How Do You Find Deep Meaning & Purpose In Life? - Weekly Inspiration From Ben Greenfield

A short spoken-word segment by Ben Greenfield describing his experience with Soma Breathwork and presenting his view that deep meaning and purpose are found through interpersonal spiritual connection rather than through fitness, nutrition, or knowledge. He invites listeners to practice a two-minute gaze into a loved one’s eyes to experience that connection.

One or two times a month, I slip down into my sauna, I lay.
Flat on my back and I do an hour of what is called Soma Breathwork. It's very similar to holotropic breathwork. I learned it from a man named the Renegade Pharmacist. And you can go to my website@BenGreenfieldFitness.com.
To listen to my interview with him where we discuss the concept of Soma Breathwork.
This morning's session was very powerful. All of these sessions are the deepest I ever go into consciousness. Light, love and wisdom from God in.
A completely drug free type of situation.
This is all based on using your breath to go very, very deep. Today the message that came to me was a message that I want to share with you. And it was that meaning. So many of us, especially in the fitness and the health and the nutrition and the biohacking and the anti aging and the longevity circles, we're on a constant search, a constant endless rat wheel search for meaning.
Where do we truly find that meaning in the end? Where have I found that meaning? I found that meaning not in the workouts, not in the nutrition, not in the knowledge, not in any of that, but instead, in connection. Connection with my lover, connection with my children, connection with my friends, connection with my community. In connection with you. Gazing into someone's eyes, seeing deep into their spirit, into their soul, past the flesh and the body, that all fades away, but instead into the deepest and most meaningful part of each and every one of us. That is true connection. And I dare you this week to find one person who you love and just gaze into their eyes for two minutes and see deep into their soul. See deep into their spirit. When you have that kind of deep spiritual connection with all those who you hold dear, then everything else is just fun, interesting, it's joyful, it's an adventure. But it's not where you're going to get your true purpose and your true fulfillment. Your true purpose and your true fulfillment. And the satisfaction for that meaning that you crave is in connection with others, Connection with their soul, connection with their spirit and connection with.
With that tiny piece of God that.
God put in each and every one of us. Connect with that in yourself and connect with that in others. And that is where you will find your meaning.
