Ben Simpson explains distinct crypto portfolio strategies depending on capital size: $10,000, $100,000, and $1,000,000. For small stakes (~$10k) he recommends taking more risk but still holding at least 25% Bitcoin and allocating more to altcoins (memes, AI, layer-1s like Sui, Solana). For ~$100k he suggests a more conservative split (≈50% Bitcoin, ≈25% layer-1s, ≈25% higher-risk assets). For ~$1M he emphasizes heavy Bitcoin accumulation (dollar-cost averaging), modest layer-1 exposure, keeping cash for dips, and avoiding large allocations to meme coins.

Here's how I'd allocate $10,000, $100,000 and $1,000,000 to crypto. All portfolio allocations are extremely different. If you only have $10,000 in your bank and you put all that $10,000 in crypto, that is a very, very bad move because crypto is volatile and if you put it all in and it goes down, you're going to panic. All right, so if you're starting to dabble, you've got a little bit of cash and now you're putting in $10,000 and you're wanting to take some risk. That's where I'd allocate a little bit more to the higher risk sectors. Maybe you want to play with some of the altcoins. However, I would still stack at least 25% in Bitcoin. So many people are currently come into crypto and invest a little bit amount try and put into altcoins. But the reality is altcoins are underperforming bitcoin by the majority. So many altcoins are still underperforming. I do understand though, if you're putting in 10k, you may want to grow that and take higher risk. So reduce your bitcoin allocation and maybe focus on maybe some, some meme coin sectors, some AI sectors, layer ones I think are super hot right now, like Hype, Sui, Solana. That's how I focus. If you're investing $100,000 now, you're getting a little bit more serious. Start with bitcoin, really start to accumulate bitcoin for the long term. Again, I'll be trying to get at least 50% of my portfolio into Bitcoin and then stacking the layer one assets, maybe 25% into layer ones again, the likes of Eth Solana, Sui. These are the big layer one sectors that the VCs invest into. And in the remaining 25% you get a little bit higher risk. If you're putting in a million dollars, this is where you're really getting into bigger wealth. You do not need to take the risk at this level into barreling into these little mini meme coin assets. They're super high risk and to actually make a lot of money in their high risk space, you need to allocate a lot to those assets. You're putting in a million dollars, I would dollar cost average in. I'll probably keep a little bit of cash on the sideline for those dips, but I'll be accumulating bitcoin primarily. That's your big wealth creation layer ones I would then stack a little bit of. A little bit of Memes Defy for me is the underrated sector of this cycle. But right now, outside of bitcoin, the layer ones like Hype, Solana, Sui, these have been huge winners for us. Hype hit all time highs yesterday. Stack for the long term, build bitcoin to preserve your wealth and all coins to rotate it in the top of the cycle. That's how I allocate.
