Here. Today we're at the grand opening of Salesforce Tower.
It is a gorgeous day and it is exciting to have everybody here who's been so responsible for making all of these amazing things happen.
I think this is the highest quality workspace in the whole country.
And this really now is the true heart of San Francisco. We are San Francisco born and bred. When we talk to our employees, they're saying, we want to be in San Francisco. And how do you have an amazing urban campus?
Until we did the deal with Salesforce, there hadn't been any 700,000 plus square foot leases ever done in San Francisco. But when Salesforce committed to the property and made it their home, it gave us a lot more confidence to go full speed with the project. We couldn't be more proud and pleased with the characteristics of this building.
The most sustainable building in San Francisco and one of the most sustainable buildings in the world. We're talking about an incredibly efficient building from an energy and water perspective. Then you add in how Salesforce has fit out our space with an emphasis on views of the outdoors, daylight, healthy materials.
It's also connected to the new transit center and the new park. You know your home, you know you're in a Salesforce house, and that's really our goal, to be a physical expression of our culture. There's also a responsibility that comes with.
This, and I hope you see this tower as a beacon, a symbol of hope that every member of our community is accorded the dignity, the quality and the opportunity that every person deserves.
We are honored to have Salesforce as a major customer of Austin properties.
When employees show up to work here at Salesforce Tower, they know that they can do the best work of their lives in a healthy, inspiring environment.
This is amazing. But there's even more to come.
Thank you all for coming. It's been a great, great pleasure to open this tower with you today. Thank you.
