Ben Greenfield combines high-oxygen breathing (93% oxygen from a reservoir) with a vibrating exercise bike at low wattage (60 watts) to fight the low-oxygen state that follows air travel. He inhales through his mouth, exhales through his nose, and does this right after landing at 1am.

This is a giant bag of oxygen that feeds me 93% oxygen while I am training. I just got off a plane at about 1am and whenever that happens, I'm kind of hypoxic for a morning workout. So I have this next to my vibrating exercise bike. I know this is a lot to take in, lots of toys, and I'm supposed to wear this mask when I use the oxygen. But because I'm doing kind of a quick circuit around and around and around. Don't laugh and don't tell anybody else who comes to my house and wants to use this thing about the hygienic components of this, but I literally just stick it straight in my mouth.
There we go.
This bike vibrates. It's very cool.
So big breath in through the mouth with oxygen, then out through the nose.
Take a look at the screen. I'm not pedaling at very high wattage, right? I'm only producing 60 watts with any cyclist. Nose is not much, but the vibration makes us feel about four times as much, just because my muscles are having to work a lot harder.
So what I do is two minutes on the bike, and then I have a few different exercises I do in the vibration platform for one minute each.
