe in you is the fuel that keeps you going. So thank you so much.
