The Christian Gratitude Journal

Ben Greenfield walks through the Christian Gratitude Journal, a daily tool that pairs a Bible verse with prompts to record one thing you're grateful for, one biblical truth you found, and one person to pray for. He says the practice builds spiritual growth, calmer mornings, and better relationships.

I'm Ben Greenfield, the creator and author of the Christian Gratitude Journal. Before using this journal, I'd haphazardly jump into just about any Bible verse. I wouldn't think about serving or praying or helping others during the day, and I certainly didn't have a call to action to spend time in gratitude. Thanks. But now I can start every single day with a thought about how I can help someone, serve someone, pray for someone, and with direction in terms of my daily devotions and the way that I go about my spiritual habits every single morning. Some of the major benefits of using the Christian Gratitude Journal include an improvement in physical health based on the scientifically proven benefits of a daily practice of gratefulness and gratitude. A simple structure that you can rely on beginning each day with this simple structure allows you to quickly develop a positive habit of journaling. This journal will serve as a chronicle of your walk with God and your relationship with others. Calmer Mornings Beginning each day with stillness is an incredibly calming way to live your life. When I begin each day with a practice of gratefulness, daily stressors like hundreds of emails in the inbox, getting the kids ready for school, or having the garage door break. All of these little things don't seem to stress me out as much because I have that one thing that I'm grateful for, that one thing I can depend upon. No matter how bad the rest of the day might go. Just beginning the day by having that anchor, that one item that you know is in your life that you can be grateful for that brings love and joy and peace and happiness into your life. It makes your day easier, simpler, and more enjoyable. You'll be kept accountable to your relationship with God. Journaling has had that impact for me, and I've been able to share that experience with my family, my wife, and my twin Spirit now use this same journal. That means we can hold each other accountable in our practice of gratitude, our study of scripture, prayer, and service to others. Each night we bring our journals. When we gather at the dinner table, we share what we are most grateful for that day, the biblical truths we discovered from the daily reading, and who we specifically identified to pray for or help or serve that day. Service will become a natural part of your life. Now that I start every day by listing at least one person who I can pray for or serve or help, I've grown into a far less selfish and far more aware, selfless and serving person. As you journal each day, you'll experience the same transformation.
Have you ever had a day where you woke up and it felt like everything was just going perfectly? Things just felt easy, effortless, and you were able to smile at all times, even in the face of trials and tribulations? Is there a way for you to replicate that every day? The Christian Gratitude Journal is designed to help you do just that. In the first few minutes of the morning, you're fresh and you have the precious opportunity to set the tone for the rest of the day. With your help, we can bring the Christian Gratitude Journal into the hands of people all over the globe. Together, we can make a huge difference in the lives of so many people. Sam.
