LIVE URGENT BRIEFING: The 2026 Crypto Correction

In this live urgent briefing, Ben Simpson and Matt, Collective Shift’s Director of Research, guide viewers through the ongoing 2025‑2026 crypto market correction—approximately a 52% decline since mid‑2025—and explain why the next 12‑24 months present a strategic entry point. They connect the macro‑economic backdrop of US debt expansion, fiat debasement, and inflation to the rising appeal of scarce assets like Bitcoin. The discussion highlights the convergence of generative AI and blockchain, positioning crypto as the payment and data infrastructure for AI agents. Risk‑reward dynamics are framed around market cycles: buying at panic‑induced bottoms offers the highest upside, while euphoric peaks carry maximum risk. Technical analysis focuses on Bitcoin’s 200‑week moving average as a historic value zone now being approached. Institutional developments are detailed, including BlackRock’s $2.2 bn tokenized fund, Uniswap’s partnership, and the upcoming US “Clarity Act” that could legitimize crypto. The hosts outline a three‑pillared portfolio strategy—Bitcoin as the core, ~30% allocated to DeFi stable‑coin yield (7‑10% APY), and ~20% to high‑beta AI‑related altcoins such as Syrup and Hyper Liquid for asymmetric gains. They stress the imperative of self‑custody via hardware wallets to avoid exchange failures, and introduce AI agents that can autonomously trade on‑chain, heralding a new “agentic economy.” The briefing also details Collective Shift’s business model: sharing a live, audited portfolio with members, offering high‑touch coaching, one‑on‑one strategy sessions (limited five platinum spots at $15,000 / year), an accelerator tier, and a suite of community support channels (WhatsApp, in‑person masterminds in Sydney and Miami, virtual summits). Real‑world case studies—such as a member who turned a $9 purchase into $63 in a day, and an elderly couple who paid off their mortgage by following the portfolio—illustrate the tangible impact. The session concludes with a Q&A covering market cycle timing, investment psychology, and practical logistics for onboarding.

Sa. Sa. Sam. Sa. Sam. Sa. Sam. Sa. Sa. Sa. Sa. Sam sa. Foreign. Hello, how are we all doing? Hopefully you can hear me loud and clear coming from Western Australia. Today we are hosting from an Airbnb, so hopefully the tech and Internet and everything is coming through loud and clear. Let me know in the chat if you can hear me, folks. Welcome in, everyone. Hey, Cam from Queensland, GM Oscar, GM Kobe. Let me know in the chat, folks, but you can hear me loud and clear also. Where are you tuning in from already? 230 live. Let's go. It's gonna be an awesome session, folks. So lots to cover off. We're doing a bit of an urgent briefing on the market where we are, what are the opportunities, what to do from here. Kobe, will Travis be joining? Unfortunately, he's actually a bit sick this morning, so we've had to, we've had to call up someone. Even better for you, we've got Matt, our director of research, who's taken his place to talk about the markets. Hi, Isabella from Brisbane, Josh from Mississippi, Michael Strandford, the coldest place in Queensland. Fantastic. Kick off in about 30 seconds, folks. 250 live already, which is brilliant. Really looking forward to today's session. There's a lot to cover off and we haven't done one of these sort of, you know, more urgent market, you know, crypto correction topics a little while. So I'm excited to get in and talk through where we are in the, in the market, obviously, you know, with everything that's going on and talk a little bit about how the world is shifting and changing, especially with everything that's going on with AI and tech stocks selling off and all. Markets really at the moment are in a bit of a holding pattern and bit of free for all. So I want to talk about the opportunity that we're in and why we believe this next 12 months is going to be really, really opportunistic for those that can take advantage. Now, I might bring up Matt if he's ready to go, our director of research. How are you, Matt? Good to see you.
Hello. Hey, Ben. Hello, everyone. Joining in. Great to see so many here. Nearly, nearly 300 people joining live and we will be getting into some great, timely topics. I think everyone is wanting to know what on earth is going on in markets in general, crypto in particular. But yeah, we're seeing disruptive changes in the past few months and I think history will look back on January and February 2026 for many reasons that we'll get into conversations. I'm happening a wild at the moment with regards to just advancements in tech in general, in AI.
Yeah, wild times, Matt. And the intersection really of crypto and AI is the thing that I'm most excited about. And really the things we're going to be covering off today is around a post I made to our members yesterday around what I'm calling the great repricing the Global Reset. And I spoke a lot about how the new wave of technology, particularly AI, is changing everything. And for a lot of people we're kind of on the cutting edge of it, but a lot of people still just getting their head around what even is AI and how to utilize it. This is moving at such a rapid pace that the AI technology is building new technology that only AI can build. You know, we're essentially seeing humans now, you know, in so many different sectors starting to be laid off and repriced and you know, normal tasks and jobs and everyday businesses are completely changing. And that's why we're seeing such big sell offs across all markets. But what the most exciting part of all of this is that crypto is actually at the forefront of all of this. And blockchain and you know, AI is, I think this is kind of the zero to one moment and I think for the people that can take advantage of it, are going to be, you know, in some of the best positions, you know, over the next, you know, 12 to 18 months. So very excited to jump into all of that today. I think really where we're at, you know, just broadly, I've been in Crypto now for eight years. I do believe this next 12 to 24 months, for those that can take advantage of this next evolution of technology, will create more digital asset asset millionaires or digital asset growth and wipe out more unprepared investors than I've ever seen before. And I think that's the point I want to talk about today. It's not only preparing you for this next period in the future, what that holds, but also updating the old playbook of investing. It's completely changed. All right. And that's really what I want to get across to all of you today. And Matt and I are going to talk about that in today's session. Sorry, I'm losing my voice and a lot of talking and yapping. We're actually on our collective shift off site. We've been doing a lot of strategy and talking about, you know, the growth of this sector and a lot of features that, you know, really people need to be learning about. That's, you know, essentially what we're going to be talking about today. So where a lot of you probably you've seen me online, you know, social media, maybe you've some of your members, some of you been, you know, following us a little while. You know, actually maybe let's just start with that. If you throw in the chat a number to represent the amount of years you've been in crypto, like just put in the number one, if it's your first year, two, if it's your second year. Love to know just in terms of your experience in crypto, that will really help. Welcome man for New York Decentralized Kobe's fourth year. Fourth to Jamie fifth one four four eight Michael. Bit of an OG Jack too. Brilliant. Awesome. Isabella. Yep. Cool. So a lot of you been in crypto for a little while, right? And you know, if anyone's been in the space for probably the last 18 months, Matt. It's been a pretty brutal, brutal period of time. You know, the market's down 50% and you know, I definitely feel the pain. I feel the pain. You know, we've been through many corrections before, but you know, really it's about updating that strategy and that's exactly what we're going to be talking about today. Matt, do you want to give a little bit of introd introduction on. On yourself? I don't have a. An interest life for you, unfortunately, because I had Travis. Yeah.
Yeah.
You want to talk about a little bit about.
Yeah, Too easy. Yeah, I. Yeah. Matt's. That's the name. Obviously. I lead the research team, so Director of research at Collective Shift, leading the team of analysts to really create content and form opinions on the state of the crypto market, which, you know, I've been doing this now for, for eight years, but as the years have gone on has been blended in more with understanding what's driving the global economy and what factors are there for impacting people's appetite for risk. You know, we've always been consistent and transparent in saying crypto is one of the riskiest, if not the riskiest asset class out there. It doesn't mean therefore you should stay away from it. For certain investors it does. But certainly with risk comes opportunity and monitoring the global economy for the appetite of risk and the changes in investors. Risk appetite is a lot of what I spend my time doing these days and still spending probably an unhealthy amount of time, Ben, looking at altcoins and things like that over the years, helping investors make the most of those altcoin opportunities when the market conditions are Correct. So, yeah, we built a really strong community and growing community of members over the years and very proud to have taught thousands of people and introduced them to crypto and really been with them through the journeys of the ups and downs in crypto. So got a lot I can share on where things are at and looking forward to getting into to it.
Brilliant. Now, just today, folks, the game plan is we've got 90 minutes together. Matt and I are going to go through some content, a little bit, sharing about, like, you know, where we are in this correction, you know, how the market is changing, what assets we're looking at, how the strategy should look as an investor that we believe right now, how our outlook and how our portfolio is structured. And then also if you're looking to get into crypto or maybe you're looking, you got some capital on the sidelines, you know, that's really the opportunity that we see over the next 12 months. We wanted to share about today for you all and really what we're unlocking here, folks, is like a bit of an unlock from, you know, what we've been talking in our, in our client platform, our membership group now for a little while, full transparency. You know, today's going to be a heap of value. I want to just try and help as much as I can during this period of time. Matt and I are going to answer some questions at the end. We've got a couple of giveaways as well for all of you staying on. So we'll give as much as we can. Obviously we can't cover everything. And also the implementation of this strategy is something that we do as a business. So I'll share a little bit about that later on at the end, or I might even get the guys just to share a link for those that sort of want to learn about how we work with our clients. I'll talk about that at the end. We've got a few spots left, which I'll chat to that later on. But yeah, full transparency. I just wanted to make sure you guys are kind of sitting there thinking what's going to be spoken about today. There's gonna be content talk about what we do as a business, and then we'll get into some Q and A at the end. So let's get into it. I think the, the core thing that I want to start with is, you know, really the world is changing and I've never seen the pace of innovation that we're seeing right now at a speed ever before. The last I remember this period was bitcoin When I first discovered bitcoin, like nine years ago, you know, I've got this amazing and also not amazing thing called adhd. And when I learned about bitcoin, I essentially went on a six month rabbit hole. I don't think I left my bedroom for six months to learn about bitcoin. And I feel that now with AI. And it's beautiful when these two things align because AI and crypto is really the intersection of, I believe, what the future holds now, where we are right now in terms of the market and a lot of you in the market right now, as you just shared in the chat, we are in a very solid correction. And if we look at the charts, there's no other way about it than knowing that the pain is felt across all markets, but particularly bitcoin and crypto. And ever since pretty much the middle of 2025, we've been on from top to bottom right now, like a 52% correction. All right? And if you're new to crypto, you're probably going, holy shit, this is absolutely crazy. Like, you is this normal? And it is. The game we play in crypto is risk to reward. And, you know, the last deep correction we had was after the 2021 bull market, Bitcoin went down 80%. All right? And my first real big entry point to crypto, I've been in the market since, you know, way back here in 2017, but I took most of my money that I had and I actually invested during this dip here. So not only after Bitcoin retraced 66%, I invested heavily, sort of late 2018. So after it had been down 68%, it then went down another 55%. And that's something people like. You know, I know it's a very basic thing, but, you know, sophisticated investors, a lot of people, you know, that have been in the markets for a little while understand this. But if you're new to crypto, just because something's gone down 60% doesn't mean it can't go down another 50%. All right? And that is a painful lesson that you can learn when investing in the wrong time in the market that you can get really, the value can be wiped out pretty rapidly, but on the way back up, just like the pain is felt in those depressive periods, the way up is just as magical. And that is really where crypto, unlike any other market, gives you this opportunity to take advantage when there's real fear in the market. When the market sounds 70, 80%, this is where we have These huge, huge movements out of these accumulation periods to the evolution of sometimes hundreds of percent, sometimes thousands of percent. This was where I made most of my money back in 2021, was accumulating in this period, back in 2019, 2020, into the metaverse. And back then, the metaverse was this new technology that no one really understood. Everyone thought we were going to be all living in VR land. And the metaverse wasn't even a term when I was investing in that back in 2008, 2009. This is a cryptocurrency sector. For those of you that are around, you would have remembered Mana Decentraland. There was a few others, Matt. There was heaps of them. These projects.
Sandbox, Sandbox, Snoop Dogg, Adidas. Adidas bought Virt and various other leading companies in retail and consumer. It was just everywhere. And then Facebook obviously rebranding to Meta was the catalyst.
And yeah, Facebook renamed to Meta. And then. And we went on this crazy run, right? And you know, I was able to take profits out 20, 30, 40x from where I entered because I had that foresight of upcoming technology, the innovation, the trend, the narrative and investing early. All right? And this is what very basic investing requires. All right. This is very important to understand, not only in just investing in general. And I know a lot of you actually just maybe just for my knowledge in the chat, where have you made predominantly your wealth? You know, if you, if you're comfortable in sharing, you know, is it stock market, is it business, is it your career? You know, just let me know in the chat. Just like, just, just very interested to know because a lot of you that
follow me, real estate, if they're in Australia.
Yeah, property actually probably good one countries.
So rent vesting is also a big thing. Right. So yeah, it could be stocks as well.
Property. Career. Career, yeah, lots of property as well, especially in Australia. Now this is, this chart here that you're seeing here is a very common. Yeah, lots of career. Property. Property, yeah. Great. This is a. Josh, some paper out. No crypto yet, Matt. I don't think anyone's made any money on crypto in the, in the chat. So hopefully we know a bunch of people today.
Yeah, true.
So this is like, you know, a common chart that, you know, you know, at fundamental level, you, you understand, right? In investing there's, you know, excitement, there's optimism, there's euphoria.
Right.
And in euphoria, this is the point of maximum financial risk. Right? So we go to, back to this chart. Where is the maximum point of financial risk? All right? Do you think it's at the bottom of this chart or the top? Okay, of course it's the top. Right? The point of maximum financial risk is when everyone is euphoric, all right, when everyone thinks it's going to the moon, when everyone's making money, when it's all like, you know, sell your house, sell your kids, let's go buy crypto. Like, that's the point of maximum risk, all right? It's a very obvious thing to be saying, but a lot of people don't understand that or feel that they need the confidence of markets moving exponentially higher to buy. That is the obvious wrong time to be getting in and buying, all right? The maximum point of financial opportunity is after depression, after panic, after capitulation, and at this complete bottom here, all right? Despondency. This is the complete, you know, utter apathy.
I don't care.
I don't care. It's going to zero bitcoins, a scam. You know, stuff this. You know, that is the time of maximum opportunity. All right, but it's also the hardest point, isn't it, Matt? To actually execute. Like, psychologically, this is the hardest point to invest in because it feels the worst.
Yeah, you're doing the. Yeah, you're doing the counter to what everyone is. Is doing or what everyone is saying. And I would even. I would even argue, like, we obviously prioritize and do a lot of content and, you know, repeating ourselves on. On this idea of risk and reward, you know, and. And even that comes into consideration, like, when things are euphoric, it's like, what is. Has the reward, potential reward in the short term diminished? If that's a belief, then, hey, the risk reward just is not. The odds just, like, aren't really in your favor. And we do a lot of talking about probabilistic thinking, you know, not deterministic, in other words, not waiting for a price to hit, to sell everything or to buy everything. And as conditions get more euphoric and everyone's excited, the reward comes down, the risk even comes up as well. And the risk reward, it's just like. It's just not in my terms at the moment. So just hold off buying. And the opposite we can get into today as well, is very much starting to come into it right, where if we think the risk is more or less the same, that the reward, potential reward is now, you know, getting enormous, then, hey, the risk reward starts to get a lot more in your favor. And that's the story of, I think, 20, 26 deciding when that, when that sort of shift does come, Ben. But yeah, risk and reward go hand in hand. And in a market like as emotional as this, like having that front of
mind is, is critical totally. So to, to kind of, you know, put that in perspective of where we are now. You know, is, is bitcoin a better or worse investment at 125,000 versus, you know, 60,000? You know, it's the same asset, you know, it's the same product. Nothing's changed. Technically, nothing's altered. The blockchain still works, it's still the same asset as it was a few months ago. But price and value were two separate things. I think that is something that, you know, people that are in property and, you know, maybe are in your business or you own farmland, you understand, just because someone is willing or, you know, wanting to pay for something at a certain level doesn't mean the value of that asset is what someone's willing to pay for it. All right? And that is the same of where we are now. So crux of where we are is, you know, the opportunity and the risk to reward is at a really, really solid level. And for us, you know, one of the key sort of areas that we look at in terms of the market is, you know, the structurally, the 200 week moving average. All right? And that 200 week moving average is a level that, you know, structurally has, is held up for the entirety of nearly crypto. And that's what we call the value area. And we're heading into that value area now, and it's what we want to talk a little bit about, you know, in terms of taking advantage of that in today's session. So that's the yellow line here. You can see, hopefully you can see that this is the 200 week moving average, all right? And that's that level that holds up, you know, traditionally as a really great area to be accumulating bitcoin, but also starting to take a bit more risk if you knew, you know, in entering capital in the markets or if you've got an existing portfolio, starting to understand when the right time is to actually start to dollar cost average back in. All right, and that value area was the same that we saw back in 2023, all right? And we are heading into that area right now, and that is why we're doing today's session. So to talk about more broadly the big shift that's going on, because I want to take us, I want to zoom out for a second. Go, okay. Crypto is just a part of A slice of the macro finance landscape. All right, we go back right to the 2000s. Matt, this was. You and I were just a couple of young chaps back then. The value was primarily driven by factories, oil, land, manual labor. Like it was the, you know, economic revolution that we're going through into, you know, the 2000s, into 2020 when the Internet was born, right? And then code and scale and value and the value driven by software companies and SAS companies was created, you know, Facebook. This was like the Web2 iteration. And where we're going into now, where, you know, the evolution of AI agents, autonomous intelligence, is the idea that this is a cognitive scale beyond what humans are even capable of, all right? And intelligence is becoming a commodity, all right? The traditional cost of a human, whether it's a software engineer, a researcher, an accountant, a copywriter, you know, these are now available to be replicated at, you know, 99% cheaper and now at a level that's even better with AI. And that is the crazy thing that's becoming a deflationary force amongst the world is that we are seeing huge, huge unwindings of stocks, companies across the board because of this revaluation and replacement of technology doing what humans do. All right? And this is not obviously across every single sector in the world, you know, services, you know, in person, things, you know, are still going to be there, if not even more valuable. But in terms of tech, you know, fiverr is one of the, was the biggest, you know, outsourcing companies in the world. The stock price is down 96% from three years ago. All right, Atlassian, one of Australia's biggest, you know, companies down 60% from all time highs. Dropbox, down 35%. IBM was down 12% in a day early this week. Like that was a 25, 22 billion dollars sell off overnight for IBM. This idea of AI replacing people is creating record high efficiency, automation and profits, and yet human headcount is being slashed. And that's the scary thing, you know, that's the scary thing. I think about my friends, my family, all of you guys on this call, my team, our clients, you know, the world is changing and the efficiency gains of AI is becoming undeniable. All right? And the displacement that's happening across so many different sectors is happening right now, you know, Commbank, you know, for those who are in Australia, recorded a record $5 billion worth of profit last financial year and they just laid off 300 people due to AI. Profits are going up for these wealthy companies, all right? And the human element is being Reduced costs are going down. All right, so what does it actually mean? Well, what's, what's happening behind the scenes is that when there's big uncertainty. All right, back to this point here. Guess who takes advantage of this the most? Not, not, not everyday people, not normal investors. All right, the institutions take advantage. The best. All right, in 2024, $53 billion worth of inflows, ETF inflows were going into bitcoin. We all heard this, right? That's not, you know, normal. That's what our normal sort of insights. But what happened recently is blackrock, one of the biggest institutions in the world really of capital, started investing into crypto and specifically tokens in the defi space. And Matt, this was just, you know, literally, I think Barnsie posted this. Yeah, a week ago.
BlackRock.
All right, Uniswap for those that I know is a DeFi project. BlackRock had just made a strategic investment into the Uniswap ecosystem for an undisclosed amount. Why are they investing into defi when everything's selling off? Well, it's very obvious back to this point. I'm just going to kind of keep bringing it back. We are in this panic capitulation period that has happened so many times before. And every time we get into this period, you get these massively underpriced assets because of this revaluation that's going on. All right? And blackrock, the world's large, the largest asset manager in the world, have a $2.2 billion tokenized fund, all right? They're not just building and buying bitcoin. They're actually building on blockchain rails, all right? And the repricing is happening in real time. And what tends to happen and what I believe is happening is that we get the denial, right? We get the capitulation where we are now, the institutions move first they move the market back up, then the mass retail arrive, all right? They buy once we get out of this period of maximum fear, they start to buy when the market starts to recover. All right? And then it happens again. And what happens every single cycle, Matt, that we see is the retail. Buy when it's too late and sell when it's fearful.
For sure. There's so many things I want to say, but like two, two things there, I think the Uniswap and blackrock news, I think was bigger than a lot of people recognize. Because if you have been in crypto for several years, you're so used to these high profile announcements amounting to nothing or to very little. Think of Polygon and Starbucks for those who were in Polygon and Disney, you know, back in the day, like they're high profile names in most of the time there's back end deals, compensation going on to win these brands over. But it can be very natural for us to dismiss news like BlackRock and Uniswap. But I can't understate enough that the details here are what matters. And unfortunately people just don't have time for details these days with TikTok and that rotting our brains. But Hayden Adams, the founder of Uni Swap, said that this partnership was the result of 18 months worth of meetings in Manhattan at Uniswap Labs, has an office in New York and obviously BlackRock has one, you know, near Wall Street. They met over frequently over 18 months to hash out this partnership. I just can't stress enough how much back and forth this is a massive deal compared to previously. In crypto you get these sort of just really news to try to pump an altcoin. This is just nothing like that. And it goes into our theme, right Ben. Of crypto transitioning into a new phase. Very much so the institutionalization of bitcoin and crypto more broadly. One of the most bullish factors I still have for bitcoin long term is I still think investors are heavily discounting the impact of these ETFs. They're still a very new instrument and the ETF sell off has been far less drastic as you would expect. When you look at the ETF numbers in terms of bitcoin holdings, they're like 10% off all time highs, which is astounding. If you told me that bitcoin would fall by 45, 50%, how much would ETF holders be capitulating? I would definitely wouldn't have said we are only 10% down from all time highs. That just really feeds into what you're saying. That this adoption of crypto is as fast and as prominent as I've ever seen. After living and breathing the space for, you know, this is my ninth year now and this clarity act that we have coming, all of these job openings happening with these crypto companies, we got stripe and all of that, mentioning blockchains on their earnings calls. It's like the most excited I've been in my career for crypto's future. Yet here we have the market doing what it's doing.
Yeah, it's history doesn't repeat but does rhyme. Matt. And you know I just brought up on the screen while we're talking there, this is some just literally you know, in the last few days, this is what is happening actually on Wall street in crypto. The amount of, like, household names on Wall street that are hiring and building out their crypto teams right now is actually wild to see. Amex hiring a senior digital product manager in crypto. PayPal, all right, crypto business development, Visa, crypto sales and partnerships. You know, BlackRock, you've got Morgan Stanley, MasterCard, you know, you're JP Morgan building a lead software engineer, blockchain developer. Like, you know, you don't have to look very far below the surface, below the headlines to really see what's truly going on. And, you know, it's, it's, it's why, you know, when you truly understand not only the technology that's, you know, happening at the forefront, but what I'm about to share with you in terms of what's actually killing your wealth, it become, becomes so obvious as to why Bitcoin digital assets are continuing to be the best option. And although some of you have invested and maybe not up on your portfolio right now, I've been through this period many times before where you've got to hold through this period, but know that this is really the opportunity to be able to take advantage and want to talk about that a little bit more, but I want to bring on, if we got the guys free or bring on David and Reese, who at the coal face, I guess, at the moment, you know, speaking with our clients. So David and Reese are part of our member growth team. And fellas, it's been a wild ride with the markets, but, you know, it's been a, it's been an interesting shift. You see, when the market retraces, the types of clients that we, we tend to see and work with more are those that truly understand markets and are more sophisticated in nature and understand that this is sort of the opportunity to, to take advantage. Dt I might start with you. Like, what's sort of the conversations you've been having with, you know, clients that maybe have an existing portfolio that are, you know, maybe struggling or down, and how the rebalancing and, and how the old strategies are just kind of not working anymore? Yeah, absolutely. You know, seasoned investors are very aware of some market conditions right now. There's a big fallback, but there's also a lot of huge opportunities as well. A lot of the clients that I've been speaking to have been quite successful in traditional markets like property, the stock market, and that's spanned over many, many years and decades. Right. And a lot of the time they're making their money from buying bits and buying the lows. And this is what we're seeing right now in crypto, massive opportunities now seeing a big retrace in the price of bitcoin from, you know, buyers of 125 down to 60s. You're getting a 50% discount on 100 Bitcoin at the moment. Right? So, you know, we were loving bitcoin at that price. We're loving it even more now because it's just a, for a lot of us in the space, that's hard. For a lot of people that are crypto, is it really difficult to wrap your head around big 50% RET space over a matter of weeks? But that's just the general nature of crypto and there's been much shutting on before. Know the opportunities in the space, this global shift in technology, the displacement of, you know, the system, the banking system, the current system, which is what the one that I'm speaking to is running a link. Dt. Sorry, sorry, man. I think for some people that I'm
gonna get DT to come into, into my room. He can come in for, for the betterment of everyone here. DT can come over and steal this, this beautiful crisp microphone. He'll be back.
That's all I do. Underwater there. But yeah, yeah, I'll try and translate that. But before I do, can we just give a shout out to Ben Erickson's comment about Beardless Map being back? Sorry, boys, something wrong with my AirPods. So, yeah, as I was saying, like, you know, we're loving Bitcoin at 125 a few months ago, we're loving it even more now. There's a big displacement happening now with the traditional markets and the traditional system. I think this is where the opportunities are. The clients that I'm speaking to now are quite savvy investors who understand the nature of retraces and buying the dips. Right? And this is a, essentially once in a lifetime opportunity in this space. So, yeah, I think the crypto strategy, the investment strategy is very different, but the fundamentals are very similar.
Right.
You're finding valuable products and valuable projects that are building in the space and buying it at a discount and really riding that wave. The strategy is important, the macro is important, and combining all of these factors is super important. So when I'm having these conversations and Reece can attest to this, we're speaking to a lot of traditional investors that are quite savvy. They want to understand how to do it properly, but they don't have the information, there's a lot of information out there and it can be quite overwhelming. So they turn to our researchers and our analysts to try and figure out what the next 6, 12, 24 months is going to look like while we're in this big transition phase with technology and currency. Yeah, 100%, man. I think obviously we're in the same boat. We're getting a lot of people which they just have the longer term approach now, don't they? I think like what I've noticed is more like I'd say probably in the last six months rather than the last kind of, I guess you could even say six years in crypto is just a way more sophisticated in investor that's like coming on not just with us here at Collective Shift, but just in general. And I think obviously you know, the fact, you know, having the likes of BlackRock etc involves, obviously brings that kind of legitimacy, legitimacy to it as well. And yeah, I mean look, as you guys mentioned, market's obviously pretty range bound at the moment. I think Simon in our analyst chat the other day mentioned, you know, we're chopping between 60 and 70. Nobody really seems to panic or is panicking at the moment, which is awesome. Which we've like Ben, dt, you guys know, we've never really had that before. You know, we're down like what is it, 55 at the moment. Yeah. Which is obviously, you know, in percentage terms pretty, pretty rough. It's even rougher when you actually see the monetary value, you know, but still, you know, no one seems to be really panicking, which is great. You know, we still have the enthusiasm and you know, long term I think a lot of people understand that this is an asset that isn't going anywhere know and it is sticking around and it is going to be much higher in 10 years. Yeah. And I think it highlights the importance of bitcoin as an asset. Right. Crypto and bitcoin are two very different things. When you look at it very closely, they all interlinked. But bitcoin in particular is so important. So that portfolio allocation and strategy is super important as well to nail. Especially if you're starting out and you've got, let's just say you've got $50,000 or $100,000 that you want to deploy into crypto today. What's the best way to do it? You know, should you be putting it all at once? Probably not. And what is the cadence, how should you be doing it and what does the market look like? And without having your finger on the pulse it's very difficult to bid with confidence and that's why having a really good team next to you is so important. That's a good point. I want to bring up Beck, who's our amazing client success manager Beck. By the way, this is Beck's first live session, so Beck does all of our one on ones with our clients. Great to see you back. Hello. How's. How's it been like in terms of speaking to some of the new clients that have come in when the markets are traceable? Maybe those that are new or just those that have kind of managing a portfolio that's down. Like what's kind of been your experience, you know, coming from, I guess the traditional world as well, before Collective Shift and now working with the crypto clients. Like, yeah, I'd love to hear just what you're seeing on the, on the coal face. Yeah, no worries. It's been really exciting. You know, the clients that I have spoken to, super excited, you know, understand what is, you know, going on and have a different kind of mind structured around what they really want in terms of their goals. So for everyone there, you know, I am the client successor success manager here for everyone out there and I will be your main contact throughout your journey with Collective Shift and I guess as a part of the Platinum membership, just to kind of let you guys in on a bit, you do get a 20 minute discovery call with me where I kind of go through and ask you key questions to understand your background and your investment goals. And then from there I create kind of a tailored action plan aligned with what you're working towards with regular check in. So for me it's been an amazing experience for the last couple of weeks and everyone that I've been boarded and I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you guys and guiding you through your next steps in your crypto journey. Thank you. Nailed that first, first session. 10 out of 10 audio. Absolutely crushed it. Thank you, mate. So yeah, these guys all work together in our, in our, basically our platinum program. So share a little bit about that later on. For those who are interested, if you want to get the implementation side. But I'll say thank you team and dt. It's great to be able to hear you on the, on the, on the main mic, mate. Thank you folks. If you guys need, by the way, any support or anything in the chat, these guys will be there to support throughout today's session. So thank you folks. Thanks. Cool. Right, we'll get back to the, the content. I'm just going to Drop a link in the chat. For those that want to learn a little bit more about what we do, you can feel free to take a look at that before we talk about that later on today. But I want to get back to the content. So, Matt, we spoke about really, the, you know, things are changing. The world is changing. I want to talk more about, you know, the silent killers and, like, what's actually happening below the surface. Because this is really why bitcoin and crypto is at the forefront, right? What's happening is the US national debt right now is at a unbelievably high level. They're adding a trillion dollars of debt every 100 days. All right? So while we all work for dollars, and I know a lot of you, you know, put in the chat that you generated, you know, a lot of your wealth from your career, the government prints it into oblivion, all right? Like, it is this mathematical theft. It's a silent killer, all right? The math of debasement. In just like 7% of real inflation, your cash loses half of its value in 10 years, all right? And that's also anything that's valued in cash, all right? So I know, as property as an example, obviously the asset grows over time. But if you take into account the true inflation due to debasement of currency, then actually, unless you're outpacing growth more than 7%, you're either staying break even or you're losing, all right? And that's really, really a hard pill to swallow when you think about, you know, your investments and how much money you have in different asset classes. If it's valued in fiat currency, you're getting that debasement, all right? And then you think about your savings as well. Like, this is a melting ice cube. And I'm not saying cash is bad. I'm saying that if you're holding or over allocating and just counting on your retirement, you know, based on, you know, the current rate of debasement, then the buying power continues to be melting, all right? And if you think about, like, what's available in the bank right now, like, you know, it's. It's wild to see how much, you know, or how little you can actually earn from a cash savings account. Like, you know, I'm not sure if anyone in the chat is getting more than 4% unless it's like a, you know, a longer lockup sort of term deposit. But if you're getting, you know, 4% from your cash savings, like real inflation, like true inflation, is probably closer to 7% of purchasing power, the real return is negative. Or even government bonds, even the S&P 500, all right, you're just getting a little bit over. So the thing that I'm trying to push towards all of you understanding is that the retirement strategy, and I think about this for my parents and family, the concentration of the S and P, which most of our retirement and SMSF and 401k accounts are diversified, is very highly concentrated in the top 10 stocks. All right? And the top 10 stocks are tech stocks. And guess what's happening to tech right now? It's a massive sell off. All right? And it's happening and at a rate that is faster than ever before and people are more exposed than, than they realize. All right? The retirement, the S&P 500, the big tech concentration and the AI disruption, right? It's, it's replacing and repricing people's financial future rapidly. And Matt, this has happened at a super rapid rate, right? Oh, you're on mute, man.
Yeah, it really, it really is. I think it's a big lead into sort of. And it's funny, I always do sort of joke in a way that I do expect Bitcoin to hit like $1 million in my, in my lifetime. But the I do sort of joke in a way, it's like, well, I, I don't know what, what that will be worth. Like, you know, I don't know when that will happen. And $1 million today is worth so much difference with Bitcoin was at a million dollars whenever that happens. So we got a good question there about like, well then why would you invest in anything if the US dollar is always being debased? And Bitcoin is often quoted in terms of US dollars, but it is a finite, I guess, resource. Everyone knows its scarcity is sort of baked into the actual code base and representing what it is. So again, if our vision and our outlook long term is that people will tend to flock towards something like Bitcoin and Also Gold, obviously 2025, the whole digital gold narrative for bitcoin proved to be way too early. I think over time people will start to put 0.51%, 1.5% in Bitcoin. And when you do that globally over time, that should strongly outperform US Dollars.
Yes. So that's actually a good point. So the three parts here of debasement, concentration and the old playbook is the enemies really of either killing your wealth or killing your upside. If I can get just maybe a message in the chat, what percentage of your current portfolio is exposed to, I guess, like either one or actually, no. Let me read from that. What percentage of your portfolio is diversified outside of traditional investments? Let's put it that way. So like traditional being, you know, property, you know, cash stocks, essentially. Like, you know, whether it's precious metals or crypto, what percentage of your portfolio is in crypto and precious metals? I'll probably put those are the two truest forms of hard money. Just interested to know just what percentage of your entire net worth is in crypto and precious metals as a combined percentage. 15%. 5%. 20%. Cool. 90% crypto.
Isabella, ride or die.
Ride or die. 10%. 10%. Yeah. Cool. And bank of America recently put out a piece around how they're now advising up to their high net worth clients that have zero exposure to crypto. No idea about whatever it is, up to 4% exposure to Bitcoin. But even it was a research firm out of the US I can't remember their name, put out a piece of just even a 15% allocation. Exposure to digital assets or bitcoin has outperformed the S and P over a long time. So a lot of people have different percentages of their portfolio in crypto. And obviously, the higher you know, your percentage of your net worth in crypto, the more, I guess, reliant you are to ensure that your allocation in crypto is correct. Right. And that's the hard part that changes so rapidly in crypto is that if you don't have the right allocation, your heavy altcoins or whatever it is, then things really shift. All right, now, why is the upcoming 12 months the most important period for bitcoin and digital assets? Well, we are seeing a big shift in the regulatory space. The Clarity act, you know, this is a new defining piece for digital assets on Wall Street. This is allowing and removing the SEC stranglehold and giving institutions really the green light. Yes, we've seen some ETFs, but Matt, this is a really big piece around US government and the strategic reserve, but also allowing bigger institutions and banks to come into the space with the Clarity Act. And that's what we're seeing with these hires we spoke about before. They are fronting this Clarity Act.
Yeah, I definitely subscribe to that. The growth of all these teams are very much these institutions, assuming this Clarity act gets and they can expand more aggressively into crypto and more confidently. And there are also several institutions that are likely have never touched crypto because they've awaited this regulatory certainty that something like the Clarity act will provide. So again, Crypto, you know, you've heard of it over time, but it's still very much like existed in this gray area in many jurisdictions and in the US in particular, it was very much regulation by enforcement. You know, by that they just had different agencies just calling the shots and just a lot of regulatory uncertainty. That's just a terrible experience for individual investors. But more importantly, really like individual builders or developers or entrepreneurs. And then on the big end of town also, they don't have any green light. To actually work with this technology for a lot of them in their risk assessment is like, well, no, it doesn't have any regulatory certainty. So the Clarity act is a massive piece of legislation. It's over 200 pages. It defines a lot of the crypto market structure in black and white. Finally, we can actually have some rules to everyone knows to play by. Yes, there was the Genius act that passed in the middle of last year that was only to do with stablecoins, though this one is much more comprehensive, and it's no understatement to say it's the most significant piece of legislation in crypto's short existence. So that is hopefully going to be passed, you know, in the next month or two. They're just sort of teasing out the final sort of issues on that. But, yeah, that would be an amazing piece of legislation to get through. As we've been talking about with members, we don't sort of bank on that being the reason to sort of end the bear market. But certainly it would give us more momentum when the shifts turn around in the global economy, having the Clarity act and that therefore, institutional adoption, additional institutional adoption would absolutely be rocket fuel for helping crypto in that next bull market.
Yeah, spot on, Matt. And that's really where like we're seeing, you know, from a, from an allocation perspective, you know, where does that capital go? All right, you've got 300 trillion in global real estate, 130 trillion in global bonds, 115 trillion in global equities. Like, it's over $500 trillion. Like, the amount of capital that's out there is, like, unbelievable when you think about it. And the crypto market cap right now is just around $3 trillion. So just a 1% rotation of this global asset class to go into, I believe, the hardest form of money in the world, which is blockchain software code and Bitcoin, that is a huge increase in the market cap of digital assets. All right. And if you just look at Bitcoin, you know, specifically, Bitcoin's only about you know, 1.5 trillion, right? So what, what we're getting at here, folks, is like we are at the, at the kind of cutting edge of huge regulatory unlocks. We've started to see the institutions, you know, start to come in. All right? But we're still at this, you know, adoption curve where we're still in this, like, middle phase here. Phase one is the early adopters. That's where, you know, a lot of us got into crypto years ago, you know, and we've got the portfolio. We're still like everyone here is the early adopters. Phase two, though, is where the institutions enter. And it always takes longer. You know, I thought bitcoin back eight years ago was going to change the world in the next 12 months. Took a lot longer for people to figure out what it actually was. Same with AI, all right, it's going to take a lot longer for the adoption curve to happen and play out. But once we hit this phase three piece, this is mass adoption. That's where the, the returns profile decreases every single time. All right? And that is why I'm really trying to push for you guys to understand that, you know, in terms of risk to reward, if I'm looking around and going, where should I, you know, advise and tell my friends and family to get into crypto? It's, it's now if you're brand new, now's the time to be getting excited because the risk reward is there and the tailwinds are just stepping up. All right? And Larry Fink, the CEO, BlackRock, he's the CEO of the largest asset manager in the world. They manage $10 trillion of assets under management. 10 trillion. That's three times as big as the entire crypto ecosystem. Like massive amounts of money. He talks about, he believes the next step going forward will be the tokenization of financial assets. So what does that actually mean? It means real assets, stocks, property, bonds, going on chain, which means going onto blockchain. And they be tokenized in a new way of being able to settle transactions in a decentralized distributed way. That's not required of the old school paper, you know, system. So how do you even get involved in this? Where you at? A lot of you have been in crypto for a little while, some of you brand new. You know, you're in different parts of the ecosystem. No matter where you're at, it comes down to this, all right? At the end of the day for me, you cannot beat inflation with a savings account. You cannot beat the tech bubble. All right, with normal S&P 500, you know, low to moderate risk retirement fund. All right? You must own scarce assets that cannot be debased, that have big tailwinds. All right, so that is where I think about where we're heading. And also like, just think about maybe your personal career. All right. I don't want to get too kind of, you know, you know, I don't want to get in that fear mongering piece because, you know, the world evolves and the things change and things, you know, optimize. But if you're, you know, at a desk job specifically, you know, is that going to change at some point? You know, will technology, will AI be able to do a lot of what you do in the future?
All right.
It's a scary thing to think that AI is the dumbest it will ever be right now. Right. You know, people think, oh, you know, it won't replace my job. It is the dumbest it'll ever be right now. All right. And Matt, we're seeing this at a, at a level like internally that we use in the team. It's like some of our, you know, you know, I guess tools, features, research, you know, we, we utilize this at a, at a very high level how, where it's going to be in 12 months time. It's like, it's kind of hard to even comprehend. Oh, it is.
Could talk a long time about this, but like, yeah, where it was even two months ago is just night and day difference. And I think people have prematurely, like written it off if they've used it 12 or 18 months ago and, you know, we just got answers that made no sense. I'd encourage anyone to just try it again and keep trying it throughout 2026 because, yeah, I just, for so many reasons better with all this uncertainty then, hey, what is still certain? It's the bitcoin blockchain continues to work just as it did at the start of 2009 when it started consistently building its reputation as a global decentralized network that we can have a store of value that is separate to this whole modern fiat system and how much society values that thing varies from time to time. But what's very clear is that over time, you know, people have invested more in it. I know Checkmate, who does on chain analytics for us and for our members, you know, often points to like, I think it's a realized cap. Yeah, how much, how much money people have invested in bitcoin the last time it has moved. You can actually, you know, track, you can track that. And over time People have put more of their dollars into Bitcoin, trusting it than they did five years ago. And that trend just continues to go up. So in a world like this, where it's super uncertain, it's still there, but society's value on it is very volatile, 100%.
So I want to talk about the solution right this now. It's like, okay, cool, Understood, Ben. You know, how do we actually escape this system? Just want to make sure that you're enjoying things so far.
This is available.
You're happy for us to continue on here. Just want to make sure the reading, the core points and this is all resonating and you know, just let me know in the chat, give me a yes if this is good. Want to make sure you guys are keen for this next part. Great. I'm a reasonable amount of bitcoin. Cool. Have you go cool? Yeah. Sweet. Okay, happy days. Let's get into the solution. So you know, how with all of these change, how do you manage this in your portfolio? Like, what actually is the, the impact and you know, how do you even adjust, you know, based on everything we just spoke about? Well, like at the core of this. All right, And I don't want to talk too in detail about this because I think everyone here understands this, but, you know, bitcoin is the apex predator. Bitcoin is the absolute scarce, hard cap asset, mathematically certain. All right. In a world of fiat printing, and it is. Bitcoin was created, all right, for this moment. All right. What was in the first block map of Bitcoin's blockchain? It had the newspaper clippings of. I can't remember exactly what it was,
but the money on the brink. Yeah, just a reference essentially to more just issues with modern money and questioning modern fiat currency. And it was, yeah, really came Bitcoin's launch. Some, some suspect people were waiting for it to be launched on, on a scenario like that. But it is just a very. Adds to the, to the narrative of what Bitcoin represents and is attempting to, to represent.
Yes. Great. All right. And then you've got the, the scarcity. All right. The scarcity is what drives the value and the ability for people to utilize it at a, at a global level. All right. You know, it's sovereign property. You know, no bank can take it off you. All right. It is unmatched in performance because it's the best performing asset in history because it's hard capped, all right. And the only, you know, true form of, of sovereignty and your ability to be your own bank is to opt out of the existing system. And this is, again, a lot of you already have crypto, so I don't want to like harp on about this, but, you know, the, the piece around, like just even holding this in your assets on an exchange, all right, it's still not your key, so. Right, not your Keynes, not your coins. If, if an exchange goes down like we saw FTX and in different exchanges over the last few years go down, you lose your Bitcoin, you lose your crypto. All right, we really want to teach you and we want you to understand that being your own bank is really, really, really important because being your own bank allows you to hold this no matter what happens. All right? And I'm not saying that, you know, I, I think any exchanges will go down, but we didn't think that four years ago when the CEO of FTX was on the COVID of the Forbes magazine. And then a month later it went belly up. So it's really important to store and secure your assets safely and outside of the crypto ecosystem. That's by having a hardware wallet, securing the seed, and being your own bank. The next part is around the future of where AI and AI agents, this is the next evolution of AI that's happening right now. It's already happened. AI agents are essentially what I spoke about to our members just yesterday, around AI agents are essentially creating and distributing their own strategies on their own. What that means is that these AI agents, they're autonomous. They're essentially, think of them as little digital robots that now have their own thinking, essentially is the best way to kind of, you know, simplify what they do. The first iteration of ChatGPT was you prompt. It would then analyze what you're trying to ask it and it will give you an answer. AI agents is you prompt and they go away and they think about what they need to do. They generate 10 steps to create the answer that you want. In each step of that process, it takes a version of that information and builds on top of one other so it can continue to get smarter. And the future of the agentic economy is AI agents trading and doing things on chain autonomously.
Right?
And that is already happening. You know, people are giving their agents money, you know, and going to trade, and they're going and making money online. All right? But AI agents can't open a bank account, they can't walk into a bank and give them their license. So that is happening on chain, it's happening on blockchains, it's happening on crypto, and that is the programmable intersection of where I believe the future is. Is AI and crypto coming together, all right? And utilizing on chain to generate income even in downwards periods, is one of the most, you know, obvious opportunities that we're in. Right now, 30% of my portfolio is in defi stable coins. I'm earning 7.5% a year. Some you can even up to earn up to 10% on DeFi stable coins. All right? No banks, no having to wait, no middleman, no paying the bank a bunch of interest. You earn all that interest yourself using defi, all right? The portfolio mix really is around having your hard money, your bitcoin, all right, that's your bedrock. Then it's having your yield. So being able to generate income without needing to use a bank and also earning way more than the bank will give you, all right? And then having that other 20% in the asymmetric growth areas, all right, we're looking at AI, we're looking at high beta altcoins, we're looking at different sectors where we're still able to earn an outperformance on our Bitcoin. Because the ultimate goal for me is to buy more bitcoin. How do I do that? Well, I want to be able to take advantage of different opportunities in the market for the best altcoins to buy more Bitcoin. And that's what we do. At Collective Shift, Matt and the team are constantly looking at opportunities to invest in and where these upside will be. Over the last 12 months, syrup and hyper liquid, two of my investments, I have my portfolio completely outperformed bitcoin and the others, which is the altcoin index. With that, I was able to take profits in syrup middle last year, took profits up 560% and now able to go do things with it. And now we're looking for those next opportunities. So if you get in the right altcoins, that 20% of the portfolio for us is about that asymmetric upside. And Matt, out of this period where this sort of reset, we know how quickly and how crazy these altcoins can move once the structure changes. And I guess that's the point of this whole conversation, is that risk reward now is starting to make sense.
Especially when you've got a sector as just full of new ideas and creations as this AI sector and the crypto overlap with AI and the amount of experimentation going on at the moment. That's one of several sectors obviously in the crypto market, but it's one that's capturing a lot of our Attention now for potential altcoin investment in a later date. I think clear that Generation 1 AI altcoins haven't worked or so far haven't worked. They had heavy losses, so thankfully we avoided those. But there is absolutely a new wave of effort to try to create altcoins and more importantly, projects that actually help people in society and then create value and then having a token tied to that. We're very much monitoring and doing research on those projects as well as other altcoins, of course. But yeah, these are the ones that give you asymmetric upside when the opportunity is correct. Obviously not all of them are successful. Just like startups and businesses, most of them fail. But you want to be cutting your losses. You will have losses and just cutting them can suck. But knowing that you have, therefore the ones that are winners can be way more multiples than and way more result in you having way more gains than losses. That's certainly been my story over the years. And many other successful crypto investors often have one, two or three altcoins that do amazingly well. And that's our job here at Collective Shift is to find those opportunities.
Yeah, and that was what you spoke about the other day, Matt, in terms of, know the, the AI sector and this is what we do with our, on our membership side. So, you know, again, I'll talk about that in a second. For those that want to actually be able to take advantage of the opportunities we're talking about and invest. When we, when we invest, we talk about these sectors that we're looking at in terms of, you know, what altcoins we're looking at and then more importantly, when to actually buy. All right, and that's, you know, where we, we talk about our portfolio, you know, more into detail. We actually share exactly what we're doing with our investments and when, and then people follow that because essentially, at the end of the day, what Collective Shift is, is just us sharing what we're doing with our portfolio back out to our members. They can follow along. And, you know, as an independent company, you know, that's the, that's the model we take when I do affiliates or, you know, paid ads or anything like that. So it's important that, you know, everyone knows that the way we model our business is that we do a good job with our portfolio. Our clients win, they are making money, and then, you know, any money we make, we can buy more crypto. That's really how it works, pretty simple. And if we don't do a good job well, then no one wins. And that's where we've obviously done so well in the last six years. But the intersection here, just to kind of wrap up this sort of AI and crypto intersection is that AI needs payment Rails, it needs verifiable data. And crypto has those rails that the AI can sit on top of and essentially be able to utilize to grow and do know transactions and payments on top of blockchain. And that's where crypto I believe is. At the starting point of that intersection is what's so exciting. And there's a lot of, you know, altcoins that we're looking at, you know, we're not investing, you know, into any of these projects from a timing perspective. You know, we're not far away but it's really about, you know, the research for us is allocating at the right time. But these are some, you know, some projects that we're looking at, you know, Bittensa, there's a few others that we're looking at that is around that intersection of AI and crypto and there's a lot of other sectors obviously we're looking at as well. But it's really about for us a collective shift is we're not buying hype. We ignore the meme coins, the celebrity scams, the short term noise. Like Matt, you and the analysts, it's about infrastructure and fundamentals. That's the core part of this. That's really the big difference that investors need to understand is that fundamentally strong projects will continue to outperform and you know, old altcoins, Cardano, you know, these older, you know, Polygon, all these older coins, you know, they are going to really struggle amongst this new tech cycle.
I think that's what's unique to crypto. Like you get the opportunity to invest in what are essentially private markets. Like they're businesses that have not yet found product market fit. It's as if you were able to invest in, yeah in startups in outside of crypto. And as I said, 90, 95% of startups fail over a three to five year period. The unique thing about crypto is you get to invest in them on the ground floor. The unique thing, another unique thing is that those tokens remain well after it's evident that the projects have failed to find product market fit. Maybe they've tried pivoting one or two times and still have a lot of cash to use on their teams and stuff because they raise so much. But they're like dinosaurs. Like they'll just continue to exist and the altcoin space is littered with those from past cycles. And we are very much of this belief of investing in the picks and shovels or in other words, just treating like, just viewing it like these, these. The altcoin space has grown up a lot. It's. It's investing in, on chain businesses, you know, and using all those similar metrics that you look at investing in outside of crypto. So yeah, what's the revenue like? What's the growth rate of the revenue? More importantly, what are the usage like? The usage metrics, the adoption metrics, what's upcoming for that altcoin? What's the composition of the team? What are the expenses in terms of subsidies and things like that? Is the revenue sustainable or is it just being propped up by token incentives? All that sort of stuff. And many more we look at now when we're looking to invest in any old coins. And that's why we repeat the same ones so much because we have ignored so many that are down 90, 95%. So we are always open to the idea that there are new projects like hyperliquid that come along and just start to dominate because they are challenging the older altcoins and saying, hey, you need to actually be doing something that not only finds product market fit, but secondly, arguably, more importantly, if the project is successful, does the value flow back to the token? There are countless examples of projects quote unquote gaining adoption charts up and to the right in terms of users and stuff, but the token price is just falling all the time. And that's because people can use that project solution but they don't necessarily need the token or they need a slither of the token and there's enough sell pressure on that token from teams and unlocks that ultimately results in the price doing extremely poorly. So yeah, this is a massive part of what we do day to day and it's a lot of filtering, a lot of calling out bullshit like in terms of altcoins that we come across. But yeah, hyperliquid remains one that's at the top of our list in terms of ones we are really excited for for the next bull market which may not be far away.
Yeah, brilliant, Matt. So, you know, to go back through, to be clear, you know, in terms of the protocol that we use or where you're at right now, this is kind of the steps I'd take to review where you're at. So the first one would be audit. Do a deep dive on your current portfolio. You know, what is the structure you have? Is it the same strategy? I just Mentioned with the percentages or are you overalllocated or under allocated in different areas like really audit and understand kind of where you're at in terms of what you're investing in. The next one is like, you know, build out the strategy and the strategy really is around, you know, are you allocating now? Do you have capital to allocate now to take advantage of, you know, back to that chart I showed you before. The maximum fear is the maximum opportunity. And then, you know, where does that sit in your broader, you know, net net worth asset allocation? The next one is the execution. You know, setting up your wallets, making sure, you know, you've got those defi wallets set up. You can use, you know, metamask, uni swap. Again, you know, these are things that obviously we teach and we can work with you one on one in that if you, if you don't have the time but you know, if you're on your own, you know, using metamask, using defi, you know, going and checking out syrup to earn it, you know, the, you know, the interest you can earn on your yield, staking some of your old coins if you're holding through to earn a reward. All right, but the security is really important. You know, you really want to make sure that cold storage is set up using a ledger or a trezor, making sure you're doing test transactions and you have two factor authentication on. You're not getting scammed. We talk to so many people that, you know, come to us after they've been scammed and it's horrible, right? You really want to be able to protect your assets because, you know, it's a scary place, the Internet and a lot of people unfortunately want to steal your money. And then the last one is just optimizing, you have to rebalance. And I think that's something that a lot of people don't understand, that if you're investing in this space outside of just Bitcoin, there is portfolio updates that you need to make and things change really quickly. And if you're not on top of that, you're not taking advantage of when things sell off and you're not rebalancing, then you can really lose a lot of value in your portfolio. And that's one of the biggest value points I would say of, you know, being able to outsource that time and let us do the due diligence for you, is that we have a proven six year track record that we do the work for ourselves and we share it with our clients. They can just follow along. All right. But if you are doing it alone, you need to make sure that if you are investing in different sectors, crypto moves extremely, extremely fast. And you know, the, the research framework adjusts based on when new tech comes out like we're seeing with AI. All right, so using that fundamental audit and that on chain validation is really important. That's probably one thing that I probably. Matt, you mentioned before with the on chain analysis like this is Checkmate, probably the world's leading on chain analyst. You're being able to see what's happening on chain and specifically seeing who's buying, what whales are selling, what short term holders are selling. This is a new form of analysis that traditional investors that are outside of crypto don't understand. And it's a beautiful advantage to be able to understand and utilize this research.
Yeah, picking up behaviors and patterns that are so cyclical and they're so repetitive because these human emotions, markets are emotional. And at the end of the day you can track how the average loss of a bitcoin, this is only for bitcoin, but it obviously has massive implications for altcoins. But yeah, you can easily track how, how much of a loss Bitcoin holders are in average or how the recent bitcoin holders, how much are they down and what's the likely point according to history that they end up just capitulating and just leaving. All of that and much more is sort of analyzed by Checkmate, who is world class, I would say as well, Ben, at on chain analysis and can help you, guide you through sort of these, these market cycles that crypto, you know, finds itself going through.
Yeah, yeah, spot on that. And that's really like the emotional cost that people get trapped into is like, you know, waiting for smart money to buy. They wait for confidence. Then the retail buyers and you know, hit euphoria. All right. And then the retail sells and panic and it's like this is the emotional cost of just being always late to the party. And we don't want you to be late because if you're late in crypto you can lose a lot of money. But if you're early, you can make a lot like it's, it's a highly leveraged asset class. All right. And we really want you to pivot and stop being that emotional money in crypto. And those traditional investment strategies that you use in property and stocks and things just don't work in crypto. It's completely different. You don't use EBITDA multiples, you don't use valuation metrics that you use in the stock market. It's very different. Volatility is a part of the game and we want you to start being the strategic money. Moving away from those headline reacting and chasing and panicking and really anticipating those trends and, and that's where I made my money. You've got to anticipate the trends and get involved before it becomes mainstream. All right? Accumulating during the quiet periods when there's sell offs, either holding through the volatility or following a strategy. And that's really the two paths that we're at. Continue staying the course, hoping the whole playbook works again. Hoping it just keeps going up forever. And we know that it doesn't. We know that a lot of old coins will never come back and hopefully your financial advisor figures it out one day or just accept the new reality that this is the, this is the new world that we're in. All right? We want to understand that this correction is a new way of defining that opportunity, whether you're new to crypto, all right? And it's a way of getting in or understanding that, okay, maybe the current portfolio I have in crypto, you know, isn't going to work and hoping is only going to continue to make it worse because hope is a terrible strategy. And I, we talk about this a lot in our group. You know, some of my best decisions was actually selling at a loss of some of my altcoins to get into better projects because looking back, they would have been down a further 80 or 90% and instead I was able to rotate into better projects and new tech that's done really well for me, like hyperliquid. All right? And accepting that new reality is sometimes the hardest thing to do, but the most important thing to do for your portfolio. All right, so before we get into some Q and A, I want to just show and sharecase. We are doing an invitation for those that are ready for path two. I don't do this anymore. But we're opening up because of the correction we are in right now, genuinely the opportunity we have. I've opened up a few spots on my calendar for a private one on one deep dive. It's an educational session, personal plan to navigate what's coming. And that's basically for five people. I've got five sessions we're going to do over the next seven days. So I only have time for these five people though, only for serious investors. And that's a part of our platinum program. So if that is you, if you are serious we'll put in a link in the, in the chat. You can go over and check that out, fill out the details. You do have to apply. We want to make sure it's a good fit. And you know, those five spots, I'll be doing a, an hour long, one on one session, so you can go over and check that out. Before we go into Q and A, I just want to make sure that, you know, beyond this session, you know, really take note of what we spoke about and know that, you know, it's, the space is moving so fast in terms of the investing landscape. You know, sat down with my partner the other day, we whiteboarded out our sort of strategy and net worth and, you know, how we're allocating capital and, you know, coming back to that point of, you know, the savings erosion, the retirement erosion, the old playbook is only unwinding faster and faster. All right, so I want you to understand that each week, each month it goes on, you know, the math just continues to get worse. So I want you to think about that seriously now and really be able to work on that and update your strategy based on where we're at. Because that's the most important part of, you know, taking advantage. When it does fear, feel the hardest, you know, the capitulation period, it feels the hardest to do anything. But remember that every single time we have these corrections that have happened many times in crypto is the point of maximum financial opportunity. Whether you are new to crypto or whether you are, you know, been in it for a little while, you know, updating that strategy is hugely important. Right? So I'll put that link in the chat. Beyond that sort of one on one, first five people that we work with, you know, really for those of you that are serious and you know, want a bit more institutional grade research, high touch support. I want to talk about this for just a couple of minutes on how we work with clients. We're getting a lot of messages from people about, you know, is now the right time to get in? Should I be looking at my portfolio? How do you guys even help? You know, we have a very sort of small, you know, allocation of people that we bring on each month because we work really closely one on one with them. And the reason we're doing this session is one, to educate you as much as possible, two, answer as many questions as we can to help. And three, you know, for those of you that are serious, really help understand that this is the time to really, you know, make the, make the biggest changes. The biggest I Guess upside to what's, what's occurring in the market.
All right.
And the professional infrastructure that we've created is really about, you know, research, education, support. And working with Matt, myself, the team of sort of 18 people now, Matt, so DT and Reese and Beckti you mentioned earlier, because most people fail in crypto because they don't have the time, clarity, understanding or research to invest upon. You know, and a lot of our members, you know, like Andrew as an example, came to us with like this overwhelming amount of noise and information. And you hear it, you see on social media influencers all the time. There's so much stuff that goes on online and it's just so hard to kind of cut through. It just speaks about like how we're able to cut through and just give the honesty and clear approach. All right. And you know, the analysis and detail we provide in the tough moments is why we've saved him a heap of money and headache. And the future growth is, is, is to come. All right. And the, the institutional data that we, you know, we get as a company, we, we invest a lot of money like we're spending 3, $400,000 a month on our team and our data to get the alpha and the insights with the best, you know, information so we can pass it on to ourselves to invest and then also our clients so they can execute as well. And that was one of our members actually, Bill. This was a few months ago, this, when Trump came out, probably middle of last year, you know, throughout WhatsApp, he bought it at $9 when it was mentioned and sold at $63, made $120,000 in a day, which is wild, right? That's obviously not something that happens all the time. But when you get the right insights and the data before things reach the public, before it hits the mainstream, you can take advantage.
All right.
And that's where that high touch support comes in back that you saw before. We have a full white glove service where we do concierge like tailored experience to really make sure that you're getting, you know, the right action plan and the right strategy. All right. And then you have one on one sessions every week for your first 30 days. And then we do quarterly check ins with your strategy to make sure you're in the right place. Place. And that's, you know, one of our partner members spoke about, you know, looking forward to turning to Travis. They made some changes to their portfolio today after the session and just feel more at ease with the allocations given the uncertainty and probably wouldn't have executed any of it without the value information. So a lot of people come to us with existing allocations and don't know what to do. So having that like, you know, one on one time with analysts and our researchers can just make you feel calmer to these really the next part is just a WhatsApp community. So we have, you know, access to our platinum network. We have 400 high net worths now in our, in our group now, you know, and these are about long term partnerships and not only, you know, in WhatsApp but also in person. So we do two in person masterminds a year in Sydney and in Miami. You know, one of our members here just spoke about, you know, thanks for the info, I truly, truly appreciate it. This is the kind of info I sign up for. I'm a busy person, doesn't need to spend all time, spend all day looking at the markets. This is what he needed. And then you can follow the money. Another one of our clients, Martin, talks about how it's totally life changing, be able to just follow the portfolio and pay for our wisdom because what we do, we just share back what we've done with our portfolio that's returned about 111% on average over the last six years. That's our portfolio that's audited and then we just share it back. And that's essentially how the business works. We don't do affiliates or pay paid advertising. It's, it's, it's all, it's all on results. So for those of you that are interested, we put the link in the chat for the next 72 hours. As I said, we, you know, we've got a couple of things we're going to offer. If you want to take advantage of the first five people, I'm going to do a one on one with. All right. And then we're also going to accelerate for the next 72 hours some fast action onboarding for those that really want to just get involved and make things happen. So yeah, the first five people, you know, we'll get a one on one strategy session with me, we'll walk through the portfolio and go through and build out the next 12 months. So I can just help you in any sort of area you need. Experience, shares in crypto. We do two events a year for our in person events and at the end of the year we do a platinum, you know, party. Last year was in Sydney at an event venue and lots of drinks and champagne. We can offer you a ticket for your partner so your partner can come along. As well, our virtual member summit, we've got our own member conferences coming up next month. So you know, that's, you're gonna have guest speakers, industry experts, you're gonna get access to that as well. All right. Plus our operating bundle, all of our education, our research, access to the platform of all the operating systems and the fast track concierge, onboarding. So you get your own client success manager. Right, and then all the one on ones from there. So if you're interested in that, we'll put the link in the chat below. We've got 20 spots left for this remaining of the month. So we take a maximum amount per month and offer that to all of you guys the next 72 hours. The annual investment for the platinum is US$15,000 a year. We do have some different payment options available. Some people, you know, do it through their smsf, their company, they can, you know, do it through crypto. All right, and, and that's available, you know, all year essentially. And then you get access to all the one on ones. You get one on ones with the team, myself, weekly group sessions, WhatsApp, community and access and everything like that. If the Platinum is not a good fit, you're not quite there yet. We also have our accelerator program as well. So we've got a lower tier that can kind of get you started if you're interested in that. But really who we're looking for and who we work with primarily is those that have obviously the capital available, but are long term thinkers and, and think a bit broader than just get rich quick. You know, we're really looking for the, the folks that know that they can take action looking at that long term time horizon because that's where we can make the most results for our clients. So if that's of interest, again, links in the chat, you can go over, you have to fill out a form. Just let us know a little bit more about yourself. It's got all the details that I just mentioned of the Platinum program here and then down below, you'll just fill out this form and then you'll book in a call with one of our member growth team. All right. And that call is not about signing you up immediately, it's just a consultation call. So we want to get a feel for where you're at, understand your goals, your challenges, where you're trying to go to, how much of your crypto is part of your broader net worth, what are your challenges, what do you need help with? And then we'll build a custom path for you. So not every member is the same. It's not a course. We have a number of different options available. So if you're not sure even where to start and you just want to jump on a call with one of our teams, all right, that's the best place to go and figure out if it's a good fit. So we'll get into some Q and A. Matt and I want to just. Yeah, please send in your questions in the chat now about anything we spoke about today or the membership, crypto, whatever. We got some time. Matt and I can answer some questions.
Nice. We got one from Philip here. If Bitcoin is the original Lion King, but what are the thoughts on xrp, hbar and Algorand being adopted in user international finance and on chain tokenization of real world assets? Yeah, I view them as quite separate. As you said Philip, Bitcoin I think needs to be considered quite separately to altcoins as we said, I think for those unaware Bitcoin and stablecoins combined account for 70% of the overall crypto market, which overall the crypto market is quite small, full of opportunity but in times like these you've only got 30% shared by thousands and thousands of cryptocurrencies. So likes of xrp, hbar and Algorand, they've been around for a long time. XRP been around for eight years or nine years or so. I would say hbar and Algorand, I'm a lot more confident in my view I think they will continue to struggle. I'm talking about from a price standpoint. We're not interested in buying any Altcoins at the moment, but we're definitely heavily researching them. For now I just say hey, there have been businesses that have tried to get adoption in these spaces. They have got adoption. I think the extent to which they have has been underwhelming and the growth rate of their adoption has also been less than expected. Doesn't mean they can fail, doesn't mean they have to fail. But I think I need to see more from them to get excited about them as prospects for xrp they have a better chance than the other ones. But again you're now seeing increased competition in 2026. While the regulatory certainty will help entities like like Ripple Labs and XRP by extension you're also now that will also in another way increase the competition for xrp. You've got the likes of Circle with their Ark blockchain. I would encourage anyone to just Google Circle and Ark and then you've got Stripe with their Blockchain So Stripe is one of the largest payments companies globally. They're still private, so they're not on a stock market. But they are also building Tempo Blockchain which is optimized for payments and that will be coming out in 2026 with a lot of different financial institutions partnering with them and stuff. So a lot of competition coming for these sorts of altcoins that have been there in the past. And as I said earlier, I have a high level of conviction that the altcoin market is going through a process of change for various reasons. And I think the future altcoins that I invest in and we as a team invest in may not even exist at the moment because of this new paradigm we are entering and tokenization, real world assets, obviously a big trend that will continue. But the value capture is another thing that is still the jury's out on, on where that value flows to it and who's going to be the winner.
Yeah, great call, Matty. I'm just getting a couple of questions just in terms of the, the one on one. So yeah, I don't do one on one strategies anymore just because Head Head is in the market more so in terms of just the broader strategy. But we're opening up five spots for one on ones for those that, you know, end up joining, joining the Platinum. So I think we've just had a few calls booked already. Gabriela, welcome. I think you had a question as well, Gabriella. So you can start on the lower tier. Gabriella. Yeah. And then upgrade later. But you can chat to the member growth team. There's a range of different sort of payment options we can provide. So yeah, the team can have a chat with you on that call and see what's the best fit and sort of what's the best way to go about it. And Grant, with the total newbie, I'm looking at doing an smsf, but I only have a small amount. That's fine. Yeah, definitely. For sure. Grant, like getting the strategy sort and being able to like get into the market the right way. We see a lot of people that lose a lot of money doing it themselves end up paying a fee, whether it be, you know, buying the wrong assets or getting scammed or whatever it is. Like we want to get you set up. Right. And not following the craziness that happens online, which is, you know, a range of, you know, people screaming from the rooftops about, you know, crappy, crappy investments. So yeah, either, either tier is going to be the best for you, but that's all that's all available just over on this link. So again folks, to be clear, everything that's included is here on the page. And you just fill out this form. You go through. Just let us know a little bit about yourself, how much you're looking to invest over the next 12 months into the market. Your goals, your challenges. This gets us understanding if you're a good fit for the program. And if you're not a good fit, we can just let you know that it's not a good fit. And our lower tier starts at 5,000 a year. So you can basically choose once you're on a call with one of our team if it's a good fit. All right. And then once you go through, just fill out the details and then you'll book in a call on calendly. Just press the time that you're free. You jump on a video call with the team. It's pretty simple. They can answer any questions you have or you can shoot them across here.
All right, we're seeing a lot of questions coming through. Thanks for these everyone. Jack did send this earlier, so we did save this one. Jack. I've heard that, yeah, volatility will decline for crypto moving forward. We've seen that Bitcoin, you know, has the, has compressed like peaks and troughs as time goes on. That's what you would expect from an asset that grows so much. So yeah, I think bitcoin, I think what people do under appreciate is it still did do an 8x from cycle low to cycle high. So 15,000 to 125,000. Obviously very few if any people like did the exact trade of doing it all the way. But a 700% gain from cycle to cycle when Bitcoin was still very well known. I think people do underestimate that and I still think it can do multiples in the next cycle. So altcoins as well can still do that. But as we know, a lot of them basically all altcoins have underperformed Bitcoin over an extended time frame in terms of value capture there about payments and all of that? Definitely that's something that's being debated at the moment within the industry. You know, will all the value just flow to blackrock, you know, in terms of savings from tokenization, all these banks getting back, back end infrastructure set savings on how they operate. So operational gains that they're making, will that just be captured in their, in their valuation of their equity and their, and their stocks if they're publicly listed? Or will. Yeah. Or will it flow to altcoins. You know, that's been a big debate at the moment. I think you've got to stay much more in the frame of the likes of Stripe and all of that. They will just be excellent at utilizing blockchain and that should accrue to their valuation. But there still will be using and communicating with public blockchains which have layer ones like the tokens. So ETH and Solana should benefit from this broader trend. But yeah, it's right to question whether flows value into altcoins that are specializing in RWAs. That's been a sector we've been skeptical on for many years and a lot of the tokens in that sector have not done well so far. But we are open to a possibility where they can start doing well. Ondo is a good example there. We've been bearish on Ondo the whole time by the assumption that we just haven't seen the value capture. So back to what we said earlier about investing based on fundamentals and treating it like on chain businesses like Ondo is great with their branding and getting their brand out there helping Build the BlackRock tokenized products. But the fees flowing through to Ondo. Why should I buy the Ondo token? How does the value accrue to the Ondo token? That question is still remains open. We're open to the idea that it does improve but right now those sorts of tokens we're just not interested in. Morpho is one that has improved in recent weeks with all this gaining hype and attention on vaults ever since ETH Denver was conference was earlier this earlier this month vaults was the main takeaway from there everyone was talking about volts morpho v2. So we're monitoring all of that stuff. But right now we are in a bear market and these token prices we are more focused on researching for getting those gains in the tail end of the bear market. So starting to invest in you know, your Solanas of the past cycle. You know where it went up from 8 up to as high as about 280 again. No one will ever time the bottom and top but those gains are absolutely bought into at the end of the bear market. That's where we've had our most success. So we're monitoring these sorts of projects. Mm yeah.
And Matt, maybe I might even share just like you know where we have a lot of people that come through is they just, you know, they don't know. I guess the best place to you know which altcoins get into like what to buy like that's like, that's obviously a very common question. So we get, you know, what we put together in our portfolio is obviously the altcoins that we're investing in. And then it changes based on what's on our watch list and what we have in our portfolio. So it changes. Right? So what we say today is probably going to be different in a month's time because some of the best investments may not even exist yet. So, you know, when people come in, you know, as an example, one of our members just, you know, came in and, you know, whether it was syrup that he invested in was up 17% in a week. He was watching YouTubers and listening to influencers. Like, it changes because, you know, this is what we're sharing with our portfolio. It's not just what, you know, a YouTuber is saying online with an altcoin. There's no. Their incentive is not to make sure it performs well. They just want to keep putting new, you know, new altcoins out. And that was, you know, a couple of. One of our couples, actually. Where is it a couple?
Yeah.
Mentioned this is just a few weeks ago now, Martin and Julie, they didn't have any, you know, crypto exposure. They're elderly couple. You know, they both retired this week, paid off their house and their mortgage by following our personal portfolio structure and they were totally broke five years ago. And again, the key difference here is that, you know, you're following a portfolio that we are literally managing ourselves. It's not just a spray and pray approach where you're just going to go figure it out. And that's what Matt's talking about with the research. You know, you see the portfolio updates regularly. You know, Matt, you know, you just did a portfolio update on the platform literally yesterday. You know, talking about the accumulation strategy where we're buying what the, what the portfolio looks like, you know, what we're actually getting. So that all comes through, obviously, the WhatsApp, and it changes from time to time. And then people have altcoins as well, Matt, that they don't know about. They just message us in the WhatsApp and then we can do a bit of a deep dive on it. So that's kind of the big difference.
I think that's probably one of the biggest benefits, just being able to ask the research team throughout the day, just like, what are your thoughts on this that I'm holding? Rather than you can go directly to the research and consume it, obviously. But for those who are particularly time poor, just asking us in our WhatsApp group for. For that is a big benefit for sure.
100 some good questions coming through. Good. See all the people filling out the form as well. So yeah, once you get to the form folks, you get to the, the calendar. You can book in a time. So look forward to speaking with everyone that's filling that out. Keep seeing your questions folks.
Yeah, we're going from Brady here. Yeah, do you believe the four year cycle played out and we're currently in a bear market or do you think this is a large pullback in an extended five year cycle like many were predicting? Yeah, this is still, it's interesting. We're like 50% down and there's still. I've seen different people still saying it isn't a bear market yet. I was speaking to someone earlier this week and unfortunately the messaging in their group is still very much like buying old coins coins and just buying down as they keep going lower, just continue to buy and believe, have conviction in these cryptocurrencies. They will all turn out to be great in time. And that's just fully having the blinkers on or rose colored glasses. It is a bear market, Brady. It absolutely is a bear for so many reasons. And it's been a bear market for a while now. The peak of this cycle and well, it is, it is a cycle now. It is a new cycle. Like the peak of that was, you know, more than four months ago, early October. So yeah, that's basically where we're at. There were people sort of predicting it to be a five year cycle and naming it and all of that. So far it has played out the four year cycle. I still am of the belief it will eventually like the four year cycle in many years from now won't be a thing anymore. But it did play out this time again for various reasons. So it has played out now for topping out in the year after the halving bitcoin topping out in the fourth quarter. So I think that's now the fourth time in a row that that has happened. And yeah, just to be super clear, we are in a bear market and yeah have been communicating with, with our members about why we're still not buying, you know, and that's being the case. But that patience is what pays off and has what has led us to our best investments is by being patient and not just pretending like everything's okay. Yeah, more altcoins being, being created. Yeah. Adam, since me and Ben got into crypto in 2017, like there were only, you know, several hundred altcoins. They were complicated to Launch. As time went on, we got meme coins. And now with these days, you're getting thousands of tokens being created per day, adding to this whole pool of altcoins. That's not necessarily inherently bad. Assuming you actually are continuing to see an increase in demand. So our new investors coming in, that can still be okay if supply is being diluted and things, but we haven't seen that additional demand. And we've also been seeing increased supply of altcoins. So both of those have downward pressures on prices. And yes, I think there just will be continued to be launching of altcoins and millions of altcoins as time goes on through things like Vibe coding or creating them with AI, none of them really ever get any meaningful valuations. May be worth a few thousand dollars market cap. Cap or tens of thousands of dollars market cap. I sort of view that as a separate sort of pocket of the industry or market, if you will, compared to the more sort of serious altcoin investors who are more looking for fundamentals in things like hyper Liquid and things like that, I think that's a very separate sort of investor crowd, if you will. So the answer to your question is that dilution will continue, but as I said, that may be a problem or it may not be a problem, depending on what happens on the demand side of things. Okay, Stripe. Yeah, Stripe. There's rumors that Stripe may be buying PayPal. They've made several acquisitions. They've made multiple crypto acquisitions in the past two years. So Bridge was the biggest acquisition in the crypto industry's existence. That was about 18 months ago. Stripe acquiring Bridge. So Bridge is sort of building out sort of the tempo blockchain for Stripe. And Stripe also acquired Privy, which is one of the leading sort of UX sort of wallet teams or businesses in the crypto space. So yeah, they're definitely building out, as we said, a lot of these institutions and payment companies and fintech companies just building out their crypto teams at the moment. Will October 2026 therefore be the end of this bear market again? As time's gone on, we've seen the cyclicality of crypto be very strong. And as the past two cycles showed, we took about 12 months or so from the top, the all time highs to hit what were the cycle lows. So for example, the end of 2017, we saw early December Bitcoin hit around US$20,000. Roughly 12 months later, I think it was a bit longer, you know, 13 months or so later we got to $3,000. And then in November 2021, we hit $69,000 U.S. and then, you know, roughly a year later after the FTX collapse, November 2022, we were at around 15,000. So for those newer to crypto, that's some context. And therefore everyone is saying now, well, does that mean it's going to be 12 months again? I will say the same thing, as I often say, and it's a very small sample size. I think anyone investing just based off a date, it's fraught with danger. In my opinion over the long term you can get a few more cases where maybe it does play out. And I'm open to the idea that it does end up bottoming out in October. I don't personally expect US$29,000 to be the bottom. Why MM is saying 29,000 is because that would be more or less a similar drawdown compared to the two bull markets prior. I don't think, for many reasons, I don't think 29,000 is, is possible, like. Well, I think it can be possible, but it's definitely not my base case. There'd have to be some unforeseen event I think, to cause a capitulation that low. Probably something to do with quantum computing, to be honest. Like, and risks associated with that, I think would be the biggest reason I could see it dipping and crashing that low in this year. But yeah, our base case is certainly more or less around in the 50 thousands. There is a probability or a low possibility it goes below 50,000. But as we've gone through on the charts before, when you zoom out whether you're buying Bitcoin at 46,000, 51,000, 56,000, 61,000, yes, they all are different percentages, but as time goes on, they'll be excellent opportunities to buy in at Bitcoin. I think as time goes on,
I just want to just jump in really quick as Matt's going through these. We've, we've obviously gone past the 90 minutes, folks, so we want to say if you have to jump off, thank you for, for spending a bit of time with us. Hopefully you learned some, some good insights, David, thank you. Learn a lot, have some homework. Yeah, it's good, period. We'll send out the replay as well. You have available for the next few days, folks. You can watch it back. As I mentioned, there's, there's five spots. I think there's already a couple of people that have come through, which is, which is great. So there's calls coming in. Looking forward to speaking to the people that, you know, we Just want to jump on a call and see where the, the best option is and sort of ask any questions where we can continue to help through that link that we put in the chat. So just a reminder, that's both the Platinum and our accelerator. You can book through the form you apply and pick a time that's best suited for you and then you can jump on a call with either David or Reece and then we look forward to get you on board and get our strategy sessions in place and get the portfolio in order.
Mick here saying, why can't this be similar to 2021 where we saw that, that massive drawdown, you know, in, in the, in the year. Yeah. Thanks sue, for booking and seeing some other bookings coming through as well. Yeah, anything is possible. We could have that scenario in 2021 where we saw around, I think a 50 crash in Bitcoin and all other altcoins just, just crashed the. There's just so many reasons why I firmly am not having that as my base case. Yeah. There. I think as history has gone on and we've sort of. Actually there's a lot of data has come out that a lot of that secondary pump in 2021 was more so driven by Alameda Research and FTX. They were. There's evidence of them sort of juicing up prices essentially to keep it simple in the back half of 2021 causing that second top. And that would explain why all of the top signals, traditional top signals in crypto did fire off in April 2021 on chain indicators. Social indicators were all topping out in 2021. When you look back, November 2021, all time high price again for bitcoin, but barely any altcoins. There were hardly any altcoins that made all time highs again. And all the social metrics and other on chain metrics were still way down compared to April. So the monetary policy, there's so many things that are different now. It was obviously still when there were free money going on in 2021. Jerome Powell famously came out at the end of 2021, sort of putting the death knell or starting the bear market for crypto because that's when he announced sort of okay guys, like we're done with this sort of near zero interest rate policy, it's time to start sort of hiking rates. And that's when the whole global investor community started to go a bit more risk off and sort of de risking. So that's like two big examples about why I don't think we'll have this vicious sort of back upward trend like we had in 2021. So we don't have fraud like Alameda Research. And it's a whole different monetary policy outlook in 2026 compared to 2020.
Yeah, great call, Maddie. Lots of questions and stuff coming in. Thank you everyone that's in the chat. Thank you for jumping in. Benny and Ahmed Sue. Just to be clear, if you booked in and took the call but didn't see the email to join up. So if you've. If you've booked in. So that will come through over. Once you filled out that form, you'll come to the calendar. So you just fill out this, put in your details, then hit schedule and then you'll get an email to a link where you'll jump on a call during that time. Otherwise, if you have any issues with the timing, you can just email us@Supportollectiveshiftio. If there's any other questions, folks, feel free to send them through. We've got a couple. Maybe one more minute here.
Oh, Stephen, yeah, sorry for missing your question there. Where do most people keep their hard wallet? Yeah, it varies. I know people who keep it like in a safe at their house, whether. Yeah, their residential house. I know people. Another popular option is having it at a bank deposit vault and paying like an annual subscription essentially and keeping the hardware wallet there. Or at the very least a seed phrase to that wallet. More importantly, and keeping the hardware wallet perhaps at home so long as the seed phrase is separate to it. They're probably two very, very common, very common places people store it.
Rick, if you can make the dates given, can we do it in early match? Yes, you can, Rick. I'll get either drop us an email or I'll get one of them just flagged for one of the team to reach out and shoot you an email or a call to help you out. The available dates are just the next three days for the 72 hours. But if you aren't available till March, we can get that sorted. Reece will be in touch. Perfect. Cool. Any other questions, Matty, that we've. Thank you, Manon. Substantial content. No worries.
Lovely.
Thank you, Mick. Awesome, Brady. Thanks guys. Good session. Well, we might wrap it up there, Matt, unless there's anything else we missed.
Oh, your last one, Rick. Yeah, seeing some. Some calls coming through as well from Rick here. Last one I'll get through. Any suggestions on how to best capture the. The bottom Lump sum investing or dollar cost averaging or a mix of both? Yeah, I'm much more in favor being someone who's. I Guess living and breathing crypto. Selfishly, I am at an advantage of sort of being tapped into what's going on and when a good time is happening. So I can be a bit more flexible in doing a mix of both. Rick, to answer your question, or I would call it dollar cost averaging with almost a hybrid of that and being able to accelerate or ramp up the dollar cost averaging when there are capitulation sort of sell offs. That's our favorite strategy at collective shift, I would call it dollar cost averaging with a caveat of pulling the levers or pushing the levers when things are crashing. As I said earlier, I think anything under US$70,000 personally represents really good long term value. If you are already holding bitcoin or crypto, the cryptocurrencies, I think there's more of a stronger case to be made that when waiting to see sort of what happens that risk can be afforded to be taken a bit more because you are already holding those cryptocurrencies. So by that I mean whether we meet the 200 week moving average, a lot of people are pointing to that's around 58,000 at the moment. It's trending higher as time goes on. In about at the start of April it should be around crossing $60,000 that 200 week moving average. So whether we meet that again like we have in the three past bear markets, that's something we're expecting as a team. So that's just something to consider. But do note that you're almost certainly not going to invest everything at the absolute local bottom. That shouldn't be the aim anyway. Over time in crypto you can make tremendous returns by getting more, more or less close to buying the bottom and then selling on the way up or just even holding through multiple cycles and continuing to add to it. Depends on your style.
Awesome. I've got to leave the hotel Matt, so we might have to wrap up there. I'm going to get kicked out in a second. Thanks everyone for tuning in. It's been an awesome session. We'll send out the replay so you can watch it back for the next 72 hours and all the things that I mentioned in terms of the Platinum membership and how we can work with our clients. We'll send over by email as well so you can check out. We look forward to having all the conversations with everyone today. Looks like a lot of calls coming in, so look forward to working with all of you and thank you Matt for your time.
Lovely. Yeah, that was great. Thanks everyone for the questions and yeah looking forward to hearing from you more.
Fantastic. Thanks, guys.
Thanks.
It.
