As much as I've dedicated my life to service, it's given me back 10 times more.
My name is Josh Mendez.
I am the program manager for Salesforce Military.
Salesforce Military offers free training on Salesforce products. Being confident and competent with technology can help you start and flourish in a career.
If I were to sum up, uh, what you get out of Salesforce Military in one word, It's resilience. You are building a workforce that is built for the future.
I find myself predominantly responsible for sales and relationships. I still approach that with the same philosophy that the Navy taught me, which is we're all trying to get something done. Let's put it all out on the table and figure out what is the solution that works the best for everyone involved. I felt strongly that if I could get involved in this program and make it easier for other people, it's a no-brainer.
When a service member transitions, there's a lot of anxiety for the whole family. Taking that learning learning curve and all of the pain and uncertainty that I'd gone through and feeding it to those spouses and service members, whoever I could, that was the real win for me because it's like, you can do this.
Being a mentor to another veteran who's going through the military fellowship here really fulfills me because I remember my time transitioning and I look to the other veterans both here at Salesforce and through the Salesforce Military Program for guidance and support. And so to be that to another veteran and to support them through that process is incredibly fulfilling.
All of my technical knowledge was achieved via Salesforce Military and Trailhead. My husband was the sole provider for so many years, and after 24 years of military service, we're calling this chapter his season of healing. The ability to provide, to give him that opportunity to, like, find who he is, That means a lot to me, to give him this time back.
If I had to sum up the Salesforce Military program in one word, it would be connection. Connecting those pieces, what you've learned from the training, the Trailhead, taking and passing and failing the certs, and how you apply it. That connection has been the differentiator.
As a program, we're here to support you every step of the way from your first certification to your 20th.
And that's the neat thing about Salesforce Military. It's not only for Salesforce, but it's for our ecosystem. Stop.
