I'm the CEO of a 7-figure startup in New York City, and this was my Monday. 6 AM wake up, coffee on my rooftop, then straight onto the Citi Bike to the gym for a quick workout. Then I'm back by 8 to do a sauna and cold plunge meeting with the founder of a men's skincare brand called Pretty Boy. We discussed how we could potentially work together and how I could help him out. From 11 to 2, I was slammed with internal team calls, doing one-on-ones with my direct reports and group calls for marketing and sales. By 3 PM, I was walking my girlfriend's dog while on a board meeting for a startup I advise. Which ended right in time for my discovery call with the brand founder at 3:45.
I can either help you solve this problem or find someone for you who can.
That's a good way to go about it. And then I had 15 minutes to work on some content ideas right before I went on a 4-mile run with Zach, a close friend. I got the update on his new company, Aura. Right when I got back, I had to get on a call with my co-founder because a team issue came up. We are growing fast and need to hire. Once we got that sorted out, I had a discovery sales call with another founder based in Australia.
You just never know who's actually using it, yet they apparently are making a lot of money.
Finally, for the last couple hours of the day, I caught up on work and emails, and that was a day in my life as a CEO running a 7-figure startup in New York City.
