Ben Simpson (speaker/creator) delivers a short, practical YouTube monologue advising holders of altcoins on how to avoid common losses. He argues most losses come from emotional, reactive trading (the "yo-yo" of selling in dips and buying in recoveries) and recommends having a clear strategy and goals: accumulate during market corrections and sell during periods of volatility. The piece is prescriptive and focused on behavioral rules rather than technical analysis.

What should you do if your altcoins are down right now, if they're underwater? Well, this is exactly why your altcoins are underwater is because you're playing an emotional rollercoaster, making poor decisions at every point. The big thing here is whenever I've made money in crypto, it's always because I've had a strategy and I've had a goal. What happens if you don't have that strategy is you get caught on the yo yo and making poor decisions based on emotions. Crypto is volatile. When the market dips, you get panicked because you don't want to lose even more money and you sell. Usually the point you sell is in a correction. It is when the market starts to bottom. The market then recovers and then you start to buy again because you think you missed out. What you need to do is not be on the yo yo, have those goals and accumulate during periods of corrections and sell in periods of volatility. Without that, with no goals, with no strategy, you're going to lose. If you have the right strategy, you accumulate right now where the market is down. That's where you end up with profit. Get off the yo yo and start making the right decisions.
