Good evening everyone. Or good morning depending on when you get this message. Mark Lucky here. I guess you can think of me as the assistant coach as part of your transformation program with Quality Minds. Great to be part of the program with you over my journey of all things mental fitness and coaching. I've been part of a lot of different courses over the years and delivered a lot of different courses both one on one and in these group sessions. And I've just popped a bit of time onto the camera this evening just to give you a few tips and tricks from having seen lots and lots of people go through programs just like transform that you're going through. What you'll find below this video as well is a link that you can book some one on one time with me each week if you want to have a bit of a chat about your program and your progress and to get the very most out of it. So first of all, congratulations for taking a big step on working on what is the biggest project of your life, which is you. Anything that we work on in terms of self development or self improvement is at the core of everything that is in our lives, which is us. And so everything that you work on here won't just benefit your career or your body or your mind or your spirit, but it's holistic and it will help benefit everything that you do. So here's a few tips and tricks that I've compiled over time to see the people who have gotten the very most out of their coaching experience. One thing is to understand that the journey you've taken to get here is to embark upon change. And change is tough. We're trying to break old habits building new ones and we get challenged. And at times it can be really, really hard work. And you will be challenged through this process and you will be introduced to new information which maybe contradicts some old values or beliefs that you've held close for a long period of time. So try and be open to that. And the easy way to be open to information which is new or that is challenging is to approach things with a sense of curiosity instead of judgment. It's really easy to judge. It's built into so much of what we do and in our decision making process. And so if it's an idea or if it's the way someone else is presenting, or if it's that something doesn't sit quite right, or rather than judge it, just go with curiosity and ask why is that? And you'll find it will help you get past a lot of the roadblocks the next thing is in terms of what you're wanting to get out of this transformation program, don't just consider why you joined, but be very, very specific in what you want to get out of it. Write it down and really get an idea of what's going to make this all worthwhile for you. Stick it on the back of a door, look at it every day and remind yourself on what you need to do. If you're anything like me, especially coming from a background in IT in martial arts as a CIO and I was a CEO for a short period of time for a technology company, was coming into the wellness industry or beginning to coach was that it's really easy to get hung up on the words and the concepts, especially when they're new. And let's face it, some of these do come across a little bit hippie at times, and that's fine. If you do find there's a word or a piece of terminology that you're getting stuck on, try and look past the word to find the meaning. But just as important as understanding and being compassionate with someone else's words, you actually have to be quite hard on the language that you use specifically when you are thinking about yourself, especially around the internal dialogue. And we get to more of that later on in the course. Following on from that concept of curiosity and language and words is feel free to get a bit philosophical. I actually quite like philosophy. I've got a couple of medallions up here from Marcus Aurelius because I quite like the stoic stuff. I also quite like Japanese psychology and I've also done a lot of offshore work in India, so I'm quite interested in what different cultures bring to it. Philosophical discussions don't necessarily need an answer, they're about the discovery and the investigation and it's a great way to ponder and deconstruct some of the ideas in a way that then makes sense to you as you try and implement them in your life. I've seen already in the chats and I entirely get this notion of too much tech or the role of the tech in these sorts of change programs. And the way the tech works in its simplest format is it just keeps us connected to one another for that time that when we aren't in our group sessions or when we aren't in the one on one sessions, simply by getting on the app and doing that seven to 30 minutes a day of just power thoughts, reminding and connecting in keeps this sort of change process front of mind. And what I know of the quality minds app. So I was an app designer and a systems designer for a while. Excuse me. And I've worked on some other projects as well. Is the more points you get by doing the things in the app, the greater your chance of building your own quality mind and going through the transformation. It is that simple, it's that straightforward. So do the things, listen to the music, do the power thoughts, do the thought shopping, whatever it is to score yourself points, do it and you will literally find the transformation happens easier. The thing that I've seen that has gone really, really well for people is when they give themselves over. I mean, after all you've signed up, you're doing this project for yourself or this program for yourself. So why not give it the best possible go? The ones that I've seen that have just undergone the most amazing transformation, whether they are male, female or non binary, whether they're starting their careers, ending their careers, or whether they are in countries across the world, from Australia to the UK to Dubai and to India, is the ones who really immerse themselves in it, that really take notice of what's going on and make it part of themselves. For the period of time for the program, which is only an hour a week for three months plus a few minutes here and there on the app are the ones that make changes that last for life and that become part of them as they go along. If there is one very, very simple thing I can tell you, one massively simple scientific proof that will lift your spirits and improve the quality of your thoughts and your action is move. More literally, the more we move, the better our mental health and the quality of our thoughts. It's not only directly that we get outside and get fresh air, but it's all of those other secondary benefits of moving. And I think now for something like 26 of the 29 most common non communicable diseases in the world, including depression, that exercise beats medication every time. So move lots and you'll find you get great benefit amongst all of this. But most of all, and one of the really important aspects of this is get in touch, chat with one another and share your experiences, whether it's in WhatsApp or the people you're talking to or friends and let them know what you're doing, support one another, be accountable to one another. But most importantly, whether it's any in the classes or rather in the sessions when we're working together or booking a one on one session, get in touch with us. Our job in this is not only to help you get the best result possible. But part of becoming a coach and part of being a quality mind mentor is we do this because we love seeing people cross the threshold for transformation. So use the link book a one on one, turn up on time, do the work and your life will change the better. Look forward to seeing you soon. Have a great week ahead. Bye for now.
