TAKEDA is a 240 years old pharmaceutical company. Our mission is to basically develop life transforming medicine for all our patients. We started out making the best therapies based on Chinese medicine and now we're one of the top 10 global biopharmaceutical companies.
All of a sudden we're now thinking about this in a very different way and how we can actually support patients through the use of both medicines like we've always done, but also through the use of digital.
That tiny word, digital implies a lot of different new skill sets and capabilities.
The Salesforce platform is basically creating that connection for us. It's allowing us to really connect the data into the relationship between ourselves and our patients.
As a part of this journey, we also decided to build the Innovation Capability center here in Bratislava. This is a place where we use information technologies to improve the way we operate and to bring value for our patients.
We're really excited to be able to stand up this delivery centre and actually start delivering technology, data and digital products to patients. Healthcare professionals specifically out of the center.
Salesforce is helping our Innovation Capability center to build applications that are going to make our customer experience much better.
One of the things that we're really building around is the health cloud and understanding how health cloud can connect into our ecosystem. A lot of the tools that we're developing in the Salesforce platform is really to help them along this journey that they're on.
That's the reason you're putting the technology in place. Not just for the technology, it's for what we can do with it. What can it make simpler? What can it make more efficient? What can it make more joyful?
The Innovation Capability center is dedicated to technical and digital talent. What we're trying to do is actually really invest in upskilling the people at the icc.
People are everything. Without the right people with the right talents, we have nothing. It's going to be just an empty office with a lot of broken promises.
After one year, there are definitely a couple of projects where we see the results which we as ICC have brought to Takeda's patients.
There's going to be an expansion into the type of technologies and skills that we actually want to invest here in Bratislava as well as geographic locations. So we actually plan on extending the ICC to Mexico City and also in South Asia. Salesforce has been known for being a very innovative company many years in a row. We need this kind of spirit in order to help us to transform our business.
My vision and my hope is that we can have some clear, real world evidence that engaging with our patient services has better clinical outcomes.
Every new technology, every new project which we are starting, we. We are always thinking of how this will benefit to our patients.
We're in a new location dedicated to thinking and dreaming about digital products. And we've brought together product teams and partnership teams from all around the world to push each other to think bigger and to hopefully create something really wonderful.
Ultimately, we're focusing more on the patient rather than the technology. Right. And that's where we should be.
