Ben Greenfield injects NAD, a molecule he calls anti-aging, at home and describes the immediate effects: nausea, burning, lightheadedness, and a gag reflex. He's tested it before in an 8-hour infusion and uses telomere testing to measure results.

Hey, what's up you guys? It's me, Ben. Sit on my kitchen table. Nicotinamide, adenine, dinucleotide. It's this stuff. This is one of the most powerful anti aging molecules known to man. I've had a push IV of this before. Took eight hours.
I am going to, after drawing this up into this syringe, do a push IV of nad. I've been informed by the physician who I'm working with.
Who sent me this, that people throw up. People feel like they're going to have a heart attack. People feel like they've been punched in the gut with every 2ml and that it takes about.
10 minutes to do the entire syringe. I'll leave the camera on the whole time. You guys might see me puking and fainting and whatever. I give this a go anyways and I figured if I'm going to do this, I might as well video record the whole process, including the potential embarrassing faint that may ensue. We're going to do this with a, with a butterfly needle. So I'll replace this needle with a butterfly and this will just basically go into the vein on my right arm. I may actually, may recruit my, my assistant upstairs to tape this needle once I get it into the vein. Since it's gonna be in there a little while.
It might be prudent. And I'm just pushing the air out of the tube here, as you can see.
Hey Nessa, what would you think about taping this in once I get it in?
The fun part about working at my house is you get to mess around with crazy stuff like this. I've got my MP3 player so I can listen to audiobooks and podcasts.
While I reverse aging in my bloodstream. Okay.
I'm not sure if wherever I post this video if it will get taken down or not because a lot of times these videos that involve needles.
Tend to not do too well surviving on the Internet. Alright, so once I get it on Nessa, you can just use this piece of rock tape and tape it down. Rock tape. Every physician's best friend. All right, let me go on the, on the right side here.
All right, here we go. So first I'll get this needle in the vein and then I'll just have you swoop in and tape it down real quick once I get that back. Flash of blood. So hold on here and about right there.
Okay, we are in.
Go ahead and tape that down. Thank you. You can apply pressure, it's fine. Okay, here we go. Gonna push the first 2mL in and I generally use a lot of box breathing when I go through something like this because I've done, like I mentioned, the full 8 hour injection and even that was pretty uncomfortable. This is in terms of improving your NAD to NADH ratio though, an extremely, extremely powerful way to get the anti aging benefits of that. And this is the type of thing you do and then test your telomere length later on. So right now I've got. So far I'm doing okay. I've actually got about.
1 milliliter in.
And go ahead and remove my tourniquet here.
And 2 ML in. The doctor told me to do 2 ML and then take a break.
So far I'm doing okay though I feel a little bit light headed.
However, we're coming up on the. Okay there. It just hit me.
I'm going to go to La La Land and listen to something and breathe through this. I'm not going to talk to you guys very much during this. I'm just going to breathe through it.
Listen.
My whole body's on fire right now.
Sa.
Okay, that first rush is kind of gone. Had a little bit of a gag reflex there. Trying to puke all over my computer here. I do have a. I do have a garbage can nearby for this.
And I'm gonna keep going here while I scroll around on my phone and.
Check a couple of emails. You know what, it's probably gonna be pretty boring for you guys to watch this whole thing so.
I could keep this going, but I'm just wondering and what the heck, we'll keep it going.
And again, no clue if something like this will get taken down if I post this to Facebook. But this is what a full NAD injection is actually like.
Okay, I've got my next one ML.
And you kind of feel it hit you. I'm just going to go nice and slow. I got my hand on this the whole time.
While I'm tooling around on my phone.
I'm going to call an audible on this and assume that this is going to be a pretty boring video. So I'm going to press stop. For those of you who watch whatever part of this video you saw.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. I did a podcast on this over@BenGreenfieldFitness.com.
Nad if you would like to go listen to a podcast on why this is the most potent anti aging molecule that exists. It's also one of the most uncomfortable things you can do to yourself. You literally feel like you're going to die of a heart attack, throw up, and catch on fire all at the same time. I rank this as about a 9 on a scale of 10. On a scale of 1 to 10, in terms of one of the most.
Painful and uncomfortable things that you can, you can do to yourself. But just like a hard workout, there are benefits. All right, I'm going to press stop and keep going here because I need to focus, and I really don't want to talk to people right now because my whole head hurts. Okay, bye.
