All right. Okay. How's everyone doing today? Good. Was that a good way to start the lunch? Yeah. Those guys are great, aren't they? Great. So much fun to be friends with them and to have them part of our team at Salesforce is really exciting. Beyond our wildest dreams to have Metallica open for me. Really great. Anyway, it's going to be an awesome week here in San Francisco. We're all excited about the super bowl on Sunday, and Metallica is doing the night before the super bowl concert for all of us. And everyone here is going to get tickets for Saturday, so I hope you'll join us. And we also bought 5,000 additional. Additional tickets and gave them to San Francisco Unified School District so all of the teachers and all the K through 12 schools could come with us and see Metallica, as well as everyone for the University of California, San Francisco. So I hope that all of you will be able to come and enjoy who do God's work for us every day. So thank you for everything that you're doing. Today is an exciting day for us. It's the beginning of our fiscal year. It's fiscal year 17 for us at Salesforce. And we are really excited about the lunch today because of all of you. And I'm sure you know we have about a million people joining us online as well, so I'd like to welcome everyone around the world. And what we're going to do now over the next probably about hour or so is we want to walk you through a couple of exciting new product announcements and kind of articulate some exciting vision from Salesforce that's kind of. Kind of our own halftime show in between our two Dreamforces. I guess Dreamforce is our own Super Bowl. So here we are, it's now February 1st, and we've got an exciting, exciting six months ahead for Salesforce. And we want to tell you and show you everything that's going on with that today. So let's take a look at that. Let's take a look at our fiscal year 17 kickoff. Let's take a first look at our corporate and product strategy and quite a bit of incredible new innovation that's happening before us. One thing I want to do before I do all of that is to thank you. To thank each and every one of you, to give you as much gratitude from our hearts as we can, to tell you how much we appreciate all that you do for us every single day. We know that you have a choice when it comes to enterprise software and that when you make that choice, be in Salesforce. Whether you're a Salesforce customer, whether you're a Salesforce partner, whether you're a Salesforce employee, we're excited that you're part of our team, part of our band, if you will, and we enjoy going on and being with you every single day. So thank you for everything that you do for us every day. And who would have thought that this year, fiscal year 17, marks the year that Salesforce becomes the fourth largest enterprise software company in the world. It's been an incredible 17 years with Salesforce. When Parker and I started the company March 8th of 1999, we could probably never have imagined that here we were looking out at San Francisco, looking out at this incredible week, looking at the construction of our new Salesforce tower, you know, next to our Salesforce west headquarters and our Salesforce east headquarters, and saying, wow, 20,000 employees, $8.5 billion. We could never have imagined. But I guess all we had to do is look at all of you, really look at the kind of faith that you've had in us, the commitment that you've had in us, and all that you have done for us has really made all of this possible. So thank you. Thank you to all of you for doing that. You know, Salesforce has been widely recognized and kind of highly innovative company, One of the most innovative companies in the world, one of the most admired software companies in the world. But I can tell you one of the really exciting things about Salesforce is that we're really true to the very, very core essence of why we started our company, what we wanted to do when we started our company. And that was really based on three core ideas. And the first one was a radical new technology model. This idea that we would build the world's first multi tenant cloud for enterprise software. A shared infrastructure for our customers to help them go faster than ever before. That was amazing. And to give them this scalable metadata platform that would redefine how they would build and create and customize enterprise applications. Well, now it's become the world's most trusted enterprise cloud. Well, we are exactly where we wanted to be trust. We wanted to be that solution that our customers can trust to deliver the cloud for them. And I'm sure that at the core of our success is this very core technology and what we're going to extend for all of you today. Two, we also created a new business model, a whole idea that our customers would be able to subscribe to our services and they would be able to pay as they go and be able to go faster. Than ever before. Because we as their vendor were aligned with them, aligned with them so that their success was our success. And we'd create a customer success group. We'd create a broad ecosystem, developers and resellers all over the world that would work together with us. And we've seen our customers exceed our expectations when it's come to their own revenue growth. And nothing makes us more gratified to know that our customers are successful with our products. And finally, number three, that when we started our company 17 years ago, we put 1% of our equity, 1% of our product, 1% of our employees. Time. It was very easy at the time because we had no product, we had no employees, we had nothing. But we had that idea that if we did take 1% and committed at that time, well, maybe at some point in the future be worth something. And here it is. More than 1 million hours now given back to the community. More than $100 million in grants. That's incredible. More than 25,000 nonprofits and NGOs running on our platform for no charge. We've given away over $250 million in in kind services. And now more than 500 companies have committed to following our model. That is what is so exciting. And the Journal of Philanthropy recently talked about how billions of dollars are now being committed out of this very model. That is incredible. So thank you to everyone who has committed to the 111 model, to and being on our team to making sure that business is an incredible platform for change. Well, in addition to really that new technology model, to that business model, to that philanthropic model, as we write our V2 mom every year, which is something that we just did, which is our core technology plan and our core business plan for the year, Our vision and values, our methods, obstacles and measures is our core values at Salesforce. And our core values at Salesforce also really have never changed. A company built on a foundation of trust. The idea that nothing is more important than the trusted success of every single one of our customers, every single one of our partners, every single one of our employees. That that core of trust is the future of Salesforce. And we're deeply committed to that as our primary value. And then we linked that of course, is that we knew we had to grow. We had to show that this could be a successful model and that our customers had to be successful. And that growth continues to be a core driver of our company. And it's one of the reasons why we've become one of the very fastest software companies in the world in terms of growth. And third, innovation as you're going to see today, incredible new technologies and the things that we see today, whether it's wearables or next generation mobile devices, we could never have imagined. We could have never imagined that kind of capability 17 years ago. But because we're committed to innovation, we continue to change and evolve and move forward and be able to deliver capabilities for wherever our industry is going. And we couple that with a core belief about our company, which is that our company is committed to equality. Our company is committed to making sure that the business of business is to improve the state of the world and that we'll take that fight wherever we have to go, whether it is to Indiana or whether it is to Washington D.C. or wherever we go in the world. We remind people that much like many great organizations, we are committed to the fight for equality and it's a core part of our value system at Salesforce. Well, it's been a very exciting 17 years. We have done some amazing things, but really we are just opening the door to the future. And I'll tell you, that's why we're going to have our event today, so we can show you our plans going forward and what we're excited about. The market has changed. The market has shifted. Salesforce continues to shift and evolve and move forward.
