There are two types of lists. In the top right click Create List and you'll be able to choose between these two types. Now, the first is an active list. An active list automatically updates over time. So let's say you have a list of folks who live in Austin, Texas. If that's an active list, if that property changes, let's say a contact moves out of Austin, they will no longer be part of your list. It is automatically updating. A static list, on the other hand, is just representing that moment of time, so it's not going to update as properties change. Now, with your HubSpot free account, you can create up to 10 active lists and up to 1,000 static lists.
