A recorded group coaching session (AIUS Session 5) led by Barkus Luckey for a 12-week Quality Mind Boot Camp. Participants (Ken, Rohini, Mimi, Mitch Palmer, Kalpesh) share weekly wins, habit-report progress, and practical experiences with meditation, journaling, exercise and mindset work. The coach presents four "universal laws" (Control, Change, Connection, Attraction), guides brief discussion, issues action items (daily meditations, thought-shops, bubble pops) and closes with peer recognitions.

Another trainer, not us with another trainer. And then it gets assigned to a needs person. Wow. So. But in one month he went from, you know, basically neutering to going to prison. So he's about to have a really hard time.
So I'm just, just noting here that Rohini and Bug yesterday have come into a conversation about dogs having their bits cut off and being sent to prison. That must be fun for you all. And how are you? How are both of our ladies today?
All?
Well, I'm just a bit little under the weather.
Let's talk.
Were you on the scotch last night? Is that what happened? Maybe you're a few. Mitch and I more than once made ourselves healthy with scotch or associated beverages. I believe.
Once. Once upon a time. Too old for that now.
Once upon a time indeed. Very good. Once again, excellent to see you all here today. Bit of advanced warning. I must finish right on time because I want to go and sit in a reasonably uncomfortable chair while someone drills into my head for an hour. I'm looking forward to that. That's exciting for me. So, yeah. And I just need to get there and get a lift.
Don't take this wrong, Mark, but better than better. You than me, man.
Oh, yeah. I can't say I'm overly thrilled, let's be entirely honest. But you know, we must do these things even when we don't feel like doing. But, team, welcome on board for session 5 of 12 of your 12 week quality mind Boot Camp. We are now formally into the second trimester as we give birth to new you version two. Now, I just made that up on the spot. Then the whole trimester leading into the birth of the new you. I'm celebrating my creativity there, but basically we are into the middle third. Now, the middle third is typically one of the more challenging aspects of any change process, such as this. Now, the advertising brochures never put this bit up front, but I'm pretty sure I've discussed it with you all one on one somewhere along the way that we sort of have the first bit, which is easy and all exciting as we get used to it and blow out those cobwebs. The bit in the middle is the hard grind. And often the reason is because you're elevating your performance week in, week out. Five minutes here and meditation there, A bit more walking, a bit more journaling or whatever it is you're doing. But the results won't seem to flow as much over the next few weeks. And in particular the next two or three weeks are the ones in week Three and four, rather is where it tends to get the most challenging because we get a bit fatigued with the whole process at this stage. Mitch is doing the raising chair thing. Ken did it the other day. It's so cool. It's very stunning. Star Trek, it looks kind of. But this middle section, it's really important now to build up some momentum over the next couple of weeks so that when you start to feel that resistance in a few weeks time, you're ready for it. Now all it is is literally the last parts of your old habit and old self hanging on for dear life and trying to pull us back because we're not getting results for the work we're putting in. And it's becoming more and more recognized that it literally is toughest two weeks, weeks seven and eight as well as it does seem to be almost like the old self holding us back. So we lift our effort through that period. The results really do flow on. And the third trimester is when you'll start to really feel it all coming together for you. So, yeah, there we go. But exciting. It's really cool to be here into the second third of it all with you. Can I check? Have you all got your phones ready for our short period of digital distraction? If I could get you to bring up meditate. So we want meditations and relaxation. Really like seeing you all getting into these as well. The guided meditations. And it's guided meditation number 11. We're going for this one because it's a bit of intention setting.
Just quickly I, I clicked on the wrong meditation when I was walking to work this morning and it was Rich Maloney's sales lead generation and it was all about getting out there and you're going to get this and you're a machine.
You're going to close those sales.
And I'm like, I'm walking to work and I was feeling quite stressed because I'm like, do I have to make sales calls?
I'm not really sure.
It was the opposite of where I was hoping to get in my walking zone with the meditation on pumping up to make sales calls.
I'm going to tell Rich daddy that we've got, we've got a coaching call tonight. So I'll let him know because. Because Rich loves them. And you know, he, he. Oh, you know, he. There's a bit because it's him, you know, this is his. You know, this is his passion, but he also just loves his own voice in these things. And for me, there's some days I'd be Going through training. Then I'd like co host a group with him, then we'd talk about business, then I'd be on something else like. And he would just be in my head all day long. All right, so if you can all get that meditation ready. Three, two, one. And see you in five minutes. It's. You back with us there, Mr. Palmer.
Oh, yeah, sorry.
His name is Disruptor Group. I think you need to.
Oh, that's my.
Sorry. Every. Everyone today, Mitch is identifying as Disruptor Group. Respect his wishes and call him Disruptor.
Wouldn't be the first time. Takes me back to school anyway. Sorry.
And it's something. Smell. I'm not quite sure. Alrighty everyone. Let us get this party started. I've always wanted to say something like that, but it's really quite cheesy when you put it together. So today, today is actually quite cool because we only really cover one area of content because we've actually already built into the course the bit about the vision statements and painting the canvas. But we'll cover that one anyway. The really cool part we get to go through is the universal laws and we're going to do it slightly differently than normal curriculum. And that is we'll cover off each one one by one and have a quick. And I'll explain why when we get there. So how did you all go with your Q maps this week? And in particular I'd like to hear about your big old wins. So who'd like to go first with sharing their big win out of involvement in the program so far?
I'll jump in. Go on. Yeah, I didn't quite get as many bubbles bubble popped. I popped one bubble, which is around some anxiety. I didn't actually feel like I needed to. I don't know, maybe a bit redundant. I didn't feel like I needed to pop any bubbles. I felt this was a really busy week. I got lots of. I was really on track with my. With my body balance and my fitness stuff and that was. That was doing really well. And then my journaling and my. My thoughts as well. It didn't kind of get to a bubble pop. There was. I think it was Thursday where I was a bit anxious over some stuff that I tried to use the bubble pop. But I think in terms of a revelation this week, it felt like I went for a run on Saturday, on Saturday morning and I actually felt, I think for the first time, apart from the pain, I'm gonna go for the run. But it was interesting. I think I was mentioning last week, I'm trying to say these positive affirmations out loud and these intentions. And I found actually when I was running, even though there was sort of the pain, the pain of the running, there was something bigger there, you know, and it was something that I was able to hold on to during the exercise where I think when I first started, I was very much about, I've got it. And I was saying to Mark, I've got to break through the pain and I've got to take on the discomfort. And I was able to reframe that in my mind into, you know. Yes, it's. It's hurting now. It was very much hurting, but it was. It was like I could. I could start to feel that vision of where it was taking me. And that's the first time that's ever, ever really happened to me. And then, you know, as I was coming home, I was sort of having a similar revelation, doing some box breathing when I was walking home. And I still can't do the box breathing. It doesn't work for me, but I am trying.
But.
But I could start to feel that all these little things were starting to make sense a little bit that I felt that, you know, and I think I might have done this previously. Everything that I've sort of learned, you kind of know all these little things, but they're all. You're doing them individually where this was the first time that I actually felt they were a little bit connected in some way. And that was really quite a monumental change in my mind to kind of go, oh, that was really quite cool. Like, oh, I kind of get that. I can see where these are all helping me. So that was my breakfast. I still feel a long way from it, but just even having a little taste of that moment was. Was amazing, was really positive and was quite addictive, you know, And I think felt like that was a bit of a turning point for me to. To crave more of that. Getting everything together and mapping it all out. Yeah, if you feel like it's coming together, it's probably a better way. I'm saying that that was beautiful.
And I'm going to give you floating yellow things to celebrate. Really nice. Nice work, Mitch. And I think having those moments and actually being able to identify when they're happening is an entirely different level, which is really cool. And I think that's a real sense of awareness and kind of maybe some of the noise dropping away a little bit and by. With the work you're doing. So that's outstanding, you know, keep doing it and keep Pushing it and keep reporting back. That's brilliant.
Yeah. I think the noise thing, what you mentioned then, it, it does feel like there's a reduction in the, the child mind, you know, and, and you know, getting some clarity, you know, taking those little moments one moment at a time, not being overwhelmed, this, just focus on this and that. Taking, just being able to take those little micro steps which helps block out that child mind.
Yeah, brilliant work. Very good. Oh, excellent. Thank you loads. Thank you loads. Ken, you're next up on my list. What have you got for us? What do you big got a big win for me.
Yeah, I think this week, you know, since, you know, part of my goals is, you know, kind of, you know, some of mine are more family oriented. You know, I, I was sitting down and kind of explaining to, you know, to my wife and the, the girls about the, the child mind, the mastermind element here. And you know, they were actually very interested kind of, you know, in, in that concept. And I asked them that, you know, for one favor and that was if I get into that moment where I'm argumentative or I look stressed or I'm, you know, I'm definitely showing signs, normal person that I am getting them to agree to basically stop me and ask me which mind am I in right now? And they all agreed to do that. So I think that would be really helpful for me so that I can basically get that break, you know, in my pattern, my thinking pattern, and then re evaluate where I'm at in that moment so I'm not overcome by the anxiety or overcome by the those moments and just say where, where's your brain? What are you thinking? Or you know, are you in the right kind of element? Are you looking at this the right way? And I think just asking, hey, which mind are you using right now? I think is going to help me a lot when I'm facing those moments and be like, you know, you're right, I'm being a petulant jerk, you know, versus, you know, coming at it from a. Just a better mindset, the inquisitive, curio, curious mindset.
Yeah.
Three things that come to mind there, Ken, and what was a. I think a really concise share and one was sort of having the courage to open up mid program to people around you and sort of saying here's what's going on. Really interestingly, that bringing on board an accountability partner or accountability partners though, really enhances it. And the science around this is fascinating in that it says when you tell people around you what your goals Are or what you're doing or working through or trying to achieve. Their natural inclination, especially in our, you know, close concentric circles of family and loved ones, is they want to help. And, you know, you could say I'm growing this new business and people will start thinking about you because you've triggered their reticular activation system for your name and this thing and in your case, you know, your name, your presence and your conversation and how is dad and husband thinking at the moment? Right. And they'll love you for the fact that you've opened up to them, which is just. Yeah, just fantastic on so many levels. Great work, Ken. Really great work. Over to you. There's a big, big expectation to follow up from those two. What have you got for us for a big win so far, Rahim? And I'm going to tell you to go off mute first so I don't have to give you the 2020 call. There we go.
So basically, Mark, I think the meditations, right, that I was going through, like I think I've previously also mentioned, I used to not enjoy it much because of the thoughts that were distracting me, you know, in midst of it. But now I'm loving those meditations. I, I think I told you also in the last one on one that, you know, now I think I, I have control over my thoughts, you know, and the concentration level on while I'm listening to those meditations has also increased, which I think is a significant growth in my personal thing.
Fantastic. That's really good, Rohini. Well done. Because I, you're right. I know you were battling with it, but you've persisted and now starting to get that first part. So keep up that effort and that momentum is really important and you'll continue really feeling the growth. So well done. That's fantastic. Well done.
Thank you.
I noticed that bug history is hiding, but Calpet's nest on my list anyway. So Calpak, over to you.
Yep. So I think hearing everyone's experiences is pretty positive from my point of view. I would say that I went to the gym for the first time on a Sunday. That's what I told Mark. Also that pause just to make sure that I try to achieve the goal which was set for the week, which I couldn't due to the professional commitments, couldn't do for one of the days. But try to make sure for that to go on a weekday, a weekend. Sorry. And secondly was to make sure that I am for most of the time in the mastermind, master side of the mind through the working hours. At least because that's what was bothering me the week before and it really helped me achieve the targets at least which were set for that particular week on a professional basis or on the work basis. So I think my agenda again for this week is to make sure that I, I keep the focus on my to do's as well as the weekly goals on a professional as well as personal level. So that's what I'm planning. Also I and Rohini met old dinner when we are in office. So we also had some bit good time chatting with each other for some other stuff also. But yeah, it was nice meeting her after a long time.
Fantastic. Very good, very good. Thank you very much for that. Calpag and bug is three. You there?
Yes, yes, I'm here.
Are you hiding from us? We're not seeing you today. Oh, have we lost, lost Mimi again? Buggies are.
Now.
She did just drop out before. So I'm going to assume that Mimi is maybe having some technical difficulties at the moment. So if you can hear us, we're going to continue on until we see you or hear you back on screen, Mimi, if that's okay. Yep.
All right.
So not quite sure what's going on there team. So we'll keep moving on. So we'll come back to the Q map and the purpose of it, but just to reinforce the more you keep interacting, the more little moments to reinforce your behaviors with the annoying little app for the next few weeks, the greater your progress will not only be tracked but you will progress. Okay. Mimi is trying again but what we might do is just keep moving on once she gets back into the group. Are you there, Mimi?
Yes, yes, I'm here. I don't know, there's some issue with.
The zoom or network.
Okay.
Keep getting locked out.
Okay. What we'll do for the moment is we'll keep going on then and if we can come back to you a moment. Alrighty.
Sure.
Where are we here? Find which screen I'm gonna. There we go, that screen there. So let's have a look at our habit reports for the week. Bit of excitement as always. So what I'm seeing here is as always, Ken dominating because that's what he does. He's clearly got an in crazy competitive streak going on there at the moment. But I'm going to come back to this. Going to come back to this shortly. So first of all, good to see some consistency. So what I'm now doing is I'm running it from. Running the numbers from Sunday to Monday just so we've got a nice consistency. So these were current as at yesterday morning just to make sure because there's time zones and all that sort of stuff. So good consistency there reflecting the overall patterns. Everyone's sort of catching up now. Mitch, yours is pretty much on par with everyone else's. What I'm really liking seeing though guys is just more you're all heading up the leaderboard which means I get more free wine at the end of the month from the other Quality Mind mentors. I'm only kidding, just kidding. No, but it's good because it demonstrates that you're all starting to get into it a little bit more which is cool. So the challenge there is to keep lifting and once again just noting Ken's scores there and we'll come back to that. And now let's have a little bit of a look at some before and afters. Now it's your first scorecard to your four week scorecard. You'll all know your individual results so far anyway. Results sounds like a test. It's not a test but what we have here is we have Mimi who started off unfortunately with really high numbers on the left hand side which are quite hard to grow but you will see some growth around in a language bit of growth there as well in the. I think in the awareness which is good but overall actually no consistent there. Dropping off a bit with self love and excitement but going from a 10 to a 9. We're early on so we'll let that one happen. But Mimi's doing some great work there. We have here calpac. Now this is really nice because this is a very nice rounding of growth that we are seeing here in the moment. Some really great consistent pushing out. I think that reflects in the sort of language that I'm seeing you use not only in the group but and some really good growth coming along there. Calpac which is fantastic Mr. Palmer. Also some nice growth across the board especially around the mind and the self love part. Starting to pick up drop off on sleep or is, you know, just for this week you think, Mitch?
Yeah, just. Just working late nights hasn't really helped but I'm still trying to get up early which is probably reducing the amount of sleep and kid And I think.
They say that one of the best things about sleep patterns is get up at the same time. Yeah. And there were a lot of the technique around it sort of says well if you can't get to sleep and you're staying up later, you know, trying to get to sleep the quickest way is just to keep getting up on time because eventually you're knackered. So keep at it. And if you want to discuss anything in the one on ones on sleep, of course we can do so. It's good stuff. Now here we have Rohini. So I'm seeing some very big booms here in the mind and soul space. In particular, some really, really good growth. And I can also hear that a lot reflecting in your language as you move through Rohini, which is fantastic. So, you know, I think as well it's more interaction with the app opening up more in the group. You know, I think it reflects. But now, no buts, all excellent. We have Ken, who did say his diet sucked a bit because he'd been eating chips while going on the long weekend walk and so on. But again, you look at the sor of reflection in the numbers around the mind and the soul area there, and a lot of that you can hear the comfort in him interacting with his family. The input that he is really putting in at the moment is reflecting in the growth across the scores. You know, Ken, nothing being breached here at all, but was what has worked through some really challenging times in, you know, in business, coming and going. Made the really tough calls recently to change circumstances again, but I think is now talking with even more confidence about the future and more of a relaxed state about the future and really being open arms to what's going on. So look, Ken, awesome. It reflects with the work that you're putting in. But everyone, I think we're seeing some fantastic growth here, which is really cool. Alrighty, so now what we're going to do is we are going to go along to the next section of the four universal laws. What we're going to do with these is we're going to go through them very briefly, then I'll invite you all just to give me some quick chats. We'll try and get everyone involved in giving a bit of feedback on these. And the reason that I want to talk about them is because when I hear things like universal laws, which theoretically is an unquestionable law, like gravity, like water is generally wet, you know, air should be breathable, these sorts of things are universal laws. But this for me has been quite a good test around language because sometimes the way these things are written can just be a little bit hard to grasp. So what we're going to do is I'm going to run through each one quickly and then we're going to try and have a quick chat and see if we can brainstorm something like A shared agreement on what these universal laws are really about for us, because that's what it matters, is how we feel about them. So the first universal law is the Law of Control. Quality Mind has a great saying. You may not be able to control your first thought, but you can most definitely control your second thought. And what we try and move into in this whole idea of the Law of Control is taking full ownership of our thoughts and our feelings and being in that masterful state whilst we can't control everything and be responsible for everything as a mindset, it opens us to that kaizen and that continuous improvement that we can take more control, particularly of ourselves. And in this context, we are the only one who can control our thoughts using Rohini's words before getting control of them. No one else decides when we get angry, when we get sad, or when we get happy. They're our thoughts and our decisions. The Stoics will say things like, you know, you have power over your mind and not outside events. So when we focus on what we can control, which is our thoughts and our actions, and accepting what we can't control, which is external events, we really focus our energies, our intention and our attention in places we can make a difference in our lives. Robin Sharma talks about taking control of the internal empires, and in doing so, we can really focus on our own strengths. How's that sitting with everyone? We'll have a whole minute on each one. How's that one going for everybody?
I mean, that's because it's interesting into the. The idea that, I guess those of us that subscribe to the Control Freak channel. Yeah, that one. I mean, that's a tough one to kind of break, because you do want to be able to control all the outcomes because you think it's your happiness. But I think that's probably. That's where I would be challenged to say it's not that control that grants the happiness. It's my thoughts.
Yeah.
Of how I'm. How I feel. That's the happiness, not whether I had control or not.
And the. The response to that is, you're right. But it's the shift of the emphasis onto what we can control, which is our thoughts and actions, and the idea being the detachment from the outcome. Because the focused thoughts and actions and intentions probably take us to the outcomes we want, but they certainly don't do any harm in that. For example, if we've got to dig a hole, well, we don't think about the hole being dug. We just focus on getting the shovel into the dirt. Type thing. And you know, it's the same you with what you're doing at the moment in your one on one goals. Yeah, I agree. All right, we'll keep moving along. If we get time to come back with Shell or if anyone has something they want to comment on, give me a digital thumb up and then I'll know that you want to chat on this one. So the next one is the law of change and the idea around this and Ken, the control of the change is around our thoughts and action. So if our thoughts don't serve us, we can change them. We can change our thinking, we can change our circumstances. And so what this law too, this law of change is acting upon the knowledge we get from the law of control. Well, if we can change our thoughts, what do we do now? Change is hard, it takes effort and we need to do the hard things. The more we put in, the more we get out. And part of what we can do with this in terms of changing our thoughts is what you guys are doing now. By establishing a vision, you've got something positive to focus on. The affirmations, the goals, the power. Thoughts are the active filters we start building into our mind in order to begin producing a higher quality fuel for our thoughts. So the law of change basically says, leveraging law of control, we can start doing things and changing the outcomes in our life. Anyone got a busting urge to give any feedback or commentary on that one? We're all happy with that. Good. All right, I'm going to keep on going. I'm going to. You got to give me a thumb up if you want to chat. Now the next one, we're talking about the law of connection. Going back to the other ones before, the Stoics spoke about Zone one, which is ends about here. And this is. The things we can control in life are about this far away. Beyond that, they become randomly out of control very fast. So you have zone one and Zone two, what we can control. What we can't control out here is bad weather, US unemployment figures, watching the share market in Australia tank and all those shares I bought last week lose 5%. The economy, we can't change. Yeah. So by focusing on them, we just create a lot of noise. And those things therefore don't have to affect our inner empire. And the law of connection is between what happens inside and what happens outside. It can also be a bit of a law of disconnection. Do I need to know Donald Trump is saying this? Do I need to know the outrageous commentary going on around some athletes The Olympic Games. Do I need to know about this, this, this, this and this, or do I focus on things in my outer world which in turn support and nurture and grow my inner world and it then becomes also part of. Well, rather than looking at what's happening outside. We heard Rich in the meditation talk about that victim mentality. It's this choice of connecting to a world that life is serving us or the other side where life is happening to us. This side is victim mentality. Over here is by taking control, by seeing that connection between what's internal and external, by focusing on our vision, by fueling them with those powerful thoughts, we begin to orient ourselves more directly towards the things we want in our life. You want more calm, you do breathing. You want greater fitness and focus and clarity. You know, you take on the path that Mitch is doing, which is the box breathing. He doesn't like sitting in the car talking to himself and running until his legs hurt. I mean, Mitch is clearly going crazy at the moment, putting himself through this stuff. But sorry, obviously Mitch and I are good mates, so I could not say that about anyone else. But you know, it's one of these things that by focusing on our world and determining what we want in the outer world is how we can get the most out of it. Good to keep going team. I was really expecting pushback here. I know Mitch has got one.
No, no, I'm good.
No, you're just barking at me. Cal Pack, was that a hand up?
Yeah.
Yeah. And I feel for the law of connection out over here, at least from my point of view. For me it's the social media which hampers it a lot. When, when we are saying that it destroy like it keeps on it, it keeps on making you think about things which are not in your control or which are not related to you, but you keep on thinking about it and try to keep connected to it unnecessarily. That's what I feel is happening in case of law of connection.
I think you raise a really good point there because you're right. I went and saw Ryan Holiday, the guy who wrote the Daily Stoic and probably the most recognized modern day stoic writer. And he spoke about the horror stories of kids using this technology and how we really focus on keeping our kids away. And they go to bed and then a lot of adults just plug that social media in, mainline it for a couple of hours before they go to bed. And the damage is incredible. The, the hit on the attention span, the cortisol rising by using a screen. This Close all the time. The blue light affecting sleep, the over stimulation and decrease of attention span as a result of that constant dopamine trigger effect that comes. And I reckon it does take time to move away from, but the benefits are awesome. I recently found out this year about the British election a week after it happened. It was awesome. You know, just by being disconnected and you think, what did I miss? Oh, all of these things happening in the world which don't really interest me, you know, that sort of stuff. So it's fascinating, but yeah, really good share there. Really good share indeed. Ah, Mimi's back. She's muted, but.
No, I'm.
I'm there. I'm.
I was listening to the whole.
Oh, good, good.
You're there, you're there. Excellent, excellent. Alrighty now, just checking. Can you guys see the screen again there?
Yeah.
Excellent. Because mine, mine's gone all totally random at the moment, so I'm not quite sure what's going on. In a sec. Let's just. Now, you hate it when tech does this to you.
I think you're going to talk to law of attraction number four.
Yes. Oh, thank you, Mitchell. There we go. Try that one. It's. Can you see it now?
Yeah, we see the fourth one.
It's. It's not quite. Anyway, I'm having one of those crappy things, I'm talking to my tech. There we go. So we move on to the law of attraction. Now I can use a stack of Tony Robbins quotes such as, our mind grows, where our attention goes and where our focus is. What we are thinking about does begin to affect our reality. And this one, you've heard of me talk about this a few times because it's one of the coolest little things about neuroscience that we can manipulate, and that is the reticular activation system, which is a filtering device. Because outside of us at all times is all that crazy amount of noise going on. And the reticular activation system is when we get our brain to focus on what we tell it to focus on. The simplest example, I think it's the Binhof Maida syndrome. You think about buying a white car and there are white cars everywhere. You think about, you know, a certain fashion sense and suddenly that fashion sense is everywhere. And it's simply our brain paying more attention to what's going on in the world. So what we can do is we can use that same process of saying to our brain, look for white cars to think about things like, we live an abundant life, to have gratitude for what we're seeing outside. In our world, what do I have to be grateful for? Gratitude is one of the most powerful things for happiness. If we focus on things such as how hard life is, how much we're complaining about things in the negatives, that's what we see more of. If someone says to you, find what's wrong with this. You'll find things that are wrong with it. If someone in sense says, wow, isn't that an amazing view? You will stand and look at the view and think how beautiful it is. And this going right back to that law of control at the start, the very first law where if we can control our thoughts, our perceptions and what we look for, by setting those filters in place, we bring more of what we want into our own world. It's kind of as simple as the neuroscience in all of that. So I'm very aware, as I say all of that. It all sounds a little bit hippie, but overall, how does that all hang together for you guys?
Yep, sounds good.
Mitch has given it a thumbs up. Buggy three, because you missed out on commenting before. What have, what have you got to say about those ones?
I think law of connection, like, you know, which I mean, like, you know, say the more you are aware about what is going around you and the law of control. I, I think it's very.
I.
It's a little bit what I'll say. Like, and it's been, I mean, I don't know what, like, you know, but what could be controlled because, you know, you can't control what goes on in everyday life.
So.
Yes, but the, like, you know, then you are connected to law of awareness. Sorry, Law of attraction. Like, you know, what do you think the energy goes by the mind. Sorry, the mind goes where the energy flows. So that is like, you know. Yes. I mean, it's making sense to me.
And again, thank you, Mimi. But again with the control part. The control is we can't control what happens in life.
Right.
We can control our reaction.
Yeah.
Is that person an idiot or I wonder why they're behaving like that. That car crash that happened further the road. Oh, I'm going to be 20 minutes late or gee, I hope that person's okay. So we can't control the weather and the things, but we can control, well, with things as they are, what needs to be done. And that's a Japanese saying which is arugamama aral gum.
Okay.
We'Ll put that one in our next bit of communication stuff. Yes. Look, I could give you some more shares there. The, the slide that I have opted to. So we. Back on the call, I think. Did that kill off here?
We lost a screen share.
Oh good. We lost the screen share. Excellent. So the, the one that I've. The slides that I've chosen to skip over here for the moment are the ones about. It's. It's a painting, a canvas ex. That life is a blank canvas. We have the option to paint with it. The way we paint is through our thoughts and actions and if we don't pay attention to what we're thinking and how we're doing it, the canvas ends up messy. The other way around is we have the option to choose our colors, our thoughts, to have our plan for how we're doing our life, which is our vision and how we're going to get there, which is programs like this and we paint a better picture. What this ties into for us in this group is all about vision, statement and having an action to get there. Because you know, it's the, the, the what is it? The plan without a process and how to get there just remains a dream. You know, it's that sort of stuff. So it's really about the engagement in it. So before we move along to wins and challenges and into our wrapping up routine, does anyone have anything they'd like to just cover off on any other of those points that we've raised there? Rohini, anything you'd like to offer on those ones?
No, nothing, Mark. But when you were, you know, speaking about these four thoughts, I think somewhere my mom's picture came in front of me because I think when I was growing up she used to keep telling me control thoughts, you know, law of controlling with real time examples that she used to give me, you know, and love connection also because I'm not very social person. Kalpak knows about it. So she keeps talking about that also, you know, so when you were telling me all those incidences, I was recollecting all those statements of you know what she keeps telling me every now and then law of control is on top of the list, you know, every time she keeps repeating and she keeps talking about that. So I could relate very much to that.
So the good thing is. So thank you very much. But the good thing is now when she says it, you can say, mum, I'm building a quality mind. And she'll look at you with shock and then you can go, would you like me to tell you how to control your thoughts, mum? And you can give your mom a lecture on how to control her thoughts and the next time she really annoys you. You can go, Mum, I think you're in your child mind right now and that'll be great. It'll shut her up and she'll, she just won't know what to do with it. So. But, but again, I, we. We can't control our habits until we're aware of them. We can't control our thoughts until we're aware of them and even then it's really hard to control the habitual thoughts, you know, when we. This person's name. What happens when we walk through that door? What happens, you know, when we wake up in the morning? What are the first 10 things we do before we think? How we get dressed, how we put our shoes on, how we go to the bathroom, how we wash our face, how we pat the dog, you know, whatever it is, you know. But by fueling our thoughts with positivity, the power thoughts and the vision and the stuff you guys are doing now, that means that when our habits start to burn, they've got a better quality fuel to go with. And just tell your mom that and you can come back to us next week and tell us what she had to say. Well done, well done. Now the next thing we'd normally do is wins and challenges, but I think we've had some really good wins discussed at the start, so I won't try and dig in any more there. In terms of our Q map for this week, here's what we've got to focus on, which is again, keeping up the thought shops. Now I'm going to start calling you out if I don't get thumbs up. With lots of emojis after them from everyone. Every day they're doing their thought shops. I'm pointing at you guys there, put them in there, let everyone know you're doing your work. So seven thought shops, a meditation a day. The good news is most of you are nailing these really well at the moment. Three weekly bubble pops. Mitch, I'm hearing you that sometimes it's sort of. Well, really I'm having a pretty good day. I've got nothing really to work through. I quite like them for a problem solving technique, you know, just for a small thing, for a bit of fun, bit of a giggle. And the body balance module with you all. Now I'm going to give you a bit of a hack idea on what you can do here with getting some points up. So you go exercise, you listen to a meditation while you're doing it, you get back, you log it in the body balance, you then go to your journal, you say, I went for a run today and it was really good. And Mitch, you know, you can fill it in like Mitch did, and then you go to power thoughts. The further I run, the lower the pain, the greater the gain. Something like that sounds silly, but those four little interactions continue to hype up the positivity about everything. Yeah. So it's about stacking those habits in. So remember, thumbs up seven every day from everyone, or I'll set Rich Mahoney onto you. He gets pretty pumped up about these things. Alrighty. So before I kick it off, would anyone like to share a reward and recognition for anyone else in the crew today who'd like to start me off?
I'd like to nominate Rahini. I was really impressed with her breakthrough with meditation. I've been trying meditation on and off, and I haven't quite reached that level yet. And I was just really impressive to hear. Not only had you been doing it regularly, but you'd had that, you know, control over your thoughts. And it wasn't just a mention of it. You're really quite confident, and it came across really confident that you'd actually really kind of got into that. So, yeah, I think. Yeah, I think, Rahini, that. That's awesome. I'd love to give you a big thumbs up for that.
Rohini, you've got to do the mute.
Thank you. Yes, thanks. Thanks much. Thank you so much for it.
And who would you like to nominate, Rahini?
I think I'd like to nominate Ken. You know, the reason being, you know, we know he's also going through some hardships in his professional life, but in the midst of all those things, he ensures, you know, he keeps interacting with the app. He doesn't lose that focus. Because normally when your professional life takes a little bit of toll, you know, your personal life also goes for a toss. But he's balanced, I think, those two very well, you know, and we could hear some family conversations also, some pet conversations also. So I think he's balancing both very well. So I think for me, it's Ken.
Thank you, Rahini. That's really kind of good. Yeah, the. In. In that kind of aspect, I ran into, I guess, you know, I guess an idiom or saying that life was, you know, the lessons you'll struggle with will keep repeating themselves until you learn from them. And I think I finally learned, you know, you know, in that regard, you know, I. I do want to, you know, nominate, you know, compact, you know, I know, starting anything that has to do with a physical training Journey. Like if you're, if you're trying to, it's. I remember, you know, when I, when I was at my heaviest and I started, you know, I realized like, I couldn't be that anymore. Like it was just tearing my body up. I would try some of that, you know, my old military days, like, you know, hey, get your butt up, you know, you know, do a little, you know, some someday. And I found that, you know, more and more that I thought about the positive effect I would get from the exercise really kept me going further. So as you're, as you're doing your exercises or as you're making your gym more of a part of your life, it, it's inspiring to see another person starting that. And I say keep it up. You're doing a great job.
Yeah, thanks. Thanks for that. And I would say that that comes from what Mark also posted, like his partner things. So that also pumped me up a bit. But yeah, from, from a recognition point of view, I would say, Mitch, what you explained today, ignoring the pain while going for a run. So I think that's something which I'll, I'll take it as a point for this particular week that even if you are feeling lazy, even if you are not in the mood or even if you, if your body is not ready to do it, at least give it a try. If not, like, let's say five kilometers, maybe at least three. Like a three kilometer thing. So that's what I'll be taking off from this particular meeting.
I think. Kelpec, that's, you know, Mark knows as well. I've sort of gone through those sort of physical cycles, you know, from being fit and focused and not fit and, and one. And just in this journey, I think I've been able to translate that from I must get out, you know, I must do this, I must do that, to just, just, just get one step out the door. Like that's, that's literally. Some mornings I go, I'm just going to put my shoes on. I'm just gonna roll out of bed. I'm just gonna. And, And I find that I find it's becoming easier the more times I just not set the huge goal. I don't know. That's my advice is like, it's just literally I'm just gonna put my running shoes on. And I've actually found that that has helped take the stress of what I think I'm about to go and do and just these little, tiny, tiny moments. Anyway, yeah, that's my, my kind of thoughts. But yeah. Well done. Yeah, that's just. Yeah. Awesome.
Awesome. Oh, good work, guys. And, Mimi, over to you, please, for the last reward and recognition for the week.
Yes.
I would like, you know, give my vote to Rohini because I know how. I know how lignite must be feeling about. I mean, meditation is hard and, like, you know, it took me a lot of time. So after I joined Quality Mind Boot Camp, I started meditating on a regular basis, and I have moved from 10 to 20, so I know. I know how hard it is to, like, you know, start making that habit, building that habit. So cheers to Rohini. I mean, like, to take this on a, like, you know, to make it as a habit. I mean, like, it really, really helps.
So.
Yeah.
Thank you. Thank you, Bhagashi. Thank you.
Fantastic. Okay, well, guys, we finished on time. My closing message for you this week is keep up. Really good work, and actually, I'll drop out of character a second. Thank you very much for all of your contributions today. That was really cool. I feel every week a bit more coming out from all of you into the group, and it's really, really rewarding having my position here working with you all and just seeing that growth take place. Keep at it. Keep your momentum up and your enthusiasm up. Your results will continue coming. Fortify yourself for the challenges and you'll smash on through them when they come along. So some really great work happening now, Mimi, so I can get the farewell photograph. Would you be able to put yourself on the screen just so I can get the. Get the snapshot of everyone together, please? Maybe that's a no. No. Have we lost her again?
We've lost her again.
Oh, I think she ran away when she heard we're going to take a photograph. I think that's what's happening here.
Photoshop something in.
Yeah, I'll just. I'll just put her in from another meeting just to say. All right, guys, well, without further ado, I will get you all to give me a cheesy wave. Band. Actually, we'll go one more because, as per usual, I've got it entirely wrong. I'm good at this, aren't I? Give me a wave.
Go on.
There we go. Fantastic team. Thank you again. Have a wonderful day. Look forward to seeing you all next few days and next week together as a group.
Mate, good luck with your dentist.
Yeah, might need it.
Thank you.
See you later.
Thank you. Thanks.
Yeah.
It.
