Salesforce built a smart city demo with three working examples: a seismic monitor that stops trains during avalanches, a parking system that catches illegally parked cars in Cary, and an AI chatbot that identifies vehicles from photos and sells them.
So welcome to the IoT Smart City, powered by my IoT. Some of these use cases, we're trying to leverage some new technology that Salesforce is releasing, like Einstein Vision, as well as Einstein Bots. This is the Lego Metropolis Express. And right now we have a connected mountain here with an avalanche inside. And there's a seismic monitor that is sending streaming events into Salesforce IoT. So whenever an avalanche occurs, we listen to it in Iot and we tell the train immediately stop in its tracks.
We're very excited about the town of Cary because the CIO came to us and said she had a specific parking problem where handicapped spots were filled, and she wasn't really sure that there were handicapped qualified people in the parking spots. And with IoT explorer, what we did was we were able to tell when both handicapped spots were occupied, and we sent a notification to the parking police to go check to make sure those placards were handicapped placards in those spots.
Let's see. Let's take an example. I am a citizen, and I see a new starship. I would like to buy this vessel. And thanks to Salesforce Einstein, I take a picture to a chatbot. This chatbot recommend me and take me, oh, this is an X wing, or this is a U wing. I can buy it and I can have all the different characteristics of this ship. And I think this is what we would like to achieve here, provide the customer experience of the future. Just explaining, in this big, connected metropolis, Sam.
