How To Triple Your Testosterone Production With Red Light

Ben Greenfield uses a Joovv red-light device at 660 nm wavelengths, claiming it can triple testosterone by stimulating ATP production in Leydig cells. He recommends a few minutes of daily exposure to the scrotum and warns that longer wavelengths or UV and blue light damage sperm instead.

Hey, what's up? It's Ben Greenfield. This is a creepy video. This is a video about sperm and testosterone and this strange device called a joovv that's hanging in my office.
I'm not wearing any pants right now, so I'm going to keep this video from the head up and I'm self filming it, so I'll apologize for any filming issues. But basically, new research, and I recently wrote about this in a comprehensive article on my website that I'll link to, has shown that exposure to a specific wavelength of red light, and the wavelength is very important, can actually triple testosterone production and result in vast improvements in something called fertility, which is synonymous with making babies. So you need to be careful with this research because it's a bright line. If you use the wrong wavelength, you can actually damage your sperm in the same way that cell phones can damage sperm and excessive exposure to sunlight can damage sperm. But exposure to red light for several minutes per day, and what I've been doing is just standing when I'm working or talking on the phone and naked in front of this light for about five minutes can improve testosterone. And you actually feel this surge in energy. It's actually really cool libido. And also, although I'm not personally planning on making babies anytime soon, for those of you out there interested in making babies, fertility. So this particular light that I have hanging, let me turn it off here for a second so you guys can see what this looks like. Because the lighting is a bit harsh. I know. Okay, so there I'm going to turn on the lights in my office. So it's called the Joovv J O O V V. You can go to BenGreenfieldFitness.com Joovv to take a look at it. It hangs there. It just plugs into the wall. There's a little switch on the bottom here where you turn it on and I literally pull my pants down and I either squat over this thing if I'm reading on the floor, or I'll stand in front of it how it is right now. There's a lot of other therapeutic effects on your skin, your mood, circadian rhythm, detoxification, etcetera from light therapy. But this is 660 nanometers, so it's not of the 800 plus nanometer wavelength that can damage the testicles. That's really careful. If you just go buy something randomly off Amazon, you could hurt yourself. But this joovv is also quite convenient in that it hangs on the door like that so I can just Literally shove my balls up against that thing and. And do my thing. So, guys, if you want a cool way to increase testosterone, you don't want to take a bunch of supplements. You want to try out something new. You've tried everything, but your testosterone won't go up. Or if you're trying to improve fertility. Check this thing out. J o o v V. I don't even know if I'm pronouncing that properly, but go to BenGreefulFitness.com J O O V I'll put a link down in this video. Check this thing out, get it, then get your pants off and literally just stand on it with let it shine on your balls for several minutes. And we're talking about a boost in what's called ATP production from the stimulation of mitochondria in your testicles, tripling of testosterone levels. Based off of what they've looked at in terms of the way that this can activate something called cytochrome oxidase in your Leydig cells. This is the testosterone producing parts of your cells or your testicles. And then understand that the wavelength of the light is really, really important. The type of light exposure is crucial. And you don't want like an incandescent or a heat lamp or something that gives off 800 plus nanometers. So this one's in research. They've used about 600 to 950 nanometers. I like to go lower wavelength just because I care about my testicles. So this is 660. And yeah, that's it. Avoid blue light, UVA light, UVB light on the testicles. But this red light, go to town, baby. So you flip it on right here. Boom, boom. Flip off the other lights and we're back to creeper mode. All right, enjoy and leave any questions below the video.
