How The 2025 Crypto Bull Run Is Going To Make Me Millions

YouTube video (Ben Simpson, Jan 30, 2025) arguing 2025 will be a major crypto bull year. Simpson outlines a simple portfolio strategy that prioritizes stacking Bitcoin as a "savings account," keeps significant positions in next‑gen layer‑1s (Solana, Sui) and ETH, and small allocations to AI and meme coins. He cites macro/regulatory tailwinds (Trump administration, potential quantitative easing, bank custody/SAB121, increased DeFi adoption) as drivers; urges patience and simplified allocation instead of over‑trading altcoins.

Most people are absolutely over complicating this bull market. I have made millions of dollars in crypto over the last seven years. I'm going to share with you exactly how I plan to make more than a million dollars this year in 2025 and how you can copy my same strategy because I'm seeing so many things online and people beginning bearish. Is the bull market over why altcoins going down. And yes, the altcoins are in a slump, but bitcoin is over a hundred thousand US dollars. Six months ago we were worried whether bitcoin would even get past the previous all time highs at that $70,000 level. Trump's been elected, we have the inauguration that's just happened. He's pro crypto. He literally owns his own crypto investing company, World Liberty Financial, that are buying huge amounts of crypto. He's talking about a bitcoin strategic reserve. We got massive investments into AI. We've got, you know, inflation starting to come down, potentially quantitative easing starting later in the year. There's so many things that are in the tailwinds for bitcoin and crypto to be absolutely massive this year, but yet so many people are getting really upset, really worried and frustrated. So I'm going to dial in today and share with you why 2025 is going to be such a massive year for crypto, how I plan to make a huge amount of money in crypto. I'm going to be going through the step by step investments that I'm looking at, the tailwinds, the timelines, everything that you need to really understand what's going on. So first of all, I wanted to start off with, you know, where are we even at in the market? And you know, there's a lot of conversation about, you know, is it over? You know, we have these pullbacks and the market comes back, we're really just chopping sideways. You know, the market hasn't really done too much since sort of December where we hit, you know, that 100 and what was $106,000 level. We've sort of been pulling back and we've been in this consolidation period. This is actually pretty healthy for a market when it's run up so fast. You know, when Trump was elected, we ran from 67,000 pretty much straight to 100 and then up to 105 and we're now in that sort of consolidation level. One really interesting thing that I think a lot of people are forgetting is that the altcoin market cap, so that if you look at the total Market cap, excluding bitcoin and Ethereum. It's actually at not quite all time highs but pretty much, you know, level to where we were back in December when we had a pretty big altcoin run. Really, really important to remember that this time around in this cycle there are literally millions and millions of coins. It's not as easy as just picking anything this cycle and it's just all going to go up in you know, some sort of altcoin season. Like we haven't really seen an altcoin season yet. Yes, we saw meme coins run. Yes we saw a lot of things run like you know, late last year. Like if we look over the last year in terms of what those altcoin sectors that really ran, you know, we saw a lot of the big centralized exchanges. We saw meme coins have a really big run up, you know, meme coins are still up on average about 200% of the last year. Those exchange tokens which I mentioned and then everything sort of drops off AI sort of come back to about a level playing field. And then if you look over the last month, you know, just in January alone, pretty much everything's been down outside of, outside, outside of Bitcoin and saw a value project. So again we've had a huge run up. We are in that consolidation period. But it's important to remember that bitcoin has had such a massive run already and I think really what's been the tailwinds for those things has been the election, the macro trends and I think bitcoin is going to continue to rally and go up over the course this year, which I'll talk about in a second. But the other assets that I've been really, you know, really excited about that have been performing well. Solana and sui, the next gen layer ones like if we look over the last sort of, you know, 612 months or so, you know, Solana, even if we go back to like where you know, Solana was really struggling back in the, you know, in the recent bear market, we've basically gone over the last, you know, year and a bit from $20 right to $200. We've had like a 10x on Solana in about 18 months which is absolutely massive. Same with, same with Sui. Sui hasn't done, you know, as much. But those next gen layer ones has been such a massive run up. You look at the SUI market cap like we've gone from you know, 2 billion to 11 billion, you know, in about 18 months. So the next gen layer ones have done really really well. What hasn't done well is Eth. Eth continues to sort of chop sideways and really hasn't done a whole lot for a long, long time. I'm very bullish on Ethereum. I think Ethereum is going to do really well, you know, into the future. But it's really sort of lacked that, that marketing that really, you know, where is it in the, in the world in terms of brand and positioning? And I know Vitalik's had a lot of problems with, you know, the leadership and you know, it's just been a lot of, you know, I wouldn't say internal fighting, but they're still trying to figure out exactly what Ethereum is going to do. I and Ethereum's going to be. But they've got a lot of upgrades coming this year. We've got literally Trump, the President of the United States buying a heap of Ethereum. I believe Ethereum continues to be like the global and will be the global, most secure layer one blockchain. But I've also made sure I've had, you know, really good exposure to things like Solana and Sui on the outside to make sure, you know, we're getting those run ups, you know, in the altcoin space. But you know, in terms of bitcoin, like, you know, bitcoin is going to be the leader in terms of giving us a good indication of when altcoins is going to start. I do think we're going to need to see bitcoin really head into, you know, territories like that sort of maybe 120, 130, you know, 150 level. Even our on chain analyst Checkmate has been talking about, you know, really where we can get into areas where the market, you know, starts to form a top from a bitcoin perspective and we start to see whales take profits and the money moves down. That's a traditionally how we've seen altcoin season run. Bitcoin has a massive move. Whales start to rotate down and they start to buy altcoins and then things start to rally. What altcoins are those going to be? Look, I think that the main narratives and sectors which I've been talking about in the past are really around like, you know, AI. I think meme coins will have a good run next gen layer ones. I think the AI is probably the biggest thing. Like we've obviously seen a huge movement in, you know, the decentralized AI networks, the AI bots and a range of different things. Again, how do you get exposure to AI? Personally, I think you Know, something like even just investing on the blockchain level, like Solana. Solana has been really heavy on trying to build a lot more AI projects. On top of Solana, I'm also investing in Prime. Prime is like a gaming AI project. That's really my AI play for this year. You can have a look at those sort of AI agents, but there's so many of them and they are super volatile. So I think that the biggest thing that I really want to bring back to you in terms of what's performing well and what's not is really portfolio allocation. Like if you've been over allocated into altcoins and you haven't had bitcoin in your portfolio, you've missed out on 130, 140% returns over the last 12 months and you're sitting in a bunch of altcoins are probably down now 30, 40%. Your portfolio is not looking that great. One thing I always say is make sure you have a large percentage of Bitcoin and really simplify your strategy. And I guess that's really what I want to talk about today. My strategy and how I'm thinking about, you know, really trying to return a lot of money this year in my portfolio is, is building out a portfolio that is simple. I think that's like my key word for this year. Simplification. I think, you know, in the past I've potentially overcomplicated things, try to add all these altcoins, really chase different things and it's very hard to know when to sell and get out of different, different positions. I've got quite a, you know, a simplified portfolio and really the way I'm thinking about this year is really using, you know, bitcoin is that savings account. You know, as I have additional cash on the sidelines for my salary, my business, I'm literally just moving that into bitcoin. I'm stacking as much bitcoin as I can. I think in the future bitcoin's going to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Potentially this cycle we're going to go to 150k. But ultimately from the wealth creation play, Bitcoin's up 140% in the last 12 months. Like in any other industry would be over the moon. But in crypto we're like upset and frustrated that, you know, we're not making a gazillion dollars in like a week. So, you know, number one is I'm using bitcoin as a savings account. You know, we don't hold a Lot of cash, personally moving any additional profits and, and money that I have from my salary, as I mentioned, into bitcoin. I'm stacking Solana and Sui from my next gen Layer one plays. I've got a little bit of AI in terms of prime. I have a big stack of ETH that I've been, you know, holding for a long, long time. I do, you know, I have no, you know, no opinion on, sorry, I have no motivation to sell that right now. And I also have, you know, a lot of defi. I have a lot of other sectors that, you know, meme coins for example, that yes, have not performed well to date but there's nothing giving me the, you know, the indication that these won't perform in the future. Like if Ethereum was outperforming and we're going on this massive sort of, you know, eth BTC chart inverse, you know, and these assets weren't starting to perform well, then I'll be changing, changing my mind. But like this is an ugly chart. Like Ethereum has been underperforming bitcoin for essentially three years now. But if we've seen in previous cycles, this can change really, really fast. Like if we, if we go back to like 20, 20, 21 where we went on that huge, huge run against Ethereum, we had a huge altcoin season. That's where you're really going to get those moves. And it's probably going to be the back half of this bull market, right? I still think that's going to happen. It's going to happen. Once bitcoin hits those levels of maybe 130, 140, 150, money starts to rotate down, they get into altcoins, then we start to see an altcoin season. That's when I think those defi plays, you know, the meme coin plays, the AI is going to really start to run. And again I really want to stress that the main point here is that we've got the most pro crypto president in the US at the helm right now. He's just started, let's give him a little bit of time. He's really going to want to make sure the market starts to move. Unfortunately, overnight we saw that they weren't going to decrease interest rates and Kutty hasn't ended yet. So quantitative tightening essentially when they try and restrict the balance sheet, that's not favorable for crypto. Once we start to see quantitative easing, we start to see the money pre defiring, that's when bitcoin really starts to explode. And if you've seen the M2 money supply chart, it's essentially when the balance sheet of the government grows, bitcoin grows. We're not there yet. Like, this is not the, you know, not favorable conditions for bitcoin or crypto yet. Bitcoin still ran where it is. Altcoins are not really in that category because they're, you know, so risk on. We're not quite there yet, but I do believe that will come at some point this year. Trump has promised that he's going to, you know, lower interest rates, although he doesn't have complete control over that. I really do think he's going to put a lot of pressure on the economy this year because he wants to be the president that you, it gets the economy going. He wants to be the guy that's remembered for changing the last four years and how, you know, the market really hadn't performed that well. He's going to be, you know, sort of indicating his performance based on the economy and the market. And, you know, the last few days, obviously we saw the thing of deep sea. Dax put out a great sort of, you know, thread here on like, you know, the, the ChatGPT competitor and had a bit of a sell off with the stock market. I think Nvidia had one of the biggest sort of losing days in its history. You know, we're still very heavily tied to the macro stock market and crypto is one of the first things to sell off because it's so liquid. Right. And you can, you can get access to a 24 7. So we're going to get that volatility. But I think that really, really, really important. I'm seeing a lot of frustration, a lot of people getting impatient and worried and concerned that, you know, things aren't going up and, you know, we're not seeing all these sorts of, you know, returns really quickly. But it's really important to step back. Like if you look at this sort of monthly chart over the last year, like this is the bitcoin chart, we've barely had a correction at all. We're sort of just in a consolidation period, you know, on a smaller time zone. Yes, we're having these sort of smaller corrections. Yes, altcoins are performing that well. But if you've got that longer term time horizon, Trump is in administration, he's signing crypto executive orders. Nothing has really been done yet. It was more of just an announcement of an announcement. They're bringing together, you know, digital asset people to start to think about the rules and how to Protect crypto companies. The, the, also the other big one, the SAB121, they're actually now going to be allowing banks to be custodying bitcoin and allowing like, you know, you know, people to be able to buy crypto and bitcoin in their brokerage account. This is massive in the us. Not really normal for here in Australia. Like, you don't really log into your combank or your ing and start buying stocks. But, you know, like in the us it's a very common thing to be able to do that in your brokerage account and to be able to do that with bitcoin is going to add more credibility, more trust and I think more and more people are going to start to do this. So again, I think it's important to remember that I think where people are going wrong is, you know, portfolio allocation. You know, if you've got, as I mentioned at the start, a shitload of old coins in your portfolio and you don't have a lot of bitcoin, yes, you're going to be underperforming and you're probably not going to be, you know, looking at portfolio and going, wow, you know, I'm pretty underwater here. It's really important to stack that bitcoin and back to like, how I plan to make my money this year is really stacking as much bitcoin as I can. Using my bitcoin as a savings account. Really not worrying too much about my altcoins. Yes, I've got a good altcoin allocation, but it's not the time for those things to be performing well. You know, bitcoin is doing well. The altcoin season will come, but we're going to need to see quantitative easing starting. We're going to need to see bitcoin really rally and money start to flow down before that really happens. So again, altcoins not quite there yet, but again, the big ones for me and the trends, I think are going to really push out next year. I think it's going to be a big one. We're starting to see as well. Like, even from a DEFI perspective, what makes me so bullish still is like Trump's buying a bunch of defi in his portfolio and we're even seeing like Coinbase for example, their lending product. If you actually look inside their lending product, they're actually using DEFI within their, their borrowing and lending arm, which is really, really exciting. So, you know, lending defi starting to, you know, start to be pushed into the mainstream. We've got you know, block earner in Australia as well. Coinbase starting to get on board, starting to get the idea of being able to like lend against your crypto and using crypto as an actual asset to do that is really exciting because that's what happens in the traditional world. And the further crypto becomes more of a traditional investing space, the more clarity we're going to get, the more mainstream we're going to get, the more, more investors we're going to get, you know, come in the space, which is really exciting. The regulation bit, as I mentioned before with Trump, that's a big tailwind as well. We haven't had that. It's been such a gray area. We've had Gary Gensler just firing the whip and just suing whoever and whoever he wants, getting that executive order across, getting the crypto, you know, I guess advisory, the people around him, you know, David Sachs and the likes. That is massive banks being able to hold crypto because they're actually know that they can do this and we can have builders in the US actually getting behind it. Massive, massive, massive news. And even Trump pushing the idea of like us based cryptocurrencies potentially being tax free. Like, are you kidding? Like that's, that's so bullish. Like we've got a lot of these things that are happening. But I think again, being in crypto it sort of wise you to be so like minute to minute, day to day, oh my goodness, the market's down 2%, you know, throwing the tower. Let's step back and think about what's to come, like what's coming up. Let's be patient. Let's remember that not everything happens in a day. And this is like, this is crypto. Like if you're selling here and you're worried, you know, this is, you know, you don't deserve to make the returns that you get in crypto, man. Come back to 2018, you know, when the market was literally like dead, no one gave a flying for hoosah. Bitcoin went down to like $3,000. Literally. It was just like dead in the water. Because US$104,000, are you kidding? You know, we hit all time highs like 10 days ago and yet everyone seems to be bearish and just like just over things. So I think simplification Next gen layer one Solana Sui. You know, I'm a big believer in eth. Yes. Have you have your altcoin allocations? I'm personally not investing too deep right now, to be honest, in the altcoin space. Is probably a good time to buy where, where we are in prices. But you know, for the time being like I'm just happy with, with my old coin positions already, happy to just continue, as I said, using those bitcoin savings account, you know, I've got a good allocation on those next gen layer ones, I've got my AI, I've got my meme coins. And as we start to see, hopefully over time inflation rate starts to slow down, maybe we start to see quantitative easing, that's when we're going to start to see them, the market really rally and then the altcoins are really going to go. So you know, overall I really just want to make it clear that I think patience is massive. Patience is really important. Don't overcomplicate it. I think 2025 is going to be a massive year for crypto, but it's not going to be a massive year for you if you continue to over allocate in altcoins. You get worried, you chase trends, let the market come to you. You know, we've got a long year ahead, we've got a great administration now. There's a lot of tailwinds overcomplicating it, chasing altcoins, getting too concerned and over trading is going to be the reason why you're going to fail this cycle. So take a step back, stack your BTC. Be happy with 140%. Holy moly. Even if we just held bitcoin right, be happy with 140 cent. Unbelievable. All coin season will come, we will have a rally. Stay patient, don't give up. Hopefully you like this video. If you like it, please let me know in the comments, what other videos you like or any comments you have on this video. Any other thoughts?
