I did not study computer science at all.
I spent my 20s traveling and doing theater.
Was always tinkering with the computers and I thought they were cool.
I was a VFS producer first.
I studied a lot of biology, anthropology.
Political science, pre law major.
I just knew that I didn't want to be a teller.
I had no clue.
Like technology, there's pathways in for all of us.
I was trying to build a career, but I didn't have the resources or the building blocks for it.
I thought, wait a minute, what was it that you really liked to do?
When I discovered Trailhead, that's where things clicked.
See, trailhead kind of like breaks it out to you. You have these bite sized pieces and modules and projects and there's all this stuff that you can do.
There's so much innovation happening right now and there's always social integrations, working with AI, working with big data.
Thankfully there is Trailhead and you can use it and you can learn about everything that Salesforce is doing.
You can just go on. Anyone can do.
I just went in, I started clicking, I started developing apps.
It's entirely point and click. It's that simple.
I actually just recently built a Salesforce app on the Lightning experience.
With Lightning, you've got everything that's essentially mobile first out of the box and that's revolutionary.
This sort of mystifying tech thing is actually really accessible.
It transcends age, it transcends gender.
Trailhead made me feel empowered and overwhelmed, so it gave me support.
You don't have to know how to code to be able to build really smart and predictive apps.
It's incredible. There's kind of an army of us now.
Magic is the community.
That's what just brings everything together.
It helps you kind of connect with other people who believe in doing good, believe in helping others, and who believe in helping customers on their one to one journey.
It's an awesome product that lets you do awesome things and you're surrounded by awesome people.
So that's motivation, right?
It'll really make a difference for the people that are coming behind you and your customers as well.
When I build something and it works, it is one of the best feelings.
They saw it and went, oh, it's so much easier. You just saved me two hours Today.
We want to help people connect to their customers in a whole new way.
This is an awesome time to be a developer.
There's so much work for everyone.
Every day I get either an email or a call.
I've been approached by people on LinkedIn.
There was a little bit of a bidding war last time around, and that was an amazing feeling.
What we are delivering is really just success.
I get up and I know that I'm making a difference every day, and that drives the movement.
Oh, I want to be a developer. Yeah, I want to be a developer.
To be able to make a great living doing something fun, being part of a great community is incredible.
That's amazing stuff. Who wouldn't show up with a smile on their face to a job like that?
I never thought I would be where.
I am right now.
Don't limit yourself, because with Salesforce, you can really take it wherever you want to go.
It's something that really gets me passionate. It feels right.
We get to blaze new trails.
I love what I do. Yeah, I love what I do.
