Ben Simpson (creator/speaker) delivers a short monologue about the emotional volatility of cryptocurrency investing. He describes rapid mood swings—panic, euphoria, fear—and warns that emotion-driven decisions cause poor timing. His recommendation: make a logical plan (decide capital allocation), position primarily in Bitcoin and altcoins, and use dollar-cost averaging to remove emotion.

When you're new to crypto, you can find out pretty quickly that you're going to feel panicked, you're going to feel euphoric, you're going to feel scared, fearful, all in the same week. Crypto is absolutely wild. The worst mistakes I've ever made in crypto are emotional ones. And I see this with clients, you know, especially when, you know, the market moves to the downside and you make an emotional decision because the market is in a correction that is very normal for crypto. And then the next day the market rebounds and you feel euphoric again. And then we see them buy back in and it's like, that is not the way to do it. You end up being on the yo yo. So the way I break through that is having a logical plan. I know how much money I want to add to the market. I position that capital into primarily Bitcoin altcoins. If I'm really convicted based on the time and I dollar cost average that in and I'm very logical about it, I remove the emotion. When you're trading off emotions, it creates a yo yo effect where you're always buying and selling at the exact wrong time. So logic cuts through emotion. Understand that crypto is very emotional and having a logical plan and understanding this is different to any other market is so, so important.
